Great place to stay, really relaxing, very peaceful and had everything we were looking for in a fishing holiday by the river.

Lovely property in a beautiful location on the river bank. Easy communication with the host…all in all it was a perfect holiday for us :-)

We had a lovely stay at Bank Cottage, with a weekend mix of fishing and exploring the local area. Everything from booking to our stay ran smoothly and efficiently. Our host was brilliant and it led to a very enjoyable experience.

Beautiful location for a relaxing short break

Enjoyed a short break with family, fantastic location right on the banks of the river. Lots to do within a short drive of the property. Would definitely recommend.

An absolutely perfect retreat for excellent fishing and also a really well situated property for travelling out to a host of different attractions. A peaceful location on the bank by the river... Truly a gem of a cottage.... Everyone in our group loved it! Plenty of space for everyone inside and out. The cottage was extremely well equipped with added extras. Really clean and welcoming on arrival and the communication from the host was great... we had no issues during our stay as everything was very straightforward.... we just didn't want to leave!!! Enjoyed every moment!!!

Perfect short break

We really enjoyed our stay and found the house perfect for us (2 families, 7 people in total) to celebrate the new year.Well equipped and rooms all clean. Excellent communication with the owner and really appreciated the early check in and late check out.Lovely location

Lovely waterside location

We had a brilliant stay at the cottage. It had everything we needed and more, the location was amazing and we really enjoyed our stay. Our host Alison communicated well with us and the delicious cake let for our arrival was really welcoming. We would definitely recommend.

Visited with friends to fish. Caught lots of fish, including barbell, chub, bream and Zander. Location was peaceful and views were lovely.Alison was very responsive to any queries.

Great 3 night fishing trip

The property is as described in the listing - very well equipped and super comfortable. Alison's communication was great and she was very helpful in general - the cake was a lovely touch! Would definitely recommend and will stay again

Great for fishing

Bank Cottage is ideal for a relaxing holiday. I spent all week fishing very successfully and the wife was more than happy to relax in the comfortable cottage and peaceful surroundings. A perfect week for both of us.

Lovely place

We had a great week here in Sept/Oct. Really nice to have the extra lounge - we used the front one in the day and switched to the cosy lounge with the log burner in the evening. Despite the dodgy weather we spent time sitting outside as soon as the sun came out. Lovely to watch the various little birds fitting about on the feeders. Would certainly stay again.

Most enjoyable stay in a great location

This is a lovely location, looking right over the river. It would have been much nicer if the weather was better when we were there! The communication from the owner was very good, and they were kind enough to leave a cake. A couple of slight glitches - a slow leak to the toilet, and the blind in the triple bedroom was broken and so we had to hook it up, but all most enjoyable. We'd come again.

Short Birthday Break

The location of the property is amazing, right on the bank of the River Severn which meant the television was never turned on. This historic house is spacious, there was seven of us staying, a great layout and very comfy. Our host Alison provided great communication, made sure we had arrived OK and that all was well upon our arrival. The house was clean and homely with a lovely surprise of a cake and milk in the fridge. If you're looking for a peaceful break in a stunning location then we would highly recommend it.

Fabulous cottage

Location, wow - beautiful vistas, lovely gardens, lovely cottage. Inside is also very nice indeed, well appointed and comfortable - only negative there was that there was a bit of a paraffin smell near the boiler, not sure if there had been a spillage. Otherwise great and extremely convenient for the RHS show. We cooked, we BBQd, we ate on the deck, we watch the wildlife. Alpaca farm is a short walk and was a lovely little trip for brekkie and animal watching. We will be back! Thanks Alison :)

Lovely spot on the river

Bank Cottage was a great spot for our family to stay the weekend. We loved the spot on the river and the garden was safe for our little ones. We didn’t have to worry about anyone falling in the Severn! The cooking and dining facilities were fine and we enjoyed the sitting area overlooking the patio. The sitting room at the back of the property was rather dark and we didn’t use it but I can imagine it being a cosy space in winter. As mentioned by a previous guest there was a smell of oil/fuel of some sort which worried me slightly but no one suffered any ill effects. We would happily return to enjoy this beautiful spot again.

Hi Jackie Glad you enjoyed your stay. The winter lounge is definitely the place to be in the winter with the log burner lit. It’s also cool in the summer. The. boiler is regularly maintained - occasionally there is an odour depending on outside elements like the wind. We are constantly keeping and eye on this and trying to improve it. Apologies if it affected your stay. The plumber is booked for next week to come again and I will your comment to him. Hope we can host you again. .

Bank Cottage Heaven

This stay has been long awaited and did not disappoint. The setting is idyllic ( I love the River Severn). Well over 50 kingfisher sightings plus cormorants, herons, buzzards, swans etc. No fish for us this time, but it's called fishing, not catching! Alison could not have been more thoughtful and even left a cake for my birthday.

A very relaxing break

Upon arrival at the property we were blown away by the location and the view. Within 5-10 minutes of being sat outside we saw kingfishers flying upstream ( this became a regular occurrence throughout our stay). As the weather was very hot while we were there the fishing was very slow through the day but if you make the effort and get up early you will be rewarded with much better fishing. We caught Bream, pike, perch, roach, bleak and chub. Would definitely return at a later date and highly recommend.

Lovely place could find no faults fishing was quiet at times but still caught small chub perch & bream can not wait til next year where we have booked 2 weeks 🙂🙂🙂🙂

Peaceful few days

Great cottage for a relaxing few days away. Loved watching the nature and paddle boarding in the river. Hosts were extremely helpful. Just beautiful 😍

This is a marvellous, well equipped property, right on the river with a pleasant walking route (not long) along the riverbank to the North. It is a short drive to Great Malvern and the Malvern Hills and there is a good choice of nearby options to eat out. The cottage is warm and very comfortable - and I recommend it if you're looking for pleasant, relaxing accommodation close to the Malverns.

Beautiful location

We had a lovely short break with friends at Bank Cottage. On arriving we were worried about being cold as the place was freezing but once we got the central heating on and lit the wood burner the place was very warm and comfortable. The welcome cake was a lovely bonus. Enjoyed watching the birds and walking.
