We so enjoyed our stay! Clean, comfortable rooms and an amazing view of Lake Erie. Blue herons, cardinals, wrens and a sprinkle of sparrows kept us company while reading on the screened porch. No trip is complete without walking the beach at the nearby park and picking up treasures to take home. Messages from Rick were informative and received in a timely manner. This was our third stay and there were absolutely no issues.

We had a wonderful time in this little yellow cottage. We had a beautiful view of Lake Erie and everything we needed there.It was a perfect vacation.

The rustic, vintage vibe of this cottage was charming-like staying over at Grandmas. And the hosts were great - responsive and easy to work with. Unfortunately, we were unable to enjoy the backyard and firebox because of the late season swarms of annoying midges. Not the fault of the property- just part of lake life. The views were still beautiful from the enclosed back porch and we found lots to do away from the bugs. Enjoyed the beauty of the covered bridges and found a great coffee shop in Kingsville (all things coffee house). Overall it was a great, peaceful Fall getaway. Thanks Rick and Amy for hosting us.

A beautiful view of the lake. Cozy cottage. My only complaint is that the mattresses are not comfortable. Uneven floors that are unsafe for elderly people. Also, the bathroom is very small, and hard to share if there are more than one couple staying. I think the fee is high for the condition of the place.I will say it is very conveniently located to the beach area and harbor.

This cottage was lovely and exactly what I was looking for! It combines 1930's charm with modern technology. Wifi was excellent. It reminded me of my childhood staying in old cottages. We giggled while making ice cubes; it's been a while. The view is spectacular and is probably even better when the leaves start to fall. The sound of the waves crashing while sitting on the porch swing was so relaxing. It was the only sound I heard for two hours. Township beach was wonderful; sea glass hunting was incredibly fun. I really can't think of one thing about the cottage that I'd change. Thank you to our hosts!! Will be back!! Marilyn

The proximity to and view of the water is even better than the listing indicates. The host is extremely kind and responsive. The fresh flowers were a nice touch.

My partner and I enjoyed two nights here; we had a lovely view of the sunset, and then so many stars after night fell! Place was clean; AC, heat, and wifi all worked well. Rick was an excellent host.

We really enjoyed our stay at the little cottage. It was really cute. We used the back screened in porch a lot to play games and to enjoy the view of the Lake. We would go there again.

Great property

We had a great time at the cabin. Right on the lake with beautiful views and everything we needed, and the property manager kept in touch making sure everything was good. Highly recommend and we hope to visit again.

4th of July Getaway

We love this property! Rick is a phenomenal host and is always quick to respond and courteous while going the extra mile. This property is great for all ages, close to everything, and we will definitely be back!

Great cottage

Beautiful view of the lake. Cottage was very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed driving around town and seeing all the sites. We would love to come back next year during warmer weather.

Cute cottage, nice accommodations, great view, would have enjoyed the back enclosed porch if it had been cooler. Flooring seemed soft in a few places.Enjoyed meeting host’s elderly father.

Our host was wonderful. We were met by one of the cohosts and given a warm welcome. Everything was clean and neat and exactly as described by the VRBO website. Excellent communication from the host who had previously answered all of our questions. Canary Cottage is beautiful and its view of Lake Erie is breathtaking.

Very nice lake view, 4 seasons rear patio was fantastic for playing cards, or just watching all the wildlife. While there we saw a huge eagle.

We spent a long weekend at the cottage on our first trip to Lake Erie with an 8 year-old and 7 month-old in tow. This cottage was in a quiet location yet only a minute away from a great park and beach area with free parking. I loved the charm of the old cottage and spent a lot of time taking in the view of the lake from the screened in porch. It was clean and the host was great with communicating with us. We would definitely stay here again. It provided for a relaxing trip for us.
