Enjoy the nice themed well maintained cozy cottage,

we have 3 Bedroom, 1 full Bath and one 1/2 Bath, 2 story home designed to comfortably accommodate up to 6 people.

A must have! This property has off street parking for 2-3 vehicles.
Relax or play in the spacious, fully fenced-in back yard, which includes a small deck, outdoor seating and BBQ grill.

For the chef, an open concept kitchen and dining area that is well stocked with Lobster pots, Popover pans, and a few Maine family recipes sure to inspire!

The home offers, air conditioners in each bedroom, a washer and dryer, 2 TV's, cable, phone, internet, CD player, games, books, fresh linens, beach towels, and more.

Unique private backyard on a quite side street Yet walking distance to any of your favorite activities and everything our town has to offer.

Great stay

This home is very clean and comfortable. A few minutes to walk to restaurants, grocery store, and shops. Kitchen is very well-stocked. Laura quickly responded when we had a question.

Perfect Bar Harbor Cottage

We LOVED staying at the Summer Salt Cottage in Bar Harbor, ME. It fit our needs perfectly. Short walk to food, shopping, and entertainment! It was very clean, and stocked with anything and everything anyone would need. The host, Laura, was great to work with!

Great place for a trip to Acadia National Park

Summer Salt Cottage was perfect for our stay. First, it was impeccably clean. We’re talking not a crumb in the toaster clean. Everything was well organized as well. The house itself is charming. The furniture is in keeping with the age of the house with vintage lamps and cute beaded board wainscoting. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The neighborhood is quiet, belying its proximity to the bustling commercial area. We walked to restaurants, shops, the Abbe Museum, and to some trails. Lastly, Laura was an excellent communicator with quick responses and easy directions. She had a binder in the kitchen with instructions too. I can highly recommend Summer Salt Cottage.

Amazing Stay

My husband, son, and I vacation every summer in Bar Harbor because we have family in the area. This is by far the most comfortable home we have stayed. The home is nicely updated. The beds are comfortable. The home has everything you would need to cook. It is a close walk to town and my 5 y/o loved being two doors down from the playground. Laura has done an amazing job and we hope to stay again next year!

Perfect!

What a wonderful home! This was the perfect location for exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We were in walking distance to restaurants and shops. The home was very clean, and Laura was a wonderful host! Thank you again, Laura, for a wonderful vacation!

Don't wait...rent this house NOW! :-)

This house was so cozy, clean, AND in a great location. That is a triple winner! We have rented a lot of places over the years and I had never seen a property get all 10 stars with so many ratings. Everyone was right! Loved our time in Bar Harbor and hiking Acadia. Great communication with the home owner too. Wouldn't hesitate rebooking next time we are in the area!

Great house in an ideal spot

Summer Salt Cottage is a comfortable house for a family of four. The location is ideal--an easy walk to downtown Bar Harbor and a super short drive to the best of Acadia. Laura is responsible and friendly. We would stay here again.

Lovely home and great in-town location

Enjoyed a stay here in December with our three kids. The location just steps away from a playground is awesome, and it is easy walking distance to everything in Bar Harbor. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals all week, and the house was very clean and comfy. Would definitely recommend to other travelers visiting MDI!

Summer Salt Cottage - loved it!

This was a beautifully appointed house with all of amenities anyone would need or want. It reminded me of the house I grew up in and it felt like home right away. We only cooked one night, but the kitchen had everything. The laundry was great and we packed less knowing it was available. The location was great and we walked to town for dinner and shopping many times. It is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay!

The home is even better than pictured in the listing. It is immaculately kept and cleanliness is far beyond many properties we have stayed in. Lovely touches throughout - very charming aesthetic - and is well equipped with everything you need. Also a super convenient walk to downtown - perfect to get out for a morning walk for local pastries and coffee. Laura was also incredibly accommodating and responsive. We would absolutely stay at her property again!

30th anniversary trip

Summer Salt Cottage is a perfect place to stay when visiting Bar Harbor. It’s clean, comfortable and the location is ideal for walking into the village or going into Acadia National Park. It’s our second time here and we will be back.

Loved it!

Our family of 6 loved our stay at the Summer Salt Cottage! The home is immaculately clean, well stocked for guests, cozy yet spacious, the perfect walk to town, and a close drive to Acadia. Laura provided everything we needed and more. This was also our first time to Bar Harbor and Acadia and we had such a wonderful experience, we hope to return in the future!!

Fantastic house in the heart of Bar Harbor

Great little house for a family getaway to MDI. Perfect location to walk into town but also convenient to the park road ,etc. Great size for a small-mid family. The house is immaculately clean and well stocked - Id say of 5-6 Bar Harbor VRBOs we have had over the years its probably the best stocked rental Ive seen - better stocked than the listing indicates in fact. Higly reccomended.
