The bathroom inside the cottage features a sink and toilet. The shower is located in the basement that you can get to by going outside and down under the deck. Another shower is outside. Also, the interior wall between the two bedrooms is open at the top, so this may provide less privacy than you would prefer.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Simple accommodation, peaceful location.

Retro Cape Cod

Secluded with no frills. The kind of place that was the norm in my childhood . Nearly on the bay. Loved it.

Perfect Location

This was my fault, I didn't realize shower was in basement. Also I knew furniture was the furniture from the photos but I never realized that I really want decent living room furniture & beds. But it was clean & I brought my own pillows & blankets. I did love the charm & choosen vintage items in cottage on the walls. Curtains could go tho. Also needed either an upstairs broom+attached dustpan pan or little vacuum since we got to enjoy the lovely beach for walks! We had an endearing time in the Cape. Thank you again.

Simple, Peaceful & Close to beach

Great deck, simple furnishings. A/C has a remote & works well. Deck is very nice & peaceful place to hang out. When you get there the key boxes are under the deck/not intuitively near the door. Lower key box does not open so we had one set of keys the entire time. (we didn't care but can be inconvenient). Kitchen has no basics, like oil, spices etc. Just something to note. There is NO pantry designated. Lots of glass ware, cups, & plates, frying pans, stovetop stuff but no cooking sheets (just pyrex type of bakeware). Beach is steps away, just follow the "Memory Lane" sign. Cabin is rustic, very simple & met our needs. Appreciated the overall peacefulness of the place. Note that there is a rude fellow who lives nearby. He accosted us on the beach when we had dared just slowed down our walk near the grasses. He told us we were on private propery 3 x (there are no sign & it is on the bayside steps from the steps we went down). We were very polite and just tried to get away from him but he continued to lecture us about endangered grasses there which we had not been in in the first place & condescendingly told us not to bother the seagulls, which we wouldn't have thought to bother in the first place. Watch out for this condescending lout. Luckily this was the only downer in an otherwise lovely stay.

Perfect Old Fashioned Cape Retreat

What a cool spot! A classic simple cape home. We nicknamed it the "beach shack". The outdoor shower was the best and the kitchen is great for cooking. A stones throw from a wonderful beach walk (especially at low tide) and the deck is elevated and feels like you're in a treehouse! I've already recommended to friends.

Quintessential Cape Cod

Very rustic but extremely accommodating. Updated well stocked kitchen (except no lobster crackers), AC, fans, outside shower, comfy beds, blankets, it’s an old Cape cottage with no insulation so mid afternoon it was unbelievably hot but you are 50 steps from the beach, so go! A beautiful deck with shade to sit out at. Close to everything upper Cape. (Do not have to pay for parking pass). We absolutely positively loved it.

Cozy and wonderful !

This is a unique and wonderful cabin getaway, with the sky and tree tops as your companions and the beach just a short walk across the road. We call it the tree house, because the deck is private and high up in the tree tops. A great place to relax, unwind, and feel uplifted by all the Cape has to offer !!

Very nice

Was just perfect but there was no inside shower (explained in listing). Necesary to go outside to shower in unheated basement or use outside shower. Fine in warm weather but in September can be cool in the morning. Cozy, close to water, perfect for two people.

Perfect 4th of July weekend

We had a great time at this location. It was clean and charming and had all the things we needed. The location was great and we enjoyed the beach across the way in the evenings at sunset. We only used the outdoor shower and it was so fun for the kids. The only issue was that the driveway area had a good amount of ticks so we had to be diligent about tick checks all the time and found them when loading and unloading our car.

Unbelievably amazing experience!!!

The cottage was not only incredibly charming but it was also impeccable. I found the design of the interior to be very welcoming and spacious. Having the ocean only a few steps away was truly magical. This hidden gem will definitely be on my list of absolute FAVORITES!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Beware of the 1 and 1/2 bath situation

This rental was very close to the water, it was rustic which is what I wanted, it was clean on the inside except for cluttered dishes, cups etc. dirty burner plates on the electric stove(baked on grease that smoked when heating something) and the rusted teakettle. The owner describes a 1 and 1/2 bath, look at the pictures closely, in the bathroom there is a sink and a toilet, there is no shower or tub behind the door. There is a shower stall in the dank, smelly basement that you access from the outside of the house after you unlock the padlock on the door(under the porch you see in the picture) There is an outdoor shower but the area leading up to it had overgrown grass and brush. It was very close to the bay, the sunsets were beautiful but for the price we ultimately paid, a hotel in the area would have been better for us.
