Erik’s Retreat is a nonprofit organization that offers upscale guest accommodations run by young adults with autism. They are concierges. Chefs. Tour guides. All for whom meaningful careers are scarce.

You're part of the solution.

When you stay with us, you’ll be centrally located with wonderful amenities, all while providing living quarters, social opportunities, and significant work for our members. This is charming and spacious with one queen bed, a walk-in closet, a desk, a sitting area, a Keurig, and an elegant European-style 3/4 bath. For each executive room, a single rollaway bed is available upon request. These can comfortably accommodate up to three guests.

Every room offers a Smart TV, Wi-Fi, and complimentary coffee and tea.

Check in was not great. We couldn't get a hold of the host for entry to the building and had to wait over an hour with no guarantee that we would even be able to stay. This did cause us to be delayed for the rest of our evening. Vrbo customer service was helpful and followed up to make sure we did get in okay. Other than that, the room was as expected. The building was quiet and cute.

Perfect retreat

I stayed with my sister and this was the perfect place! Close to so many things to do! Perfect room and accommodations, very comfortable bed! I've never been more please with a stay. I would love to visit again! My first time in minnesota, hopefully not my last (: thank you!

Beautiful Property

We had a very nice room and were pleased with our stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. Plus, I love your mission so much. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone coming to the Minneapolis area and will stay here again if I return someday.

We arrived just after 3, check in was easy. We appreciated that there was someone to greet us, show us to our room and explain parking. Comfortable bed, clean and quiet. Thank you!

Hidden Treasure

Very easy, no-contact check-in. Location was convenient drive to places of interest. Decor was old-fashioned Victorian and added a fun atmosphere. Room had plenty of towels and amenities and was very clean. Really enjoyed our one-night stay.

Secure location

This was a perfect location for needing a quiet place to lay our heads after shopping & sightseeing.The only reasons for not giving all 5 stars: No microwave in room to heat up leftovers & didn't realize there wasn't an extra roll of toilet paper until night before we checked out.

I love the concept of Eric's Retreat! The property manager was very helpful and was relatively quick to respond. The only issue I had was the smell of our room. It smelled like overripe oranges and was cloying. I also found a reddish brown tadpole bug in the bathroom. When I alerted the management about it, they said they would be on the look out as they cleaned the room. The bed was very comfortable. This was very close to many places we wanted to go to in this area.

Technical Difficulties...But Great Customer Service

We arrived at Erik's Retreat the evening of our stay and were disappointed to discover that there was not a room available for us, because the reservation did not transfer through from Vrbo to the property, despite the fact that the booking had gone through and I had already paid in full. We were put in contact with the manager (I believe his name was Peter), who apologized for the inconvenience and booked us a room himself at a nearby hotel of comparable value. I can't speak for the quality of Erik's Retreat itself, as we didn't actually stay there, but I do appreciate Peter's willingness to find us a solution, even though the issue was clearly technological and not their fault. 4/5 stars is because it took 10-15 minutes to locate an employee to speak to about checking in when we arrived.

Stay at Erik’s Retreat

My husband and I stayed here for his birthday. We went to a comedy show in Minneapolis. Loved the location as it was close to everything we needed to get to. Room was clean and very sophisticated and I loved the upscale shower. Felt like a 5 star hotel!!

Great location

The property has a great location. The bed was wonderful. Unfortunately due to Covid there was no room service, or breakfast muffin. Also we have done extensive traveling and found the coffe maker in the room challenging.
