Lovely apartment in a very central location. Lively outside but the apartment was very peaceful. Sylvie was a charming host, easy to contact and very helpful.

This was a beautiful, romantic apartment in the heart of Paris. Sylvie was extremely helpful and met us as we got out of the uber to show us the apartment. The apartment had everything you need for a week stay in Paris. It has a beautiful balcony to have your morning tea. It is close to all of the attractions you would want to see in Paris. I would highly recommend it.

Great place!

Great place in the hottest area of Paris, close to museums and attractions, just wander and get lost! More cafe's, and restaurants nearby than you could visit in a lifetime! Thank you for a great visit!

Excellent location, very very comfortable

Perfect place to be based for a week while attending a sporting event in Paris. Wonderful host with super helpful recommendations for nearby restaurants and activities. Plenty of space for four adults.

Spring Break Trip

Sylvie was a wonderful host. We very much enjoyed the time in the apartment. The location is very central and yet quiet given the high floor and excellent windows.

Cute apartment in great location

Stayed here with my husband and 3 children for 6 days. The apartment is fully stocked and comfortable. The location is amazing. Sylvie is a great host, very communicative and responsive.

Excellent Apartment

The apartment is lovely and well equipped, though a bit difficult in a heat wave. Sylvie is friendly and helpful, if firm in her policies. An excellent base of operations in Paris, though some of the foot traffic from Les Halles is less desirable.

Perfect Apartment!

Sylvie is a fabulous host! It was important to her that we were comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The apartment was perfect for my family. It was clean, spacious and had a full kitchen. Several metro stations nearby made is so easy to visit all parts of Paris. There are dozens of restaurants just steps away as well as markets and a mall. We will definitely stay here again!

Great Spot, Amazing Host

Sylvie was a wonderful host -- super friendly, super helpful, and she has a great house book with a ton of information. Because it's Paris, we didn't do a lot of cooking in the house, but the kitchen was well outfitted and the beds were comfortable. Thank you so much, Sylvie!!

I Fell in Love with Paris

What a perfect location & special host. Sylvie could not have been any more pleasant or helpful for all of our needs & questions about the apartment & Paris as a whole. I would stay here again anytime— it was the quintessential Parisian apartment one dreams of made all the more special by an exceptional host.

Such a lucky find

This apartment was everything we wanted: the absolute most perfect location, a completely charming old-world Parisian-style building, and the feeling of being in the home of a stylish intellectual -- with full bookshelves and lovely art. In addition, our host was right next door anytime we needed anything. Highly recommend.

Love this place

I love this place. It’s a gem in Paris. The owner is absolutely one of the loveliest women in Paris. The house is very comfortable and has everything you’ll need for a perfect Parisian vacation. The view out the terrace is phenomenal. It’s so charming that we didn’t want to leave. Everything is close by - the metro, grocery store, bank, night life. It’s just an awesome place to stay and I would definitely recommend this as a fantastic place to stay in Paris.

Sylvie is a wonderful host. From the very beginning she responded to our inquiries promptly. Check in and check out process was easy since she lives next door. We appreciate Sylvie’s help with organizing the taxi ride to the airport.

Location, Location, Location

We had a superb stay at Sylvie’s apartment right on the border of the Ist and 4th Arrondisements. So many fine restaurants and stores near the Metro hub Chatelet/Les Halles. Sylvie is a fine hostess who helped us on numerous occasions. The apartment was very comfortable and quiet, elevator reliable, and wi-fi excellent throughout our eight night stay. Everything fully met our expectations and then some!

The Heart of Paris

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. The location was terrific - close to Ile de la Cite, metro, trains, and all the cafes and restaurants in Les Halles. The apartment was wonderfully maintained, furnished and fully stocked with more than all of the essentials. Sylvie, our host, couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful with offers to call cabs and. recommend restaurants. We would look forward to staying here again!

Everything you need

Sylvie was the perfect host giving us a great introduction to the area with recommendations on food, entertainment and more. The apartment had everything and was large enough for our family with two teenagers to be comfortable. We had everything from coffee to spices and she even brought us fresh milk. The location right across from the Metro made it easy to get around. Five stars!

Fantastic location, great apartment!

Superbly equipped and decorated apartment (our daughter loved all the books). There was lots of light and fresh air even though Europe was experiencing a major heat wave. The front balcony doors needed to be closed at night to block out the noise but Sylvie provided fans which made sleeping comfortable. The size of the apartment was great for a family 4 with teenagers. Sylvie was a very attentive and responsive host. Would definitely recommend it and we would stay there again.

Everything you need in Paris

What a fabulous place to stay! With two adults and two teenagers we had more than enough room, but in this area you won't be in the room often. There is so much to do once you walk out the front door and transit is mere minutes away. We spent nine days in this wonderful part of Paris and Sylvie was an extraordinary host! She gave us tips when we arrived and helped with restaurant suggestions. She is absolutely wonderful full of helpful information. We absolutely loved the area, the beautiful accommodations and there was plenty of shopping to keep our teens happy when they got a little tired of all the wonderful bakeries and buildings to see! Without hesitation we would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.

Cosy apartment in the center of Paris

Our family had a wonderful time here and enjoyed walking to restaurants and nearby shops, and easy access to the subway and bus lines for trips to many tourist sites. The apartment had everything we needed, including a clothes washing and drying machine and a large selection of DVD movies for the kids, which allowed my wife and I to relax. Sylvie, the owner, made us feel at home and was very responsive and easy to talk to. It is a very short distance from restaurants, bakeries, shopping, the Louvre, Musée de l'Orangerie, the Eiffel tower, Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle, and the Arc de Triomphe. We also took day trips to the Palace of Versailles, Mont Saint-Michel, and Normandy. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend this location for your stay in Paris!

Great flat!

Well-located 1-BR flat (with an extra daybed AND a sofa that pulls out, both in the living room) with a lovely host who speaks great English. The flat has all the amenities you could want and is super clean and feels very safe. It's protected from start noise, which was wonderful. The down sides for us were a bit of noise from the upstairs neighbors (maybe kids running around / playing) - though it didn't keep us awake — and also a lack of good seating: the kitchen chairs / bench weren't comfortable, and the couch was so-so (but if you have someone sleeping in the living room, it’s hard to use anyway). For the price, we would have liked better furniture for recovery after a long day of walking :)

HI Kyre, thanks for your very nice commentary. I hope you returned safely in San Francisco. I do regret, though, that you never alluded to the fact that you didn't't like the seats in the dining room. It would have been extremely easy for me to change them. In fact, I just exchange the farm seats you didn't like around the table with other chairs ( British XIXth century chairs) that might be more comfortable, though I personally like the farm chairs better. Problem solved: I 'll leave both kind of chairs in the apartment so that guests can choose the chairs they like best! Yes , there are two small kids on the 6th floor above my head. They are an adorable family and I find it very difficult to ask 6 and 4 year old kids to keep quiet after they spent the whole day in school. They always go to bed around 9pm though. Stay all well...

Amazing Stay!

Our Paris visit was incredible! Many thanks to Sylvie for providing a beautiful, well equipped and centrally located apartment. It truly enhanced our stay. The apartment is beautifully decorated, has a large kitchen with everything you need and the location can’t be beat. We were able to do so much thanks to its location near the metro and taxi service (when needed). Sylvie assisted with restaurant reservations, local market information, and was very attentive to any needs that may arise (though we really didn’t have any due to her attention to detail upon check-in). The neighborhood is lively and everything you desire just footsteps away (shops, cafes, fine restaurants, jazz club, food market…the list goes on). There is street noise below but expected due to being in the heart of the city. The windows are amazing as they blocked out all the noise when closed. We slept well and enjoyed our home base. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Authentic Paris experience

A beautiful, quiet, well-equipped apartment in the heart of Paris. The many large windows flood the space with light. Outside every window a profusion of flowers grow. The long balcony looks out over the treetops of the boulevard below and across the rooftops. There is a thoughtful collection of books, with many volumes of art, architecture and history, as well as an extensive dvd collection. The library and decore show an artist’s touch, and Sylvie is indeed an artist, being a highly accomplished musician and voice teacher. Restaurants, boulangeries, gelateries, trains, and shopping are only steps away. The location is perfect for exploring Paris. Sylvie was a great host, easy to contact and quickly responsive to any questions or requests we had. This was our third time in Paris (our first time with three young kids) and we were very pleased with our experience here. Thank you, Sylvie!

If You Want Paris, Look No Further

I lived and worked in Paris. I honeymooned in Paris. I know Paris, and if you are looking for the perfect location, look no further. This apartment delivers the full Paris experience and is THE best VRBO location I've stayed at. What makes it the best? 1. Location - the flat is located in the heart of the city. At the footstep of Les Halles and the Centre Pompidou. The central metro is right there. Think about that when you're traveling with a family of four from the airport via the RER and metro. No problems! 2. Apartment size and quality - absolutely unheard of this close to the center of Paris. The flat comes with a full kitchen, dining room, 2 bedrooms, and bathroom on the fifth floor. Open the french doors/windows and look across the amazing Paris rooftops. It is truly amazing. Right outside the door is the pedestrian areas with hidden shops, restaurants, and cafes that provide a truly authentic experience. Our 19 and 16 year old daughters had their own beds, and the master bedroom was very large with 2 french doors and a balcony. The kitchen was fully furnished with an "American" sized refrigerator, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and oven. This was really helpful to us as our family has many food allergies. 3. Communications - Sylvie's personal attention to ensuring that all your needs are met. She takes great care in communications to be sure you are all set and goes out of her way to welcome you to the Parisian and French culture. With travel books, maps, and insights, she helped allay any anxiety or concerns. She authentically cares about her guests, helps acclimate and have a terrific experience. Insider tip: She can get you the royal treatment at the Pied au Cochon restaurant. 4. Privacy and quiet - the french doors close and totally eliminated all street noise. And we were there at the peak of the EuroCup and Fete De La Musique. Being in the heart of the city - not an easy challenge, but the rooms were quiet. This is my first choice destination for all my future stays in Paris. It's a jewel.
