Traumhafte Lage in einem ruhigen kleinen Ort. In der direkten Umgebung touristische Highlights... Das Haus befindet sich in tadellosem Zustand, sehr stilvoll und komplett eingerichtet. Sehr nette Gastgeber und Ansprechpartner vor Ort. Sehr empfehlenswert !

Fabulous house in fabulous, tranquil setting!

This was a great house, very good amenities, very peaceful and beautiful setting. It will be even better I think if in summer the restaurants surrounding the house will be open, and you can stroll to them for your dinner, although we did also like the fact that everything was so peaceful now (in springtime). Only a handful of tourists going through the little hamlet of Saint Amand de Coly. Enjoyable stroll through the hamlet. Interesting past. Walking paths going from several points of Saint Amand going through the woids and up the hill. Easy ride to the local supermarket about a ten minutes drive where they have everything. Very good cooking facilities. It wasn't that hot during our stay but in the summer I think the electric blinds in front of the window in the master bedroom will certainly come in handy to block the sun. We drove all around the Dordogne from the villa and enjoyed ourselves very much! Oliver, the local caretaker was also very friendly and helped us very efficiently when there was a minor problem with the dvd player. Will recommend this place without hesitation to snyone visiting the Dordogne!

Definite luxury

This was a very upmarket property. Beautifully equipped and furnished. The heated pool and air conditioned house made it so easy to cool off when the temperature was in the 30s. The adjoining meadow was accessed from the terrace and it was easy to keep an eye on the children. The Village is a delight and worth exploring. We will go back!

Un séjour inoubliable

Nous avons passé une semaine magnifique dans la maison l'Ermitage à Saint Amand de Coly. La maison est très vaste et a été rénovée avec beaucoup de style. La cuisine ne manque de rien. La vue est imprenable et la localisation en plein milieu du village de Saint Amand de Coly est géniale et très romantique. A recommander absolument.

Rural France at its best

This is a very well laid out property in a quiet hamlet. We chose it because it has wheelchair access - albeit that you need a portable ramp to get up the small step from the lane to the path to the front door and a standard toilet chair doesn't quite fit over the toilet in the otherwise excellent accessible bathroom. Otherwise little to fault it. Excellent location, lots to see and do round about and Le Table de Jean in Coly well worth a visit even if you have to lug a wheelchair up the four steps from the road. We will be back.

L'Ermitage

The house is beautiful and so is the area. The village is very peaceful with lots of birdsong and wildflowers along the paths. We enjoyed the pool when the weather improved, and when the cover had been fixed ! Vincent was very responsive, helpful and kind. One thing that could have improved our stay was better accessibility to the two local restaurants, the steps were impossible for our son.

What an amazing place to stay

Four friends celebrating special birthdays and we wanted a special place to stay - we were not disappointed at all with L'Ermitage. The house was perfect, Vincent met us and made us feel at home, answering all our questions and readily available for a couple of minor queries on the first day after which we had everything we needed. The village was very quiet and we enjoyed lovely walks through the woods and peaceful times by the pool. Lots of lovely places to visit within 20-60 minutes drive and the local markets sell superb fish, meats, fruit & veg. We would recommend staying here to anyone who is looking for a beautiful, quality house to stay and peace and quiet.

A dream refuge far from the madding crowd

Exceptional house by the quality of its decoration but also of its furniture (e.g. TV in each bedroom). Very appreciable is the view on the large panorama on the fields from your bed as you wake up. The village is a scenery out of our century and the house is one of its characters. The welcome was sympathetic, the "roomservice" irreproachable. We warmly recommend this destination.

Stunning and very spacious property

From the minute we arrived we were blown away by this immaculately presented property. The facilities were of a high standard and the pool was an added bonus. The views from the property were perfectly tranquil and picturesque. Just a moments walk into the pretty village of St Armand du Coly. The property was perfect for us as a family and our two girls aged 14 and 19 loved the decor and feel of their chosen bedrooms. Overall we considered this to be the perfect family retreat.

An idyllic villa in a beautiful remote village

Our second stay in this charming Villa in a beautiful remote village with its own cathedral. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this idyllic part of the Dordogne. Surrounded by forests and mountains, this villa has everything included even a charming and helpful custodian who is responsive to your every needs. We went back with friends because we had such a wonderful time the first time and were so impressed with the villa and the countryside. It is remote and peaceful, truly one of the most beautiful parts of France. You won't be sorry to stay in this villa with friends or relatives. Its not cheap, but well worth the price for what you get.

Alles einfach perfekt!

Wir haben 2 wunderschöne Wochen in L´Ermitage verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr schön und gepflegt, die Einrichtung mit Liebe zum Detail ausgewählt. Die Ausstattung war top, alles funktionierte Einwand frei. Für Fragen war Vincent immer erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit und die Vermieter haben uns am Tag unseres Ankommens alle nötigen Informationen und Empfehlungen gegeben. Sogar ein Willkommens Paket war für uns parat, dass uns nach der langen Reise gut tat. Dieses Domizil ist absolut empfehlenswert gerade auch mit Kindern. In der Gegend gibt es sehr viele Sehenswürdigkeiten für Jung und Alt. Für Wassersportler oder Radfahrer bietet die Gegend auch Vieles, sogar in der Nebensaison.
