Great Stay---As Always

We stayed again this year at our favorite VRBO in Aiken. It's a great house, in a superb location and with a great hostess.

We just completed our stay at this wonderful house---we have been multiple times. Great location and a very nice residence. No drama; no problems. Just what you want in a VRBO in Aiken.

Aiken Cottage

Susan was amazing with her communication… the house is in a beautiful location… we enjoyed coffee in the screened in porch every morning! Overall it was a wonderful stay in a very lovely and friendly town! Thankyou!!

Adorable house in perfect location with pool

Our tennis team really enjoyed our stay at this house close to downtown Aiken. The location could not have been more perfect. It really felt like we were In the heart of Aiken on beautiful Boundary Lane. We loved the pool! You do share it with another renter but that was not a problem. We loved the layout of the house and the big kitchen. We cooked and played games in the den. I would have liked all the rooms to have king beds or a room with twin beds to accommodate non-couples for better sleeping arrangements but we made it work. The den can be a bedroom as well. The owner is awesome and super communicative over any issues. She had a plumbing issue resolved immediately which was impressive. We hope to come back and stay again next year!

Fantastic Place, Awesome Host!

We absolutely LOVED the house! Very tastefully decorated with incredible art throughout, it was ideal for our family to enjoy in complete comfort. My mother in-law particularly liked how well laid-out the kitchen was, (as well as the availability of gourmet-quality cookware and utensils), while we all enjoyed relaxing in the private back yard area under a canopy of towering mature trees. The house is perfectly located on the often-photographed (and most famous) street in Aiken, and is a quick stroll to all of the shopping and restaurants downtown. Susan was such a thoughtful host, too, and was always available to answer any questions as well as offer plenty of suggestions of things we didn't know about in town to do! This was, in a nutshell, a fantastic experience. We'll be back!!

Dont stay here

We rented this place and had a family emergency and wasn't able to stay after arriving around 8pm. The owner still hasn't acknowledged our email requesting some sort of refund as we never stayed. There is also a non- refundable property insurance fee which is not shown on the list of fees. The house has no overhead lighting in rooms so we had to use our flashlights to see where we were walking. The house had a very musty old smell and all the furniture is old and the house has a very creepy feeling inside. The photos on VRBO aren't a true picture of what it looks like in person. We were only in the house for about 20 min before we had to leave but I would highly recommend go somewhere else.

The cancellation policy is stated clearly on the VRBO website. The insurance is clearly shown as well. Sometimes renters don't read the policies thoroughly and blame the owner. I suspect this may be the case here as I have had wonderful guests that have appreciated my home in past reviews. The antique furniture and rugs are mostly from 1st dibs. The world renowned photography has been exhibited in the most prestigious museums around the world. Some properties aren't for everyone and this was obviously not a good fit. It was cleaned meticulously by my own hands. I would never present a property that was not spotless. The lighting is on dimmers. Perhaps the renter was not acquainted with the ability to dim or brighten prior to their early departure? I would only want renters that appreciate the space. It is special. Wishing this past renter all the best.

Super convenient and comfortable. We loved the pool while in town for a horseshow.

It is a lovely house and back house. So comfortable and fun. We really enjoyed our stay, the owner made everything so easy! Can't wait to come back.
