Half mile out of town, Private entrance, private parking. studio apartment is one large room plus bathroom with shower. One queen bed and a futon that opens into a twin bed. (Floor mattress can be added if necessary) Kitchen consists of a full size refrigerator, electric cook stove, microwave, kitchen sink, kitchen island, dining table, desk for work space. Cooking utensils and all linens are provided. Big screen tv and fast wifi internet connection, Close to the road but surprisingly minimal road noise. No other houses nearby. The other part of the building is my workshop for hand dyed garments. Located centrally to Current River and several state parks.

Nice day get away

Owners Laura and Kirk was very nice enjoyed talking with them very clean bed gave a very nice rest 100% will stay here again when in the area

The property was fine for a single person or a couple for a day or two. There is no closet or storage space for clothes, so you must live out of your luggage. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bathroom is fine. The decor is a bit eccentric, but that doesn’t affect one’s comfort. Overall, this studio is fine for a weekend fishing trip, but I wouldn’t want to stay with my spouse or anyone else.for longer than that.

Well the property is called ‘Travelers Rest’ not ‘Family Home For Months’. Some folks find the decor charming, your perception as eccentric is subjective.

If there was an option for 10 out of 10 stars, I would absolutely be giving it. This was a wonderful cute little stay. I’m up here for work so I definitely didn’t wanna spend an arm & leg on a hotel so I was very grateful to find a cute little room where I could cook myself dinner and have a nice relaxing evening in the quiet. They messaged back almost immediately every time I needed to send a message or had an issue and then they also came to my rescue when I dropped my phone behind a precarious spot in the bathroom while trying to listen to music while showering and they came within about 30 minutes to help me retrieve my phone. They were so wonderful so nice if I’m ever in the area again, I will 100% be staying here !! They also left a cute little bowl of snacks and there was even a dinner option in the freezer. I thought that was a beautiful touch.

Studio rental near floating

My husband and I stayed here two nights when in the area on a float trip. It fit our needs perfectly for a reasonable price.

Good stay!

First off, the lady who complained about the odor is completely full of it. It smelt clean and fresh, even pleasant. It’s a very convenient location and very affordable. Laura was kind and responsive. I also appreciated the protein snacks she provided that were great to bring on all my river floats.

HEED MY WARNING

Very unpleasant any would not recommend anyone to stay there. There is a very strong musty/moldy smell. If you express your concerns and bad experience to the owner, you get called names nor does vrbo care. .

I am so grateful that this was not my first guest, it would be devastating. Been hosting on the other platform for 4 years, have 304 reviews, 4.8 out of 5 stars, not one of them said what this hateful person said. I don’t know what her problem is, the room is a nice room at a fair price, she’s got a screw loose.

First, I think it’s a great location, the photos accurately represent the home, and the hosts were friendly and kind in the short interaction I had with them. I did end up leaving to stay at a hotel and requesting a refund from VRBO however. When I got to the front door I was hit by a wall of cigarette, marijuana, and ammonia odor. I’m not exaggerating when I say that 30 minutes inside had my eyes, nose, and chest burning and I’m not typically sensitive to smells like that. The home looked clean on the surface so I have no idea where the smell was coming from. I also felt the linens should’ve been updated. I get that the style is eclectic but all of the towels and washcloths were old, stained, and smelled of mildew and smoke. I really don’t understand how the reviews for this home are all perfect and don’t mention a smell at all, but I got out of there ASAP and wouldn’t recommend this place unless VRBO confirms they fix some things.

Appreciate the extras

While we brought food and seasonings to cook, it was nice to see a variety of available food items in the pantry. Nice touch!
