Sand Point South on Alligator Point

A secluded single family home on the gulf with 100 feet of perfect sand beach frontage. The curved 300' driveway shields the house from Alligator Drive. Your privacy further insured by the nearest public beach access being 1.5 miles away. The home is just 400 feet from the Nature Conservancy’s 145 acre Phipps Preserve. Miles of little traveled beach strolling right out the door.

3200 Sq Ft home with another 1000 Sq Ft of screen porches and 600 Sq Ft of open sun deck. A third floor tower, high in the pine tops offers view towards Dog Island and St George. Great outdoor cooking includes gas grill, gas flat top griddle, Traeger pellet smoker (pellets provided), wood smoker (fire wood and charcoal provided), charcoal grill and wood fired pizza oven. 3 Bedrooms and 2 bunk rooms. One bunk room includes game room, 65" TV, books and games. Great room opens to screen porch with two 12' doors on either side of see-thru fireplace. Spiral stair case connects the 2 screen porches and the top floor tower. Two beach side fire pits, shower house, sauna and beach items located under the house beachside.

The home will sleep 16 - 8 adults, 8 children. Master bedroom with king size bed. Upstairs Bedroom 2 has a king size bed and a patio door to a second floor screened in porch. Bedroom 3 has a queen size bed and also adjoins the second floor screened in porch. The kids' bunk room has 2 bunk beds - each with a full size mattress below a twin mattress. The second bunk room is 16' by 32' with two twin size day beds and a bunk bed with a full mattress below a twin mattress. This room also serves as a game room with 65" TV, books and games including a two person "pop a shot" basketball game.
We try to provide all that you would need for your stay at our home including paper products (paper towels, toilet paper), dish soap, laundry pods, spices, flour, sugar (white and brown), coffee (ground and some k-cups), tea, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, sunscreens, bug repellent (spray and Thermacell Patio Shield Mosquito Repeller). There is a basket of beach towels (25) by the door for your use as well. There are 15 beach chairs, 3 umbrellas, 3 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, 9 personal floatation jackets (tow be worn while using kayaks and paddle boards), 2 tubs of beach toys and games, horseshoes, badminton, and fishing rods and gear.
Prefer Saturday or Sunday check-in day.

Everything about this property was well thought out and beautiful. The outside deck areas were amazing! My family really enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards and other beach toys. Inside, the owners thought of everything that was needed for our stay to be comfortable. We look forward to staying there again.

Sand Point South is an excellent choice for anyone trying to get away from the crowds and connect with nature and the ocean. It is such a secluded getaway down at the tip of the island and the lack of people leads to an incredible amount of wildlife - dolphins, sea turtles, osprey, pelicans, tropical fish, hermit crabs, and so many species of fish! The fishing from the beach is top-notch and we appreciated the fishing gear provided at the house. Even though this is a secluded home, it is EXTREMELY well-stocked with meal-prepping tools, baking staples, good water pressure, so many beach toys, beach chairs, umbrellas, and all the other comforts of home. The calm ocean is wonderful for swimming and the beach is great for shell collecting. Our family had the best vacation we've ever had!

Personally didn’t go on the trip, but VRBO keeps requesting this my ex-husband and his new girlfriend and all went on this trip with my old friends since I booked the trip. From his sister’s Facebook profile and they had a wonderful time. No hard feelings my book it again and actually show up next time.

It was the most efficient and well stocked house! You don’t need anything but a few groceries and your clothes!! The set up is very accommodating!! Jeanne thought it out very well!! I don’t think I have ever stayed anywhere that was nicer!! Will go back!!

Great, quiet place to vacation!

This house was amazing! It has pretty much everything you need for a great relaxing vacation. The kids loved the game room. The adults enjoyed all the places to relax and cook. And everyone loved the beach. 10/10 highly recommend. The owner was very easy to work with and communicates very quickly.

Shark week.. it was awesome

We had family ranging from 88 to 6 years of age stay at Sand Point South for what was a pretty great week. The house itself is everything advertised, and Alligator Point, is a great getaway for folks interested in a vacation spent at home and on the beach. The teenagers loved the surf fishing, catching multiple species both big and small. While the beach isn't the soft white sand you think of in Florida, the water was pretty clear most of the week especially in the mornings. As for the house, we enjoyed smoking a brisket and ribs on the Traeger along with homemade pizzas that turned out great on the outdoor oven. The stairs were tough for my parents who are in their 80's, and the sand flies and mosquitoes can be a nuisance if the ocean breeze dies off - bring bug spray! Keith and Jeanne are exceptionally helpful and keep the house well stocked on basic amenities such as coffee, trash bags and toilet paper. If you're looking for a secluded getaway this house has all the tools for a relaxing week with the family - kayaks, ping pong, pop a shot, fishing, swimming etc...

Wonderful

This property was wonderful. We have stayed at many places and none of them were like this. They had everything you could need and then some. They take really great care of their property and the privacy is none other. Neighbors are friendly. They are quick to respond and keep in contact to make sure you are taken care of. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back again.

Amazing family getaway

Property was perfect for our family vacation. Home had everything you could need and then some. There is nothing bad I can say about this property. Beach is amazing.I have never seen dolphins swimming up an down the shore line like they did there.

Family retreat

Couldn’t have been better!

We had a great time! The property is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. Our hosts had everything and more to use in the kitchen- pots, pans, dinnerware, crockpot, blender, etc. The downstairs patio and tiki bar were great for socializing. There is a great little icemaker downstairs outside that was wonderful to have. We had access to kayaks, paddle boards, beach chairs and tons of beach towels. We were able to relax and enjoy the beach and the water. The upper decks were so nice and cozy with seating for everyone! The indoor/outdoor gas fireplace was fantastic for cool nights and staying warm on the outer deck. We would definitely recommend and stay here again! The hosts were very welcoming and communicative. Great place for a getaway without crowds and stress!

Peaceful, splendid stay under the tall Pine trees of “old Florida” beaches.

Picking a spot where our family could gather for relaxation, celebration, and reconnecting conversation was important for our selection…. We found it and more at Sand Point South! An amazing week of family fun; we found it all. Room for large family dinners, board games and outdoor space. The peaceful foggy walks on the beach to the lovely sunrise to the east while the full moon set to the west (both over the water!); adding the porpoise schooling the bait inches off the shore….slice of heaven- we feel blessed!

Fantastic!

Everything you need is right there! Kayak with the dolphins, enjoy the beach and surf, fish for tarpon, make pizza in the outdoor pizza oven, smoke a brisket... its all there for you! We had some clear nights and were able to walk the beach and see the Milky Way while watching the Ghost Crabs of in and out of their holes. The house has plenty of room for our family with wonderful screened in porches to enjoy the outdoors. We watched epic family movies on the big screen in the playroom after dark or played games at the huge diningroom table. Lots of fun.

Beautiful house and beach

Large, spacious home with lots of outdoor deck space facing the Gulf. The house was well-equipped with plenty of space for our group. The beach was nearly empty and very private. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway, this is the perfect place!

Amazing place to stay!

My family had a reunion at this amazing house. It was beautifully taken care of with a semi private beach. The house was perfect! And you can tell the owners care about the property. The check in an out was painless and I can say I would love to return in the future.

Wonderful Escape

We had an amazing time at this property. It was equipped with anything and everything we could have needed. We enjoyed cooking inside the home and outside on all the different grills available. The beach was wonderful. The owner was very responsive and helpful. I would certainly return to this vacation home!!

Perfect, private beach getaway.

Beautiful view from every area in the house. Very well stocked with supplies and amenities for everything you could possibly want to do. Plenty of space for multiple families. Perfect location near the end of the peninsula. Small walk, right off of the screened in porch, to the beach. From the simplest sand toys for kids to best smoker and beverage cooler for the adults. Even a wood fired pizza oven, which was awesome. Far enough from commercialization for relaxation but close enough to grab some excellent seafood dinner. The host was very responsive and polite and obviously wants their renters to enjoy there stay.

Sand Point South Adventure

Alligator Point is one of my favorite places in Florida, so beautiful and not overrun. The water and beach were great, we watched dolphins and pelicans, swam and kayaked, and went for walks at night to watch the crabs and critters. This house is amazing, so comfortable and well appointed with everything we might need or want to relax, play, and eat! The owners have put together a binder with all sorts of useful information about the house and the area. Super dog-friendly as well! Would go back in a heartbeat!
