Modern 2 bedroom log home on Islesboro, an island off the coast of Maine with daily ferry access. Secluded lot. One queen size bed and one full size bed. Full laundry. Full kitchen. Gas appliances. Roll away bed and inflatable mattress are available. Covered front porch that looks out over Penobscot Bay. Easy walk to town recreation area. High speed internet and tv. Beautiful sunsets at the ferry landing near by. Swimming available at the various beaches. Two general stores are on the island make sandwiches and pizzas.

Video camera by the front door is only active when the house is unoccupied.

Cozy Cabin

We had a very cozy and comfortable stay here over the christmas holiday! We had everything we needed to hunker down for a few days. Would absolutely stay here again.

Cozy, quiet cabin with a good layout and nice view on the water. Easy check-in and check-out process. Host is very responsive.

Maine Cabin

This was a lovely spot. Quiet and private and very accessible to site seeing around the Island. Would definetely recommend and would stay here again.

Great spot

The cabin was perfect. Wedding weekend for a friend on the island. Cabin was perfect spot for family - comfortable, clean and close to all we needed.

Island Getaway!

A step back in time on a quiet, peaceful island. The cabin was quiet, clean and had all the amenities you needed. We would highly recommend it!

Isleboro stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our week on the Island. Biking, hiking & kayaking. The house was exactly as described. Cozy, comfy, great front porch, woodsy, with a little view of the water. Great location & very relaxing!

Great getaway

We loved this cabin in the woods, it was a great quick getaway from work and the hustle and bustle. The home, linens, and kitchen was well stocked. Everything was clean and made us a great basecamp for visiting with friends and family. We are already planning when we can return next year!

Perfect getaway

Great house, super comfortable! Enjoyed relaxing on the swing by the outside fire, grilling dinner, and morning coffee on the front porch. Great location to explore the island.

Short escape from Boston

We (two adults, one dog) spent four nights in June '24 and enjoyed all of them. Slept with open windows to the sound of the wind in the trees or the rain on the roof. Fully functional place with high speed internet, good water pressure, full kitchen, plenty coffee, easy nearby shopping. Highly recommended--both the cabin and the island.

My wife and I thought the property was fantastic. It was well maintained and very clean. If you want a nice quiet getaway I would highly recommend this place.

Great property. Great price. Great location. Property owner was communicative and responsive from the moment I made the reservation to the moment we checked out. Islesboro is a charming island with idyllic swimming locations and beautiful hiking trails. Two grocery stores are well stocked with more options than we had imagined. No need to worry about getting what you need on the island.

Quiet getaway in the woods on an island

It was definitely as presented. Steven was very quick to respond to questions. Area was quiet and those we met were extremely friendly. The only drawback is the cost of ferry trips. It doesn't matter if you planned to stay on the island and enjoy the quiet and friendly atmosphere! Lobsters were great

Great Experience!

The cabin is in a great location, just minutes from the Island Market (take note that the market is closed on Sundays so make sure you have enough groceries to get to Monday). The cabin has everything it advertised and has such a cute property. Perfect for relaxing. The owner is very nice too and easy to get ahold of. I would happily recommend this place!

rustic cabin on Maine Island

I made a mistake on the booking dates and the owner was very accommodating and was able to switch the dates on short notice. We had to leave a day early due to weather conditions and we were even refunded one night's lodging, although this was not expected.

Great cabin!!

Looks like a nice well-built cabin from the outside, but wow, when you step inside it is really a nicely laid out modern cabin! Everything we walked into was as described and more. Communication was excellent! We really enjoyed our stay on the island, finding friendly people, interesting trails, many coves and beautiful views, sun rises and sunsets, and a nice quiet lifestyle. We enjoyed sitting out and having a fire in the evening, and we sat outside on the porch quite a bit off and on days and evenings. Just a great, quiet place to "get away" from everything and unwind! Loved it! THANKS!!

All we hope for!

Everything was great and we hated to leave! First, the owner was quick to respond to the several questions we had. If he didn't know the answer, he found out for us. Everything, from floors to furniture to dishes, was very clean. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of comfortable places to sit and read in adequate light. Great porch, too! The neighbors were friendly, not the least intrusive. The location was great, right off a main road, private, but convenient to an island store, library, town office , historical society, and community center. We were about a 15 minute easy walk to a swimming beach and a park with tennis courts and playground. There were lots of nice little touches, such as a baby gate on the porch which was great to have. All the carpentry work was superb; a pleasure to see! (Confirmed by my contractor husband.) We loved the on-demand water heater, too. The kitchen, too, was well-equipped and the cabin is in general very well appointed. At sun up, golden sunshine streamed through the trees into the living room and later it shone down onto the front lawn. High speed internet and more tv than we could watch! We have stayed in several places through VRBO and this one is the best so far. We hope to come back again and for a longer time to "our" island home!

What a fabulous getaway!

After an incredibly busy year, my husband and I were looking for a quiet place without gobs of tourists. When we found this Islesboro Island, Maine cabin, it checked all the boxes. The owners are welcoming, the amenities ideal, and their “how to” helped us navigate our first trip to Maine. The island is the perfect mix of funky year round residents and short-timers like us. We loved it! I have no doubt we’ll be back to stay at the Jamesons’ delightfully tucked-away cabin!

A beautiful time away at a slower pace

This is a beautiful home in which to rest, relax, and recuperate. You have everything you could possibly need. Both general stores on the Island have anything you could wamt or meed for food. Truly a little slice of restful paradise along the coast.

Comfortable Cabin in the Woods

Great directions - central island location. Cabin itself is clean, nicely appointed with all the conveniences you would expect & more. Arriving in late October, heat was on when I arrived & was easy to operate. Everything was! Courtesy coffee pods a perk. VERY comfortable & easy place to stay. Owner very responsive. Many thanks!
