The Rose Garden Room located in our Historic Hyde House Bed & Breakfast offers maximum comfortability when visiting the beautiful Hocking Hills State Parks and nearby attractions. Conveniently located 20 minutes away from Ohio University and 5 minutes away from Hocking College, allowing you to visit your student whenever you please. The Rose Garden Room is a cozy second floor bedroom with a Queen-sized bed and Twin-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom.

Wake up to the delicious smell of a home cooked breakfast. Spend the day exploring and experiencing all Hocking Hills and Wayne National Forest. Visit some of our favorite local restaurants to wine and dine. Come back to enjoy a relaxing night where you can unwind and soothe tired muscles in the warm Jacuzzi. The estate comes with a lovely dining area where homemade breakfast is served each morning, a sitting room, and a parlor room. There is an elegant spiral staircase that is in the heart of the home. Wake up to the delicious smell of a home cooked breakfast. Spend the day exploring and experiencing all Hocking Hills and Wayne National Forest. Head to our favorite local restaurant, Rhapsody Restaurant, to wine and dine. Come back to enjoy a relaxing night where you can unwind and soothe tired muscles in the warm hot tub or spend the night soaking in the claw-foot bathtub. During the winter holidays, the Hyde House is decorated extravagantly with 5 foot tall nutcrackers, a beautiful custom built wooden sleigh for Santa & Christmas presents, and Christmas décor all throughout the inside of the home. The Hyde House Bed & Breakfast has been showcased during “Nelsonville’s Tour of Homes.”

The room was clean and the host was easy to communicate with. However, the door to get in was very hard to open, giving the impression that to door was still locked even after unlocking the doorknob. Also the bathroom shower was in need of some renovations.

My group and I had a wonderful stay here! The hot tub was so nice for after a day of hiking, and it was so easy to get to all the amazing parks nearby!

Fun weekend

Hocking Hills is such a great place to visit, and this BNB was just super. Breakfast was great, accommodations were just as advertised, and it was a super location in town.

A great place to stay if you are visiting Hocking Hills State Park-only 30 miles away. Loved our room and the hot tub was great after a long day of hiking.

Convenient location. Clean with a delicious breakfast. I loved the historic charm of the place. My only complaints are that the room was hot and the sheets were scratchy.

Wonderful overall experience. Unfortunate that we had to leave the house for breakfast during the week, but the food was delicious, and the staff friendly. Please check the accuracy of the hot tub temperature.

Girl’s Trip

My daughter, and sister stayed at the Hyde House for one night before heading to Hocking Hills to hike. The Bed and Breakfast was clean, and quiet. Unfortunately, we were not able to stay for breakfast, as we got an early start to Hocking Hills the next morning. The breakfast smelled delicious, and the staff was courteous.

We enjoyed the breakfast conversation with other guests. People seem to come to bed and breakfasts with the intent of meeting and talking to strangers. So refreshing and interesting!

Beautiful B&B

My first experience with a B&B. I will stay here again and again. Lovely Historical home. Well cared for. I felt safe and enjoyed walking everywhere. Mandy was rhe best host, so loving, kind, a great cook. So personable. I could go on and on.

Gateway to Hocking Hills Area

The property and owner were great, just as advertised. The location of the property was well suited to our purposes of exploring the area on a motorcycle. The property owner was also very helpful with helping us a figure out where to go in Athens to start the Windy 9 motorcycle routes. Would highly recommend this property, it was very quiet and a great place to relax after 200+ miles per day on a motorcycle.

Romantic and fun

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Rose room for a night and had an excellent stay! The check in location was easy to find and the process painless! We ate at a recommended restaurant and had a great meal. The room was clean and the house was stunning. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and the chef was so sweet! The house is working walking distance to Main Street and so charming and historic. Would stay here again!!

Nice get-away weekend

The property was nice! Other guest were easy to converse with. Small problem with lack of communication with management and where we picked up the keys. Otherwise, all was good!

Great time with my cousin!!

I believe this little gem can become a diamond. Certain things you expect from a home built in the 1800's. The exterior needs sprucing, but the original beauty of the interior is there under several coats of paint. The home is clean and the breakfast was amazing. Rooms are small and quaint with many old rugs making it cozy. We chose the Mexican restaurant for dinner and it did not disappoint. I would stay there again.
