Rocky Top Retreat-Decorated for Christmas Near NPS

Summary:

Rocky Top Retreat is a newly built cabin featuring a large covered wrap around porch for relaxing and enjoying wildlife. Inside the space is adorned with shiplap walls, cypress floors, concrete countertops and black stainless appliances. There is also a gas fireplace and lots of custom carpentry. It’s truly a unique space in our area that combines traditional materials with modern conveniences.



The Space:

RTR offers 1 Private King Bedroom on the main level and a Sleeper Sofa in the Great Room. You'll find a second Private Queen Bedroom upstairs as well as an open sleeping loft with a Queen and twin bed. A roll away bed is also available.



Guest Access:

Once guests have completed required documents, guidelines and codes will be delivered the day of arrival.



The Neighborhood:

Our Cabin is less than a mile to Adventures on the Gorge. The New River Gorge Bridge is within a couple of miles and downtown Fayetteville is 4 miles away. Rafting, hiking, biking,climbing,swimming, and fishing are all nearby. Summersville lake is a short drive away.

The cabin was perfect for our needs. It is close to the adventure outfit where we enjoyed zip lining and rafting. Michael was quick to response to our needs. The porch is wonderful to enjoy morning coffee or family game night after grilling on the gas grill. Nice cabin tucked back in the woods.

Property is clean and fairly secluded. Perfect for an unplug getaway. Host was very communicative and flexible. Other things future travelers might want to know:Cell service is still goodLocation is super closer to New River Gorge Bridge and Adventures on the Gorge. There’s a grocery store less than 10 minutes away. No laundry on site. The hot tub is very nice.

Updated! The pictures don’t match what you get, when we was there it looks like they are updating things. Hopefully they keep the front door, it is what helped confirm that we were at the right place. Just been nice if the posted pictures and descriptions would be updated too. It isn’t Christmas themed cabin.

The Cabin was very clean. They are doing a few major upgrades to the fire pit area and a new amazing hot tub. They were such a nice addition. The host Michael was very informative and responded quickly to all questions. Will definitely love to stay there agsin

Rocky Top Retreat is incredible!! We were there for a weekend and didn't want to leave. The decor and layout make it feel so cozy, and the location cannot be beat. The hot tub was toasty and provided a beautiful view of the stars. Michael is one of the most considerate and courteous hosts I have dealt with. He made the whole stay go smoothly, and kindly alerted us to some weather that could impact our stay. I hope I am able to stay at Rocky Top again soon!

We built this cabin in 2019 as an investment. We love the property so much we decided to share it with others. This cabin is in the best location in the Fayetteville area. You are 5 minutes to town, shopping, the New River Gorge National Park and 20 minutes to beautiful Summerville lake. But you are rural enough to kick back and relax. We have 6 acres of woods for your family and all of your fur babies to enjoy. There’s over 500 sq ft of covered porch for a rainy day or an evening grilling some dinner. The outdoor fire pit and hot tub are our two favorite amenities. You’ll love Rocky Top Retreat!
