Stay in private unit in Historic Downtown Pleasant Hill! Suite is located right on the Rock Island/Katy Trail! Beautiful 1940's home renovated into 3 private suites. This suite features a private bedroom with king memory foam bed, queen pull out sofa sleeper, electric fireplace, dish network TV in living area and bedroom, WIFI, bath and kitchenette. In suite laundry provided for your convenience. Kitchen provides fridge with ice maker, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and basic cooking utensils.

This house contains 3 individual and private units available for rental. Lauren's Loft, Drew's Den and Rebecca's Retreat are the units.

Just not really what we were hoping for as far as our stay. Unfortunately for us, one of us (we're from Ohio) became ill from the lettuce bacteria issue. That played in hard to how we rated this stay: 1.There was parking out front, but it was taken day and night because the Cass County Fair was in full swing. We did not know this upon booking. Walking 4 blocks "home" when you don't feel good stinks. Would have been helpful if those spots, like driveways around there, had been marked "private drive," so paying guests had a place to park. 2. The washing machine would not work. It was around 10pm Saturday night when we discovered the issue - hosts replied to us around 1230a....we'd given up and gone to bed by then because we were leaving the next day. That meant we had to cart dirty laundry from one of us being sick back home. Ugh. 3. One of the specific reasons we booked this little nook was because it listed "air conditioning" as an amenity. The rental units actually utilize mini-splits. Might not seem like a big deal, but re-circulating already existing air within a space is very different than pulling fresh, outside air in and cooling it. No one, when they're feeling unwell, wants to be in a stuffy, damp-feeling space. Unfortunately, some less-than-ideal, quirky issues with the rental complicated by one of us feeling under the weather. But, a working washer, a parking spot out front, and cool, fresh air would have made the experience more tolerable.

Sorry your trip was not as you had hoped. Thank you for the feedback regarding the fair, we were unaware of the parking issue that created. We were also unaware of any issues with the washing machine prior to your stay. Our cleaners hadn't mentioned any problems. We have now ensured the machine is in working order. Thank you for staying with us.

Nice little place, very clean and updated

I was in town for work and this was an adorable, clean place to stay during the week. Plenty of space and the washer/ dryer was a huge plus to have.

Arrived to a room full of cleaning chemical smell. The smell never completely left. The blanket was also full of detergent smell and we never could use it. The air conditioners dropped black stuff into the room. I don't know what that was. The place is a bit cramped, being one of 3 VRBOs put into a normal sized house. We could hear through the walls. The chairs were hard. The couch is of a non-cleanable type. So there were a lot of things wrong here. However, the things I didn't mention were quite good. So it's possible this place might get better if they address some of these issues.

Taylor Swift

My boyfriend and I stayed here while we were visiting to see Taylor Swift in concert. We booked it kind of last minute so we were very excited to see such a nice place with such an affordable price within just a few weeks of the concert. The little town is adorable and the place had everything we needed to stay comfortably.
