Cascading Waters sits overlooking the ELLIJAY RIVER, just 90 steps down to some of the most beautiful rapids on the river. Sliding Rock Cabins' full log, single level, ADULT ONLY cabin is exquisitely decorated and offers all the creature comforts you would expect for a getaway in the mountains. Enjoy a picnic by the river, tube to your cabin, take a nice leisurely soak in the hot tub or just rock the day away on the porch overlooking the water. You'll be sure to see why it's called Cascading Waters. Dog Friendly (2 DOG MAX) with no pet fees.

This Sliding Rock Cabin is an ADULT ONLY cabin (no guests under age 25). PLEASE NOTE CANCELLATION POLICY BELOW.

Access: Access to this cabin is via gravel, mountain roads. 4 wheel drive is not required, confidence in mountain driving is recommended.

CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING/NO SHOW/EARLY DEPARTURE: Each cabin is privately owned and cancellations affect owners significantly. Cancellations, rescheduling, or changes must be submitted in writing and confirmed received by Sliding Rock Cabins® more than thirty-one (31) days prior to the original check-in date in order to receive refund, less a Sixty Five Dollar ($65) cancellation fee. Said changes regardless of reason made within thirty-one (31) days of your original check-in date will result in a forfeiture of all moneys paid. All moneys paid are non-transferable to another rescheduled date. Refunds will be given if Agent can re-book said dates with another guest limited to the extent of rebooking. Agents are not responsible for Guests inability to arrive or if Guests chooses to depart early for any reason, or if members of Guests party do not show up. Great Visit

Was wonderful stay. Everything was top notch. Only concern I had was parking my truck so close to the road. But had a fantastic time!

Amazing Getaway!!

The hubby and I needed a few days away from the craziness of life. The cabin was just like advertised. All the small special touches were greatly appreciated. Our fur baby had a blast too! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Perfect Mountain Get-A-Way

The views were wonderful and being near the water was great. We loved hearing the river and walking down the steps to them. The cabin was quaint, comfy and clean.

Cozy Cabin in the Woods

The back porch was a lovely place to sit with a cup of hot tea and breakfast, listening to the rushing water below. The furniture was comfortable, the cabin was very clean, and had everything we needed.

The 90 steps down to the river is worth it for the amazing view of the water. There is a 10min drive up a gravel only road so be prepared.

Great views, cozy cabin

We were a little surprised at how "cozy" this cabin was, the pictures make it seem a little bigger but, the view, the hot tub, the sound of the cascading water made up for that instantly. Super clean, washer and dryer with detergent pods, dishwasher, microwave, even coffee and filers. Incredibly pet friendly (we did not have our dogs this time but we sure will next time) with a little fenced area for safe potty time, a dog bed, bowls and treats provided! Great little getaway close to Blue Ridge and even closer to downtown Ellijay. We hit a pop up farmer's market. If you're going out to eat make sure you go to The Rooftop restaurant. A relaxing stay.

We had everything we needed and more! The steps down to the river were challenging, but well worth the effort. The sound of rushing water was soothing, especially at night. Again, very convenient for pets!

We were provided a code to enter the cabin. We had no problems and would recommend this property for your stay. We arrived after dark and could hear the water rushing over the rocks. When we woke up, the view was amazing.

Wonderful experience.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin is beautiful and probably has one of the best views of any I found. The small "rapids" in the river just below the cabin provide a tranquil sound that is so relaxing. Relaxing in the hot tub at night with an unimpeded view of the starry sky was worth the trip itself. The drive up the mountain is a tad tricky but we made it in our sedan without issue and the directions were very detailed. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I recommend this cabin without hesitation.

Reviewer Comments: Hi the cabin was lovely however we had to go out to get toilet paper and coffee filters we left the coffee filters we bought but you should probably leave some extra toilet paper for the next guest as that is not what you expect you have to bring. Otherwise the trip was great the cabin was clean and we actually saw a bear on the road less then 20ft from the cabin when we were walking up the hill. Good thing he/she was nice and walked away down the hill when we made a lot of noise. Made for a lot of good stories! Will be back again when we need another cabin for our family to spread out since ours isn't big enough to fit everyone!

Our power went out the first night because of rain and cold but the fireplace kept us nice and toasty. Also information included in the house binder gave us plenty of info to deal with the situation. Definitely a very pet friendly rental. Loved that they provided pet sheets to cover furniture, but being an avid pet vacationer I had already brought my own. For being a pet friendly cabin everything was super clean! Wonderful stay!!!!

They were supposed to be a hammock by the water side but it was not there. Outdoor patio furniture was dirty and moldy and not some thing I would want to sit on

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I come to Blue Ridge/Ellijay every year for our anniversary. He looks forward to fishing for trout (which there were none of in this river) and the cooler weather. The cabin is very small. If you plan on having more than 2 people you’re going to be crowded. It is cute and cozy but small. Theres lots of big furniture that takes up a lot of room. If you prefer the higher elevation with 1000 steps to the river then this location is perfect for you 😂 It was definitely not one of the cleanest cabins (very dusty) we’ve been in but it wasn’t bad enough that you wouldn’t want to stay. I would recommend this cabin as the little things like this never stop us from returning.

A Dog Lovers DREAM Vacation Destination

When I booked this trip for my best friend and I, I wasn't sure if I would be bringing my dog with me or not (my husband works for an airline, so I wasn't sure if he would be home and able to keep our dog). So, it was important to me to find a property (in the mountains, on a river) that was receptive to animals. This place did NOT disappoint. I did not take my dog, but the owners of this property had EVERYTHING one would need to make this place just as hospitable to dogs as humans, down to the dog treats, poop bags, a fenced in area for the dog to potty, etc. For a home that ACCEPTS animals, I couldn't locate as much as a dog hair in the entire place. It was SPOTLESSLY clean, and had all the amenities you need to enjoy a nice stay on the river. The space is relatively small in square footage, but PERFECT for a couple or small family. My best friend and I enjoyed cooking dinner in the fully stocked kitchen, sipping drinks in the hot tub, and our visits down the stairs to the riverside. The fireplace was a nice touch for the cold nights. I can't recommend this place enough, seriously. We will most DEFINITELY be returning soon. My only advice would be to keep in mind the parking is extremely limited. Large vehicles would be a tight fit due to the close proximity to the small, gravel road in front of the cabin. But, even though the cabin is extremely close to the gravel roadway, there was little to no traffice during our entire 4 day visit. The stairs leading down to the river can be slippery in the rain or sleet, so watch your footing, but the walk down was beautiful because the stairs meander through the trees, down the hillside. I truly give this place 5 FULL STARS!

Toilet paper would have been nice

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I rented this cabin for 3 days. One would expect at least 3 dishwasher pods for my stay. Not the case. I sent a message and was told I get one pod to get me started. STARTED!!! No where did I read that you are to bring you own pods AND toilet paper! YES! The one ply dollar store toilet paper that only made it through the first night WAS IT too. Not in all my years renting a fully equipped cabin have I EVER had to supply my own toilet paper or dish soap. If I wanted to rough it and wipe my rear with leaves I’d go camping. Imagine if you will driving up this mountain for 3 days in a beautiful fully equipped river side cabin on a mountain in the fall. During the most expensive time of year. You can’t rent this cabin for less than 3 days. You wake up to a beautiful morning with your family. Have a lovely breakfast. Then you go to use the toilet just to be caught with your pants around your ankles searching closets, cabinets and drawers to no avail. When I mentioned the lack of toilet paper I got ignored. If I didn’t have plans to leave that morning I’d give you a 1 star. Now they want a review. 🤔

We had a wonderful 5 days enjoying the Ellijay and Blue Ridge.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived at the cabin, it was exactly as described by the Sliding Rock website. Everything was clean and neat, the views were beautiful and the weather was perfect for hiking during the day and cooled off in the evening for a nightly campfire. This was our fourth time renting from Sliding Rock and we will return next year.

Mtn get away

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin was dark, dimly lit. Needed more lighting in living room and kitchenRiver sitting area was not good. Chairs were covered in tree sap. Had hopes of sitting by river and enjoying, but it was not a enjoyable area.Road was to cabin was terrible and needs gravel and grading. Not room for 2 cars to pass, especially when we met a 20 ton gravel truck. I have stayed at a few of your cabins, but this one we will not stay again. Please for others describe the road access.
