Classic Bar Harbor cottage within walking distance to all in-town activities, featuring oak floors, small sun porch and private patio. 3 bedrooms, wrought iron beds, and full bath on second floor. Full kitchen, separate dining room, half bath, and living room on first floor. Outside offers a private flagstone patio with conversation set, dining set, and gas grill. Off-street parking in driveway for 2 vehicles included. Washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker. The Shore Path starts at the end of the next street and every Sunday the Farmer's Market, featuring local fruits/vegs, flowers is located at the other end of the street near the town YMCA. Prime location for a Bar Harbor vacation; walk to everything in town; shops, restaurants, library, town ball fields, and town pier. Check NPS.gov for Acadia National Park info, park passes, and the new 2021 parking registration for Cadillac Summit Road etc.

Rents on a weekly basis Saturday to Saturday; (4:00pm check-in and 10:00am check-out).

Excellent location with easy walk to the Shore Path and the Main St shops / restaurants. It's an easy drive to the park entrance too. The house was very clean, comfy and had everything we needed for a fun vacation! The lovely backyard was an extra bonus! We would stay there again.

We had such a wonderful stay!! The location is great - within walking distance of everything, but on a quieter end of town - also located by a shore path entrance which is super convenient because strolling the path is on of our favorite things to do. The house was nicely decorated, very clean & had everything you could need for your stay. Kitchen is well stocked as well. The highlight for me was BY FAR the backyard. Literally like entering your own secret garden. When I was at the house I was almost always out back enjoying the shady, beautiful yard. We had one rainy day, and thankfully there is a wonderful sun room indoors as well. Overall, our stay was perfect - will definitely be coming back to this property again!!

Great family stay on quiet street

We loved our stay at Oliver Cottage! The home had a great location for our family of 5 with 3 young children as it was close to the playground and within easy walking distance to everything in town. We especially loved the backyard. The beds were comfy, the kitchen is well appointed, and communication with the host was easy. We'd definitely book again.

Return trip did not disappoint!

Second year staying in this lovely house. All the amenities we needed so close to town but quiet. the NICEST back yard. Wish there was 1 more full bath otherwise perfect

Great stay for first trip to Acadia

Our family of four loved staying in this charming home. Everything we needed, with lots of thoughtful touches for travelers. We shopped at the farmers market Sunday and enjoyed breakfast in the backyard garden. Just a ten minute drive to the National Park, and everything else a short walk away. Dinner, shopping, and walks on the Shore Path are just steps away. At night we played board games. A perfect stay!

An absolutely beautiful and charming home. Spotless with all the necessary amenities. So close to town for easy access to the restaurants and happenings of downtown Bar Harbor. Comfortable furniture and bedding. Five stars across the board!

Beautiful Home & Outdoor Space

We enjoyed every minute of our stay whether we were sipping coffee on the quaint Maine, enclosed porch, relaxing with a glass of wine and conversation by the fire in the fantastic secret garden of a back yard or strolling to nearby restaurants and shops, Our host thought of all the touches to make us feel at home away from home!

Great house in town

Nicely remodeled house 1 block off main. Just out of the bustle of downtown. 12 minute walk to the harbor which is just perfect. Nicely equipped with dishes and pots and pans. Could include more basic spices, shampoo and coffee. I'd stay again

Adorable cottage! It's 100 years old and it has all the character of an older home but has been beautifully renovated. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was extremely well equipped which I really appreciated. We had everything we needed, including beach towels for our cold plunges at Sand Beach! It's very close to town, just a short walk to the town center and also a short drive into Acadia. Perfect location! And the backyard was absolutely amazing. Tons of seating and beautiful flowers and Japanese maple trees! Grill worked great! Front sun room was our favorite for coffee each morning! A couple of notes for future visitors...bring a sleeping mask! There are no black out shades and the sun comes up at 4:30am in the summer. Also be aware that there is no mini split in the twin bedroom so my girls had to sweat it out a couple of nights with just a small fan. Other than that I would highly recommend and wish we could have stayed longer. Bar Harbor is such a dreamy small town, we loved every minutes of our vacation.

Everything about our stay exceeded expectations. The house is ideally located at the edge of town making access to activities and restaurants an easy walk but outside of the center in a residential neighborhood so it's quiet and uncrowded. The house itself is ridiculously clean and well organized. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need while remaining uncluttered. The owner was extremely responsive, generous and kind. I can't say enough positive things about this home and it's owner. Superb!

Great house, great location.

Loved our week in Bar Harbor! This rental was beautiful and in a great location. It was an easy walk into the town of Bar Harbor. Plenty of dining options and shopping. A weekly farmers market takes place just down the street. The Shore path was a short walk from the house , with beautiful views and easy access into town. Acadia National Park Visitor Center and entry is a short drive away. The owner, Jacqueline, is very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks so much for your hospitality and thoughtfulness, Jacqueline!

Favorite Bar Harbor Home

We head up to Maine every year for summer vacation, and we often stay in Bar Harbor. This was our favorite stay by far. The property is in a fantastic location to enjoy all that Bar Harbor has to offer - two of the best restaurants in town right at the end of the street, many more in easy walking distance, shopping an easy walk, shore path right around the corner, perfect in every way. We had a small problem with the stove, and messaged the owner - she was instantly responsive, and actually had a new stove delivered the next day. Never had that kind of responsiveness from a vacation home owner before! Our experience was 5 stars all around.

Beautiful House, Perfect Location!

Our family of five had an amazing stay! The house is so clean and cozy. We are a family of five including three teenage boys. The location is perfect. On a quiet street at the end of town. Super easy to walk into town or along the shore path. Very close to Acadia entrances. Drive your car or catch the shuttle at the town green. We happened to have a perfect weather week. Blue skies and calm seas. It was a great family vacation in Bar Harbor. Would definitely stay in this wonderful house again. Thank you Jaqueline!

Perfect

We have been coming to MDI for years and this is one of the best properties we’ve found. We had 2 adults and 4 teens ranging from 13-19. The neighborhood is perfect. We walked along the shore path every morning, and took the LLBean shuttle everywhere within the park. We got a weeklong membership at the Y and our teens went over to work out and play basketball. The house itself was just great. It is the epitome of a quaint New England home with all the modern conveniences. The backyard was a beautiful oasis. We would definitely stay again.

This was the perfect house for our family of five! We especially loved relaxing on the enclosed front porch in the evenings. The house was lovely and the hosts were kind and helpful! The location was perfect - close to the YMCA (daily passes available) and the park where the kids played pickup games of soccer. The house was in a quiet area with only a short walk to shops, restaurants, and the harbor.

Wonderful experience

This was our 10th trip to Bar Harbor and first renting a house through VRBO. It could not have gone smoother. Jacqueline was very available including unlocking our door very quickly after we all thought someone else had the key! It was nice to be able to cook in the fully functional kitchen and mix up eating out with eating “at home.” Being able to walk to everything was a huge bonus. I highly recommend Oliver Cottage!

Beautiful home, great location

We loved our stay at Oliver Cottage. The house is charming and comfortable and had plenty of room for our party of six adults. We enjoyed sipping our coffee on the front porch in the morning and playing games under the lights in the back yard in the evening. The location is AMAZING. We walked every day into town for dinner and shopping and were so grateful to not have to worry about traffic or parking. The proximity to the Shore Path and to Acadia is great. We wouldn't hesitate to book this property again.

Location and comfort!

This house was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was on a quiet street but walkable to restaurants, shopping, and the shore path. The yard is a relaxation paradise, the best I've seen!

Fantastic Week

Our group of three adults and two small children had a wonderful stay at Oliver Cottage. The house is charming and nicely decorated. It's far enough from the center of Bar Harbor to avoid the hustle & bustle but close enough to get there quickly when you're in the mood for that. We found a nice way to balance it was to take Main St. into town and then take the Shore Path home, which gave us beautiful scenery and a break from the crowds. It’s also a perfect home base to explore Acadia and the surrounding areas. I’ve been coming to Maine since I was little and it was great to introduce it to my children, and especially to have such a cozy place to come home to at the end of the day, when we were exhausted and windblown from trekking all over the park. Jacqueline, the host, was extremely responsive to questions and requests, and helped us have a fantastic week. I would definitely recommend Oliver Cottage to anyone heading to Acadia.

This cottage is the kind of place we would want to rent, if we were visiting Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The convenience of being able to walk downtown to restaurants and shops makes it an easy place to enjoy.

The Shore Path is just around the corner and the Sunday Farmers' Market is on the end of the next street. The entrance to Acadia National Park's 'Loop Road', including Sand Beach and Compass Harbor is a direct route (south) from Main Street, close to where the cottage is located.
