Great Place To Stay In Princeville
Clean, spacious, and nicely appointed 1-bedroom apartment that can easily accommodate a family of four with younger children sleeping in the pullout couch in the living room. A full kitchen with ample space and dishes mean you can cook either in the apartment or at the grills at the gorgeous pool just below the unit. One night we went to the local fish market and got some moonfish and ahi and grilled it up ourselves, and it was every bit as delicious as the restaurants. There are two pools on the ground that are pretty amazing - and subsequently used nearly all of the time. No air conditioning, but ample fans provide for plenty of air flow through the unit. The bed in the master bedroom is hotel quality and very comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised that the place is better in person than in the pictures online. Location is great: you're just a 3-minute drive from the Princeville Shopping Center (a couple of good restaurants and a grocery store), a 10-minute drive into Hanalei, and a short walk to where the North Shore shuttle takes you to the Kalalau Trailhead and Ke'e Beach (though you'll want to book those well in advance online). Also nearby Queen's Bath (it's a hike so bring shoes), and a very short drive/or long walk to have drinks at Happy Talk Lounge (great for sunset drinks and pupus). We would definitely stay here again when visiting the north shorte of Kauai.
