Welcome to our 900 square foot cabin on 30 wooded acres with walking trails. Wildlife is abundant: you will most likely see deer, turkeys, rabbits, grouse and maybe even a bear. The cabin is perfect for year-round recreation as it is located directly on a snowmobile/ATV route and features a trailer-friendly circle drive with plenty of parking.

The Eau Claire Lakes with public boat launches are nearby. Includes an outdoor fire pit, charcoal grill, gas grill, large deck in the rear of the cabin with patio table and chairs and a nice covered porch in the front.

Our cabin features a master bedroom (queen size bed) and a loft (2 twin beds) which is great for children. Town of Barnes is 5 miles, Iron River is 18 miles, Cable is 19 miles and Hayward is 25 miles.

Relaxing and Quiet!

Beautiful cozy cabin retreat

What a charming and cozy home. Linda is a super hostess who thinks of everything. The cabin is warm, inviting, comfortable and roomy. We enjoyed every minute of our stay with them. Would definitely come back again and again.

Late Fall cabin rental

Our stay at The Cabin In The Woods was nothing short of idyllic. Nestled amidst towering pines, the cabin offered the perfect blend of comfort and seclusion. The interior was spotless, and the well-equipped kitchen made meal prep a breeze. We especially loved the cozy living room, perfect for winding down and relaxing. . The cabin's private wooded trails were a highlight, inviting us to explore the serene surroundings. We also ventured out to the nearby Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest for some invigorating hikes. A day trip to Lake Superior was a must, and the stunning shoreline was well worth the drive. For dining, the local steakhouse and tavern were both excellent choices. The friendly staff and delicious food made for a memorable meal. Overall, The Cabin In The Woods is a fantastic getaway for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility. We can't Wait wait to return!

Beautiful and peaceful

Wonderful little cabin in the woods. The host was amazing and the cabin was very clean. The only bummer was not being able to enjoy the trails with out accumulating deer ticks. We're talking hundreds... I would love to come back another time, we'll just have to leave the dogs at home.

Perfectly Peaceful

Cabin in the Woods is everything it needs to be…..a beautiful cabin…..in the woods. The location is perfect for a weekend getaway or a summer vacation. Whether you’re into hitting the trails on your sled or ATV, or just want to have a quiet retreat away from the city, this place is for you. Check out Barnes Trading Post and grab a Polish Pizza with xtra kraut or get a great breakfast at The Koffee Kup. The country fried steak is awesome! Linda was easy to get in touch with and very responsive. We will definitely go back next year.

Cute, clean cabin

Owners were very helpful and friendly. Cabin was so very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. A very nice Welcome basket was included to top it off!

Peaceful

This cozy cabin is a delight! All of the amenities of home nestled in the woods. Private trails on the property and great deck to observe wildlife. Dog-friendly too! The hosts were easy to reach and quick to assist. Highly recommend!

Absolute must!

Beautiful, cozy property with great trails to walk through the woods on the property. An hour or less away from great parks, landmarks, shopping, dining, and all the area lakes. It was a wonderful retreat for our family that we will certainly look at returning to. And Linda was a fabulous host.

Quiet and Peaceful

This is a beautiful, comfortable cabin. Nicely decorated and supplied with all the essentials you might need. Just bring your food and drink. Furniture very comfortable, and we really enjoyed the deck. We could block the stairs with the gate (provided) and have our little dog out there with us. We did see a few deer, but not any bears on this trip! A very nice cabin in a lovely setting.

Great Cabin

The property was awesome! I was so impressed with how well stocked the cabin was. Linda didn't miss anything. All we really needed to bring was our food and drinks. It's such a beautiful cabin nestled in the woods. Loved it. Would definitely recommend this place.

Very comfortable and just what I was looking for!

Great setting and even some added entertainment options in the board games available! Was great to blissfully disconnect, comfortable to stay in but also a good location for a hopping-off point for various activities in NW Wisconsin (Lake Superior and the like). Was almost difficult to leave and enjoy those other activities and establishments the area had to offer. :)

Everything about the property met or exceeded my expectations. The welcome basket (with snacks!), fully outfitted kitchen and coffee station, games, and even a couch potato quilt for afternoon naps. I'll be back!

Superb vacation spot

This is a great stay to get off the grid. Wonderful property with beautiful woods. Cabin was perfect for us. Close to local places, yet away from everything you want to be away from. Linda the host really makes you feel welcomed. Her attention to details were superb.

Quick getaway in the woods

Great November weekend in the woods. Secluded with lots of trails on the property and easy access to town. Highly recommended.
