Nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Orton, just a short drive from Fort Macleod, Prairie Rose Cottage offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. This cozy retreat invites you to relax and recharge with thoughtfully curated amenities, including a private hot tub under Alberta’s big sky, a fully equipped kitchen for home-cooked meals, and a welcoming living space to unwind after a day of exploring. The cabin is on our acreage about 100ft from the main house. You will have access to your own private patio and deck and have a dedicated parking spot on our large driveway. There are bikes available if you wish to bike our quiet country roads.

We live in the quiet hamlet of Orton, minutes away from Fort Macleod on paved roads. Our acreage is spacious with sweeping views of the prairies all the way to the Rocky Mountains in the distance. Enjoy walking and biking the quiet country roads or relaxing on the front porch, listening to birds and crickets and maybe catching a glimpse of a unique wildlife visitor or a gorgeous prairie sunset.

This was the most perfect stay at the most cozy cottage. Everything was a 10/10, the fresh eggs, hottub, little fireplace heater, it was exactly what we needed. We can't wait to come back!

Everything was amazing. Lots of thoughtful extras for items someone might commonly forget like spices and cream/sugar, etc. Was a perfect out of the way place to decompress.

Lovely Prairie Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Prairie Rose Cottage. Everything you need in one cozy little package, with so many special touches to make it feel a little more luxurious. Very peaceful setting, and within a fairly short drive to many of southern Alberta's tourist hot spots.

Our stay at this cabin was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, we felt instantly relaxed and at home. The cabin is very cozy with so many thoughtful touches! Everything was spotless, well stocked, and exactly as described (if not better) The hot tub, patio and fire pit area was perfect and just what we were looking for.

This cabin was very cozy and extremely clean. The hosts are very thoughtful in leaving a few complimentary snacks and souvenirs. A lot of love goes into providing an excellent customer experience. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing in the evening. A bit too windy to enjoy the fire pit area or the bicycles during my stay but still lovely

The property is beauty as you can see from the photos . It was very quiet and the hot tub area is very private. Communication with the owners was great.You are close to Fort Macleod if you require anything and we did do some shopping in town.We highly recommend this place.

Country getaway

We stayed here for two nights and it was amazing! The cabin was well appointed and had more than enough items to be comfortable. It was cozy and we thoroughly enjoyed the quiet and being able to have an evening hot tub and enjoy the night sky. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice quiet getaway and we intend to visit again in the near future. Thank you for your hospitality!

Great tiny home

Cozy, comfortable, and featuring every possible amenity that could fit in a small space. This quiet cottage is perfect if you want to get away from the chaos of the city and enjoy great nights of sleep, a hot tub, or just binge watch your favorite show. I wish I had more than a weekend to spend there. Would definitely go back.

Thought of everything!

This is such an adorable property! The cottage has everything you could need as well as a hottub and firepit. Owner are kind enough to supply coffee and snacks as well...even a few fesh eggs! Such a well thought out set up. Peaceful, quiet and well-cared for. We loved it!

Ideal property!

We happily give a 5 on everything and wish everyone could experience this perfect tiny house with all the big boxes checked (comfort, easy in/out, great hosts) and SO many extra surprises, like fresh eggs and milk, snacks, drinks and the most beautiful property. The hosts have such thoughtfulness for details! The hot tub was so relaxing, private and much needed after a long day’s drive. This place is a gem and we would have loved to stay longer at this carefully designed and decorated inside and out, feels-like-home cottage!

John has spent many years as a carpenter and renovator and Jacquelien loves decorating and home decor. The cabin was a fun project of designing, building and decorating together to provide a comfortable guesthouse for our parents who live in BC and come to visit several times a year. We recently decided to receive other guests to our cabin. and look forward to meeting many new people. We also enjoy yard work and gardening.
