Wonderful stay in a charming cottage. The property was exceptionally clean and toasty warm in the cold weather. The welcome cup cakes were most welcome!

Ebony Cottage is a unique place with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is set in beautiful grounds not far from Ludlow and Great Malvern. There is also an excellent restaurant just up the road (Sow). The Tenbury Wells walk outlined in all the books is now very over-grown with nettles. There is an aga cooker that looks fun to use (but the weather was too hot to use when we were there). The bedroom doesn't have curtains (because of the triangular windows) but an eye mask solves the early light.

Romantic get-away

Surpassed our expectations, the cottage is stunning and the surounding area is lovely, so much to do and see. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and intend to revisit when we get chance.

Beautiful and tranquil

Great walks with dogs near by. Peaceful with nice pubs for diner/sunday lunch. All very cosy.

Winter wonderland

Wonderful stay in the impeccably clean, characterful and cosy Ebony Cottage. Beautiful surroundings, very well-equipped cottage warmed by the Aga, and delicious cake on arrival. Thank you Ellie for your hospitality and a memorable stay. We'd love to return.

A lovely hideaway

Ebony Cottage is a delightful timber framed house. Ellie made us feel very welcome. The house is about a mile up a track from the road. Surrounded by sheep and lambs. Secure garden for the dog to run around.

Wow! Beautiful 'gingerbread house' in idyllic setting: tranquil and scenic. Wonderful place for a special occasion. Nice to look out of the window and see sheep happily grazing in the field behind the cottage. Good to be able to walk directly from the cottage into the fields. Wonderful views of the countryside all around.

Wonderful place to relax

Had a wonderful relaxing time in this beautiful cottage the craftsmanship is amazing, the location is so lovely and peaceful and the host Ellie and her daughter were welcoming and friendly, even had some cakes waiting for us, they didn’t last long :) Had nice walks around the grounds with our dog who loved it and tired himself out with all the sniffing ! Would definitely come back, it is a place you can just switch off from all of life’s stresses. Thank you for a lovely stay !!

A fairy cottage

A really fairy tale cottage in such a peaceful landscape of beauetiful fields away from everything. Eleanor is most helpful and very kind. The lovely little fairy cakes were such a lovely thought and so right for this delightful get away.

A rural gem

The cottage was warm and very inviting when we arrived. We were greeted by our hosts and everything was clean and well prepared. The Aga was warm and ready for cooking or just standing next to. We'll miss that the most. Quadruple aspect living space with a country view out of every window. The bedroom was super cute and lovely and warm at night. The stars were amazing! It really doesn't get much better than this.

Lovely views...

Location of the property was beautiful and our dogs loved it but there were a few things that let it down. The photos on the website dont reflect what it actually looks like on the outside. It shows a very open green space however the grass area in front of the property and to the side has a hedge all the way round. Wasn't a bad thing as it gave us an enclosed space for the dogs but think it should be shown on the images for clarity. Inside the property there are some upgrades needed: one of the sofas has sunken on one side so not very comfortable, the toilet seat was loose & moved when you sat on it, the shower head needs replacing as no matter what setting you put it on the water went wherever it wanted to go, and the Aga is not practical at all. It took 3 hours to warm it up enough to put a pizza in and even then it took 45 minutes to cook. It actually took longer to cool down than it did to warm up and in 22°c heat it made the inside of the property like a sauna! The dishwasher was also a bit of a hazard as it would tip forward whenever you loaded it on the top. The host was polite but i found it a little off putting that we were interrupted within 10 minutes of arrival to ensure we handed over cash for the 2nd dog (the original booking didnt give an option to put more than 1). She also decided to mow the lawn area in front of the property early one evening which made us feel a little uncomfortable and wasnt really necessary as could have been done after we'd left.

Idyllic stillness, comfort and countryside views - what a wonderful place to stay

This is a real hidden little gem away from everything. Feel lucky to have found it. Love the natural design of the cottage, the 360-degree views, the spaciousness, the rolling hills, the beautiful gardens and spots to relax, the peace, the Aga, the animals all around, the location... You can feel Eleanor has put love into it all. You take a big sigh and you feel your heartrate slow in this place... Thank you for such a lovely stay! Wish we would've stayed longer.

Perfect Remote Get Away

This home has a fairy tale like quality. We have never stayed anywhere quite like it. We were amazed at the design and craftsmanship of this place and the surroundings were most peaceful. Although we did not meet the owner she was most responsive to us and went above our expectations. We would love to return here!

Lovely cottage, fantastic views and cupcakes!

Charming place, lovely and warm with a log fire even in the winter. Great view over the hills. Owners chocolate Labrador payed a visit and would appreciate any spare socks you might have.

Wonderful Cottage

Stay at Ebony Cottage, lovely location in the countryside, incredibly quiet and peaceful / relaxing. The cottage is amazing with many great features, fully equipped like home from home. Ellie was very kind and welcoming even left cakes for us, nothing was too much trouble, would definitely love to stay there again.
