Casa Miramar is "IN TOWN" on the south side of San Juan Bay. It takes just four minutes to touch the sand (really) and maybe four more to reach the center of town, allowing for easy access to all town has to offer. Amazing views of San Juan Bay, back-up power and water, privacy, pool, AC, bluetooth portable speakers, extra surfboards...the house has it all.

Most groups book with us primarily due to our location and then are always pleasantly surprised by all that Casa Miramar has to offer. Casa Miramar is a spacious and private compound that contains two Villa's situated around an amazing courtyard full of lush landscaping. Both of the Villa's are situated to fully maximize the excellent ocean and town views. The front doors of each Villa open up to your private pool oasis and BBQ veranda. Upon your arrival you will be stopped in your tracks by the breathtaking views of the entire bay and beach. The exterior of the property is surrounded by tropical plants, flowers, and trees. No detail has been overlooked for your comfort. Well furnished and impeccably maintained. This is your home away from home.

Each bedroom has whisper-quiet A/C units and ceiling fans to keep you cool while you sleep.

All bedrooms are located on the upper story.

Living areas in both Villas are downstairs with two complete kitchens, two living rooms, two dining rooms and two half bathrooms.

The outdoor area consists of a beautiful pool with a shallow side and a spacious pergola-covered patio with a BBQ, Pizza oven, sink, and table and chairs. A pleasantly landscaped courtyard separates the two villas which are never rented separately and allows guests with larger groups to have more than ample interior space for everyone

With the ocean, it is easy for surfers to check the wind and wave conditions by glancing at the direction of the boats moored in the bay, and the size of the San Juan Beach Break. Boat trips for surfing or fishing can be booked by request on a modern and fast boat with a knowledgeable Captain for an excellent price.

As the owner of Zen Yoga, your stay includes half-off Yoga classes, and discounted massage (either at the studio or at the house). You can see the studio schedule and special offerings at ZenYogaNicaragua...just look us up on the web.

We also have a meal plan or cooking service if groups want to leave that detail to someone else. Just let us know.

Absolutely Amazing!

Our group celebrated a milestone birthday and reunion, and we couldn’t have picked a better location. The villas are beautiful and situated close to town, so walking everywhere is possible. Our wonderful hosts, Vanessa and Deborah, helped us with details like a private sailing tour and a celebratory meal at the villa. I can’t recommend this property enough!

We had an unforgettable stay at Miramar House! The stunning ocean views took our breath away, and the comfort and warmth of the entire space made us feel like we were in our own home. The cozy bedrooms with breathtaking views were the perfect haven for relaxation. The location was ideal, with easy access to the beach, port, and city center. Gorgeous house with amazing view

My family of 9 people loved staying at this location. The property and rooms were so spacious, each with their own AC, balcony and view of the bay of San Juan Sur. This property had two separate buildings each with their own kitchen and a shared outdoor space and since we were such a large group the two kitchens really came in handy. The building basically faces the bay so you always have this gorgeous view of the ocean and of the Cristo de la Misericordia. Check in was super easy, there is a guidebook with instructions on nearby amenities and the owner is easily accessible with any additional questions you may have. I would highly recommend this property if you are traveling with a large group. We loved our visit to San Juan Sur and Nicaragua overall!

We spent some time in between Christmas and new years with family and the house was perfect. We enjoyed the pool and the proximity to town was ideal. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Property in San Juan Del Sur

We had an amazing stay at this property in San Juan del Sur! The views overlooking the bay and are absolutely breathtaking. The home is well-equipped, spacious, and perfect for our group of four adults, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy.The gated property felt secure, with convenient codes for both the gate and the apartment doors. The layout is great, with bedrooms on the upper level for added privacy. The pool was a highlight, and the extra parking area for cars, ATVs, and bikes was a great bonus. The walk up to the House from Tuani's takes about 5 minutes , it is a bit of a climb but makes for a great VIEW! The host was terrific and made the experience seamless. We would definitely visit again. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty and charm of San Juan del Sur!

Great Location

We had an amazing stay at Casa Miramar. The location is perfect and is only a short walk to town. The house also has amazing views. Vanessa and her mom were easy to communicate with and made sure special accommodations were made as we brought our one year old son with us. We hope to return soon!

Perfect Family Getaway

The house met all our needs and more! We traveled with family ages from 8yo-67yo and all enjoyed the property. Home is setup with plenty of space, beautifully designed, comfortable and clean. The location is walkable to beach and many restaurants. Staff onsite is helpful and great cooks, we booked them for all our breakfasts and a few dinners. The host is very resourceful and responsive. We will be booking this home for all our future visits to San Juan del Sol!

Another great stay at Casa Miramar

This was our second time staying at Casa Miramar and it was perfect for our two families- easy walking to town and 15 minute drive from beaches. Our host took pains to be sure we had electricity and water while the town was experiencing shortages. Cooked meals at home were delicious.

An oasis in San Juan del Sur - nice and breezy

We had a great trip to San Juan while visiting family in Managua. After the heat of Managua, the home was perfect with a pool for the kids and AC in the bedrooms. Perched above town, there was always a nice breeze, and the town and restaurants were just a short walk away. Thanks, Vanessa!

We would not hesitate for a second recommending this place to anyone looking for a luxurious experience in SJDS. The place was perfect. We were 2 families with children. Vanessa was a super host. 5-star Vacation Home - As Advertised

Casa Miramar is a beautiful, comfortable house situated just far enough from town to be away from most of the noise, but close enough that everything including the far side of town is an enjoyable walk away. Whisper quiet air conditioning and attentive, trustworthy staff were the highlights of the listed amenities that set this rental apart. That and the host Vanessa and her mom who go above and beyond with recommendations and accommodations. Don’t hesitate to book your stay at Casa Miramar! San Juan Del Sur has so much to offer! We sailed, surfed, saw whales, rode horses, and explored nearby beaches and Tree Casa resort. Also the restaurants in SJDS impressed our whole group of 10!

Paradise walking distance to town

Spacious 2 Casa property. Gorgeous views made for much needed relaxation by the pool, on the verandas or under the covered patio. Vanessa is wonderful and full of great information. She set up massages for 6 of us at Casa Miramar. 90 minutes of pure relaxation for each of us. The cleaning, security and gardening staff were all excellent and kept the Casa immaculate. All wanted to make our stay perfect. Casa Miramar has fantastic views with an easy walk to town. Spacious very comfortable rooms with water views. We had several dinner engagements or we would have taken advantage of having meals cooked in the Casa. We have definitely found the Casa for our yearly retun visits.

Amazing Property in Paradise

We had the most amazing two week stay at this gorgeous property. There were six adults staying at these two villas. The property owner was fabulous with communication during our stay, offering suggestions for activities and dining, when asked. We also had amazing massages at their Yoga studio (Zen Yoga). The villas are well appointed with everything needed for a perfect stay. The kitchens had all the utensils required to cook fantastic meals - and the barbecue was a great addition as well. The beds were comfy, the sheets soft, the air conditioning in the bedrooms was welcomed at the end of the hot day. And the water pressure was fantastic in the gorgeous showers! Not something you always find in rentals in these countries. The staff were lovely: friendly, polite and diligent. Night security was reassuring and the pool was well maintained during our stay. Housekeeping staff was on it as well - nothing was overlooked. The location offered beautiful views and was super close to town, making it easy to walk down for dinner or a morning walk on the beach. Can’t imagine needing anything else in a property. This was the best stay we’ve ever had! Two thumbs up. Five stars. Ten out of ten. Love love love this property, the owner, and we love SJDS. Nicaragua is a special place, so it was fitting we got to stay at such a special property. Thank you so much for making it the most memorable and comfortable vacation!

Next Level Hospitality from Vanessa and her Crew!

Our stay at this vacation home was nothing short of magical! Our family of eight, including small children, had an absolutely fantastic time, and we cannot stop raving about our experience. Nestled at the top of a hill, we were treated to breathtaking views of San Juan Del Sur. It struck a perfect balance between tranquility and accessibility to local attractions. Whether we were exploring nearby Beaches or enjoying the large pool, maintained daily by the staff, the setting was idyllic. One of the standout features of our stay was the exceptional communication with Vanessa. From the moment we inquired about the property to the end of our stay, Vanessa demonstrated unwavering hospitality and responsiveness. She was not only accommodating but also went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. We were particularly impressed by Vanessa's willingness to make adjustments to her home to better suit our family's needs. Her patience and understanding, especially in the face of our numerous questions, truly set her apart. While the hill up to the house is a doozy, no one can fault anyone on that – after all, Nicaragua is hilly! The slight challenge of getting to the property was well worth the stunning views and peaceful seclusion once we arrived. I have so much more to say but this comment box only holds so many Characters!

Wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our vacation week in SJDS and Casa Miramar was the perfect place to stay. It really is close to everything in town and very walkable, but also just far enough away to be elevated and get the amazing views! We had two families in our group so the two-casa layout was perfect for us, with plenty of room to spread out indoors, but also having the veranda for relaxing and eating our meals. If you asked our kids, the pool was the biggest hit and it was easy for us to keep an eye on them. For the house, the kitchen had everything we needed for making meals, the beds were comfortable with nice cold AC, and the library was a bonus! The pool, cleaning, and night watchman staff that attended to the house were all gracious and helpful so we felt well taken care of, and very safe. Vanessa and Deborah (the house manager) were wonderful, very friendly and quick to respond, and they were helpful with transit and activity recommendations plus any oddball questions we asked. We also took advantage of Vanessa's Zen Yoga Studio nearly every day and both the yoga and massages were fantastic! Overall, a wonderful experience for us and we would highly recommend staying here, we hope to go back someday!

Stay Here!

We stayed for 5 weeks at Casa Miramar. We enjoyed the view and proximity to town every day. Vanessa and Deborah were incredibly helpful when anything came up. Vanessa has lived in SJDS for years and knows how everything works. She even helped book certain activities for us. She totally made the trip for us! She went above and beyond your average VRBO host. The housekeepers/ cooks, Rosa and Patricia, were awesome. Their food is the best, especially breakfast. I highly recommend the meal plan, especially if you have large groups. The pool is the perfect temperature and the house was great for guests. There are 3 bedrooms on one side- two queen beds and a king- and 2 bedrooms on the other- two king beds. It made for easy hosting when friends and family came to visit. Overall, don't hesitate. Just book this trip.

San Juan Gem

Casa Miramar was a great place with plenty of room for our big group. It was right in town, so we didn't need to rent a car. The service and care of staff and host were exceptional. It was a little hard to hike the hill, but the view and the pool made up for it.

AMAZING HOUSE

My family and I stayed in this wonderful house for 6 days and we couldn't be happier. The house has everything you can possible need. Also, the owner sends cleaning and guard personal every day. The cleaning ladies are wonderful and always very responsive and respectful. The house is cleaned daily and every issue is resolved right away. The night we arrived, we arrived late and had some issues finding the place but we contacted Vanessa and her mom and were giving directions with no problem. We cant say enough about the view that the house has, it was perfect! The rooms are spacious and all have air condition. My kids loved the pool an we loved the house. The House is also located close to the beach and restaurants. We look forward on coming back to this Wonderful place. Thank you Vanessa for allowing us to spend a wonderful time in your lovely house.

Magical Casa Miramar

We fell in love with Nicaragua and are so thankful for the experience we had at Casa Miramar- honestly life changing! We definitely plan to be back and hope our paths cross again with Vanessa and her amazing team at this beautiful house. My husband and I came with 5 big kids ranging from 22 to 14, and our littlest who is 5. Her favorite part of the whole trip was the pool at the house- they all loved it, and everyone enjoyed the whole space overall. We chose to have some of our meals prepared by Patricia and Rosa, and were welcomed home our first night with the most delicious dinner. They made THE BEST breakfasts for us every morning (except Sunday), and we can’t stop raving about them to everyone who asks about our trip- I consider myself a foodie (to the point where the kids tease me about being a food snob;) and they totally blew me away with their skills, thoughtfulness, and creativity 🙏🙏🙏 They could have made us the same thing every morning, but kept surprising us with new specialties each day. The food in Nicaragua is a bounty of the freshest seafood, fruits, vegetables, and Patricia and Rosa have a magic touch with preparing it all - cannot recommend the meal plan enough! Our trip was everything we hoped for and so much more- forever grateful for the memories I know we will all cherish for a lifetime!💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛

We (Vanessa & Will) moved to San Juan in 2005 from Ventura, California, bought the land and built a house because we love it here.

We had our three boys born right here in Nicaragua and love raising them in this gorgeous country. Keeping it simple and free.

Will builds custom homes, coaches soccer and surfs as much as possible. Vanessa loves yoga and built and opened Zen Yoga in 2012, she is also very active in the community and at her children's school. Vanessa is also a doula.

We enjoy the simple and easy pace of life in San Juan. It is a great place to live and the temperature is always nice, so we are outside a lot...at the beach surfing, swimming, or just lounging by the pool.

We have all the connections here for any excursions, spa services, etc to make the perfect vacation.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! The house is in San Juan and high enough for awesome views but still walking distance to everything. The neighborhood is safe, friendly, and you can purchase fish, shrimp lobster, or beer on the way home.

Since Casa Miramar is IN town a vehicle is not needed. But, we have an extra 4x4 to rent if you want to e xplore for a day or more. Many beaches can be accessed with a town shuttle, taxi, or panga boat trip.
