Get away from the hustle of everyday life with a visit to this gorgeous updated retreat house nestled amidst 40 acres in the George Washington National Forest. With over a mile of Jackson River frontage in the exclusive Queens Grant Waters area, this property is a fisherman's paradise. Just a short 10 minute ride brings you to a multitude of river access ramps (for boats, canoes or kayaks) and the Jackson River Scenic Trail, additionally, you're only a 20 minute drive from beautiful Hot Springs, VA, home to The Homestead Resort.
With 3 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms and an additional sleeping area, this home can comfortably handle 8 occupants.
The home is a quiet and somewhat remote retreat, as such, the only cellular service that works is Verizon. We have just added high speed internet to the house with free WIFI for guests!

A true gem in the Alleghany Highlands. Tons of space both inside the house and out. Owners had great communication (but we had zero issues). Would definitely stay at again.

This was a great property for a friends get together. The home is large, well appointed, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed evening fires in the fireplace on the deck. The owner was helpful with answering our questions prior to arrival which helped us be prepared to enjoy our time in the area. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

The property was beautiful. We had no issues during our stay. Check-in was easy. The house was clean and had great space. We had 6 adults and a child and had plenty of room to hang out. We particularly loved the screened-in porch. The kitchen had everything we needed for making meals. Having private river access was wonderful. It was a great place for a relaxing weekend, and I would love to come back for an even longer stay.

Wonderful stay over Thanksgiving!

The house and property were wonderful! We stayed with a large group over the Thanksgiving holiday and everyone had a great time. Fishing by the river, s'mores by the fireplace, and relaxing by the indoor fire and shooting pool. Perfect way to spend a holiday weekend!

Very beautiful home with a breath taking view!!

Absolutely loved staying here, the river is absolutely gorgeous along with all the mountains around and the wildlife. Great place to get away and unwind.

Perfect family weekend

This house is our very favorite! The private riverside space offers guests the perfect visiting spot. The fire pit is great, and the screened porch with fireplace is great for quiet coffee in the morning or a glass of wine before dinner. We love this house so much!

Great spot on the Jackson!

Great place to stay with some really nice waterfront access on the Jackson. House was great and the screen porch with the outdoor fireplace was a real plus - evenings were just cool enough for us to use it. Some incredibly fishy looking water along the property but the fish there make you work for it!

Perfect hideaway

This home is even better than the pictures or description. Plenty of space and wonderful screened porch area for some great R & R while you listen to the birds and flowing river! Kitchen was well stocked and easy to maneuver around. Everyone enjoyed our stay and have decided next time our visit must be extended more than 3 nights!

A secret gem!

We loved the beauty that surrounds this home. There were so many options to enjoy the outdoors from fishing to tubing and kayaking to walking and biking along the Jackson Scenic Trail. The outdoor fireplace and screened porch made for lovely outdoor meals. We hope to return!

Fantastic property with fantastic views

Needing to get away for a weekend, I booked this property in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Responses from the owner were always timely and full of valuable information. Both the structure and the acreage are stunning and offer phenomenal views. We plan to rent this property again during the Summer months. A great find!

Family get away

The house and property were great, well maintained and well represented online. We stayed n February for a long weekend. Two families with four teen boys all got together and had plenty of room. Plenty to do at the house and on property. Had a nice evening outside by the fireplace. Highly recommend for families. Would love to see it in the summer as well.

Beautiful Property

This house was everything thing we were looking for! Beautiful mountains and rivers completely encircle this amazing property. Hanging out on the river bank by day and star gazing by night, you cannot go wrong! Fully stocked kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals. The basement entertainment center kept all of our kids happy for hours. We would love to come back again!

Exceeded my expectations!

What a marvelous house! My husband & 4 adult children stayed for long weekend so comfortably with 4 full baths & comfortable beds. The dual shower heads in the master bath was a treat 😊 Very clean & homey, with indoor gas fireplace & lots of throws & especially the screen porch with wood burning fireplace every evening listening to the river sounds - so lovely Enjoyed the Covington area a lot as well: hiking, biking & kayaking the Jackson river. Check out Alleghany Outdoors for rentals. Will definitely rent again!

Happy New Years!

We had an amazing time. We were really impressed with the property and home. The house setup was perfect. Well stocked. Comfortable beds. Our teenaged kids loved the game room downstairs and having their own space. The river along the property was absolutely beautiful. Enjoyed the fireplace with rocking chairs out by the deck. Perfect family getaway. I highly recommend and look forward to visiting again.

Beautiful home with rare river access!

We loved the location so close to the river and walking trail. House was very clean, large and comfortable. We didn’t realize the third bedroom was in the basement, which wasn’t ideal for our two little ones, but we were able to put one in the laundry room and one with us. Basement also smelled a bit damp/mildewy. But we’d love to return some day!

Voted Best Spot Ever by our Family

This spectacular home is located in the most prime location in the area!! When weren't on the lake or in the river, we were hiking and biking. We were the envy of everyone that passed by on the river at one of the best swimming/fishing holes just down from the house. We so fell in love with the area we will either stay here again or buy a 2nd home in the area (not easy to find river property for sale) Stay here and let all your cares melt away. We have stayed at many homes over the years on the Shenandoah River but our family all said that this is the Best Home and Location ever!! Thanks Jenna!!!!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

We stayed at Jenna's property for a weekend getaway with friends and fishing. The house was even better than the pictures, there was 7 of us and we had SO much space! The kitchen was fully stocked, the fireplace on the screened in porch was incredible on a rainy night, and the pool table kept everyone entertained. The house was also sparkling clean and very well kept. The property is gorgeous along the Jackson River with mountains views and plenty of outdoor space. Jenna was absolutely amazing to work with and had great communication with us. We could not have asked for a better trip and would love to visit this property again!
