The village offers a grocery store, liquor store, restaurants, gas station, bank and butcher. All in all, the Country Stay is your home away from home, where you can remain hassle-free and enjoy a worriless staycation. Please Note : There is a rented basement apartment on this property, with separate back enterance .

Roomy and central

Was the perfect place for 6 of us (4 adults, 2 young kids) and central to the various areas we wanted to explore. The house was well supplied with all we needed and we enjoyed the farmhouse feel. Even the flooding in the areas around us and the limitations that brought didn’t spoil our vacation. Thank you, Janet, for giving us a “home away from home.”

Firstly, this house is clean, spacious, and well kept. The two bathrooms and the washer/dryer are big bonuses. It is in a very quiet location and very restful. The air conditioners were key, as it was pretty warm while we were there. The location is inland, and it was 5-7 deg F warmer than the coast. One thing we learned about Nova Scotia is that no two things you want to do are close to each other. But the New Ross location was central to all of the things we wanted to see, including Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, Carter’s Beach, and the Bay of Fundy tidal bore. Each one was roughly an hour away, give or take a few minutes, but this house was basically right in between all of them, which worked out nicely.Don’t know if we’ll be through Nova Scotia again, but if we are we’ll definitely stay here again.

Lovely House

This is a beautiful and very spacious house. Very clean with plenty of towels and all you'd need in a functional kitchen. Heat pump on the main floor and in 2 of the ipstairs bedrooms meant we could escape the heat on the hot July days. Would certainly recommend, especially for a good size group.

Home away from home

Great internet, loved the 3 heat pumps for cooling, although I didn’t get a room with one. There was everything we needed and we got to watch Milo the cat from next door take his owners for walks on the leash! LoL

Very lovely old home which was so well equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

Janet's home was very comfortable especially the bed! It was very clean and provided plenty of room for our group of seven. It was so nice to be able to bring of dog with us. The price was more than reasonable. Thank you Janet

Great for the price!

Out of the way quiet location. The owners were very diligent about getting back to us and tending to our concerns. Large space that accommodates 7/8 people very comfortably.

New Ross Nova Scotia

Excellent bedding and pillows. Great indoor space, very spacious. No BBQ or outdoor fire pit; however, the indoor environment is very peaceful, calm and appealing.

Beautiful spacious home

Everything was smooth and response time was very prompt when I was looking at the property for rental. Janet was helpful and very easy to deal with. The home was beautiful and spacious. I'd def recommend this home to my friends and family.

Beautiful country home

This is a beautiful country home in the middle of everything. Central to Halifax, Lunensburg, and Annapolis Valley. House is clean, comfortable and well stocked. We would definitely stay here again if we are in Nova Scotia.

Incredible experience

The house was beautiful and had everything we needed and anytime we needed something from Janet she was extremely responsive and helpful ! Will definitely be staying here again.
