Discover peace and privacy at Wildlife, a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home surrounded by trees on a sunny lot. Enjoy year-round outdoor adventures, from Sand Run Lake just a short walk away to miles of nearby trails and wildlife viewing.

Inside, the spacious living room with cathedral ceilings and a floor-to-ceiling rock fireplace flows into a fully equipped modern kitchen. Outside, gather around the fire pit, relax in the hot tub, or enjoy the children’s playground and sunny decks.

This was our second stay at this home. It's very comfortable for us. We give it 5 stars, however I would recommend the owner add more coffee cups and add wine glasses. We made due, but if we had other guests with us, we would have had a problem.

The privacy was spot on. Our granddaughter loved the swing set in the back yard. Plenty of toys and games for kids. We’ll be back.

We had a fantastic stay! The property was a wonderful fit for our family of three. It was exceptionally toddler-friendly, featuring a high chair, a private playground, art supplies that kept our little one entertained. We also really loved that the space had no interior stairs, making it very easy to navigate.The outdoor space was a major highlight - we loved being able to walk straight to nearby trails, and the hot tub and fire pit were wonderful in the evenings. Even in August, the weather was wonderfully cool and comfortable with very few mosquitoes.A few minor notes for future guests or the host:- There was some residual pet hair left behind, but given that it’s a pet-friendly rental, it was entirely manageable and to be expected.- The kitchen was mostly well-equipped, though it was missing a few handy baking and prep tools like a veggie peeler, rolling pin, and cheese grater.Overall, we had a relaxing, memorable stay and would gladly return!

The house was very clean, cozy, and very enjoyable! Great Vibe! Although we didnt personally have a direct view to the lake there was a lake just a few yards away with an amazing view!

Nice stay

Overall a nice private property and was happy to bring the pup. Beautiful scenery and relatively close to lots of waterfalls and lookout points. Hot tub and fire pit on property were nice as well

Lovely Dog-Friendly Cabin!

We so enjoyed our stay! Lovely cabin with a beautiful, private yard. So children and dog friendly! We loved the swing-set and the hot tub. We hope to return again.

Absolutely Perfect!

We enjoyed everything about our stay. The home was spacious for our family of 5 and the large yard was an added bonus. We were close to many restaurants and ski resorts. The neighborhood is very peaceful and there are many trails and lakes to hike too. The home was clean and the kitchen has everything you need to make dinners at home. We would definitely plan to stay here again!

Pictures do not do this home justice

This home exceeded our expectations. Beautiful property, private setting, clean, roomy, every amenity you could want (seriously, even a crockpot and sharp knives). A floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace that was the central gathering place. The half bath in the laundry room was a bonus. This home was great and we all loved it and our stay.

House in the woods

Our family of 6 adults enjoyed our stay in this comfortable home. There was enough room for all. We enjoyed the hot tub. Wildlife at the site included deer, groundhog, and various birds, including the Western Grosbeak, new to us. The lake was nearby, with an easy trail. Other hiking trails were not far. Wifi fine for emails; remote work one day required using own hot spot.

This would have been a fine place in the winter. We were downgraded from the original cabin to this cabin without air conditioning.

Lovely spot

We really enjoyed this house. It’s in a great woodsy setting in Timberline, totally private and quiet. Really nice wood burning fireplace. Kitchen very well stocked, except for glassware. Nice layout, very comfortable beds. Nice outdoor spaces, decks, and fire pit (though we did not use it). Immaculate hot tub. The property was very clean. But, it does show some age and wear. Carpets are faded, worn, and spotted, sofas look a little dingy, wallpaper peeling in places, etc. I see this as a sign that it has been well-used over many years. But, again, it was very clean, so we didn’t feel bothered by the wear and tear. But the decor does need to be freshened up. We didn’t get to use canoes/kayaks (too chilly/rainy) but they looked good, and we’d definitely come back to try that amenity.

Carpet is badly stained, wallpaper ripped off walls, ceilings stained, bed sheets don't fit, etc.

This place is in bad need of repair and updating. Place accepts dogs, but carpet is gross, even for dogs. Big bleach stains all over. Ceilings have water stains, queen bed hard as rock, furniture is old and stained, kitchen tile needs replacing, bed sheets don't fit and come off, no paddle boat, kayaks filthy, and Mirror Lake is a small pond not a LAKE. Bath towels had bleach stains all over them.

Hello April Thank you for your review. I wanted to follow up with your review to let you know that the house has had some major updates. The queen mattress and box spring have been replaced at wildlife, all the bath linens have been replaced and the living room furniture is being replaced as well. The house is under going construction to replace the counters in the kitchen as well as the flooring and in addition to many renovations happening over the next two months. Canaan Realty and it's owners have been taking every opportunity to get the houses up to date but it has been a challenge due to the properties being booked solid for weeks at a time which makes it difficult to get into them. As for Mirror Lake it is a free amenity for Canaan Realty guests. The lake is a 5 acre privately owned lake. Canaan Realty provides free use of Kayaks, SUP, canoes as well as a paddle boat which had gotten broken by a guest before your arrival. Mirror lake was extremely busy during covid and has taken every opportunity available to keep up with the equipment. As with most businesses these days staffing is also an issue. Great location

Perfect for us. Grass was about 3 feet high when we arrived on Saturday but management took care of it by Monday. We love this rental.
