This cape house built in 2003 has 1650 square feet of an open floor plan with hardwood floors- great for entertaining with a 23' x12' kitchen. 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath home is NEWLY furnished with top of the line mattresses, and is decorated in a peaceful contemporary style. The yard is FENCED in for small children and pets with a deck & gas grill. It has 2 large master bedrooms 19' x 14' on the second floor with wall to wall carpeting. The 3rd bedroom is on the first floor across from bathroom with a washer & dryer. The house has wire-less internet access, DVD, VCR, stereo & digital cable with digital music choice. You will be staying 500 feet from the water. A private association beach is just 3 blocks away. This house is perfect for your kayaks, canoes, or even your boat since it is located on Seacoast Shores a deep water peninsula with a clear sailing to Nantucket Sound and the islands! The Public boat launch is a few streets away.

Our neighborhood: Our neighborhood is very quiet and we have over 30 'right of way' pathways down to the water . Great place to sit and read. It is a great area to bike or take walks. We have an association beach 4 blocks away FREE for guests located on protected Waquoit Bay (great for little kids). We also have 4 brand new 'adult comfort bikes' (5'3' - 6 feet tall) to bike around the neighborhood. The house is very relaxing with lots of flowers outside. We have fans & AC units in every room, but with the breezes off the water you most likely won't need them. (We are located on a peninsula.)

We have a fenced in back yard and a small beach at the end of our street for your dogs if they like to swim.

Location & beach.: The ocean beaches: South Cape Beach and Menauhant Beach are 10 minutes away.
It is a great area to kayak or canoe, so bring your boat if you have one.

The house is located off of Seacoast Shores in East Falmouth (1/2 way between Falmouth and Mashpee).
Close to many shops ( Mashpee Commons/ New Seabury ) and ferries to the islands Martha's Vineyard & Nantucket.

Lovely home and great location

The house was charming and clean. The back yard was great for the dog, although we only got to really enjoy it on the last day as it rained every day we were there. It was a nice quiet neighborhood and the beach was just a minutes walk from the house.

Fun in Falmouth

House had what we needed. Great to be able to walk out paddleboards down to the river. Used the house Kayaks also.

Great Cap Spot!

We stayed here over the July 4 week, it was perfect: a nice little beach for families within walking distance, wonderful pool (where my son had a blast with a new friend) all while still being close to the beaches Falmouth is famous for. The property is well kept and the fenced in yard was perfect for the dog and to allow us all quality time to enjoy the week. Wendy was great, responsive and made it easy for us to enjoy our time off. Would recommend to anyone looking to enjoy a true Cape-cation!

Listing was misleading.

Dirty, very dated. Many many bugs. We left early because of the relentless bugs. ( Mostly earwigs ants and spiders. But if you beetles that I hope were *just* beetles. Pictures were definitely taken long ago. When I reached out the owner apologized but acted like she had no idea. Upon doing some deeper digging in more reviews it doesn’t seem like a new issue. From now on, I will thoroughly research before I book a place.

We were not impressed with this run down home. It needs A LOT of TLC. It had an old musty smell and was far from clean. The microwave and toaster oven were filthy, with food stuck in them. When we went into the bedrooms, the sheets were folded on the foot of the beds. We had to make the beds. When we did, 2 of the sets of sheets were stained. It was discusting. The towels were in very bad shape, thin and none matched etc. The carpets were dirty and the chair in the downstairs bedroom was dirty. We were very disappointed in this house. This is very minor but there werent even 4 wine glasses. We did like to walk through the neighborhood to the small beach, but was further than the description led you to believe. The host was quick to respond to our concerns and even said shed order a new toaster oven, but that was just 1 thing we were disappointed in. The house needs a lot of attention. I could go on and on about the negatives but thats the gist of it all.

Pros and Cons

Cute house and good location. Plenty of space. However, i did not expect to clean up after someone else's pet...apparently they rented prior to us. Food was left in frige, and clothing left in drawers. I left what was not mine when checking out. I also did not expect to put their garbage out, water flowers or wash all the bedding and towels...i thought the people hired to clean, would have done this. I understand wiping counters down and sweeping up as well as making sure the garbage is in the bins outside or at the curb.. However doing the laundry made it hard to get out the door by 11 am. Upon arrival, there were 2 full garbage cans we had to make sure was picked up on a Tuesday, leaving us with overflowing garbage for 2 days. Additionally the yard was overgrown and not as pictured. The photos also lead me to believe the kayaks were on the beach. They were in the basement and we did not feel comfortable trying to move them out and never used them.

I didn't expect to have to make my own bed

Usually I begin with the positives of my location, however, I want to be clear up front if you are considering this property. We arrived at 1:00 a.m. The key was in the lockbox as described, however the porch light was burned out so it was difficult to access it in the dark. After finding the bedrooms, we discovered that although the comforters had been pulled up, all of the beds were unmade. There were sheets left out for us to make the beds ourselves, but one of the queen beds had been left twin sheets. We located more sheets after digging through some messy/disorganized closets. The next morning we discovered the reason--apparently people who rent this property are expected to get up early on the day of check out and wash, dry and fold all the bedding they used. An "extra hour" is given to complete this process. Since our flight was out of Boston the morning we checked out, we would have had to been up and doing laundry by 4:00 a.m. in order to complete the task. Additionally, we were expected to complete most of the cleaning tasks such as vacuuming the rooms, sweeping the floors, etc. I do not mind cleaning up after myself when I stay in a VRBO, and I generally try to leave the place better than I found it, but if I had to guess, I would say the hosts are pocketing the cleaning fee and requesting the guests do all the cleaning.That being said, if you are looking for a house in the cape for a family gathering, this layout and location are wonderful.

House was more "lived in" than we expected. It could use some upkeep & updates. Window AC units were old and barely kept up with temperature. Cleaning procedures & expectations upon check out were excessive even though a cleaning fee is in your regular terms & price. Be warned / aware that you are expected to wash, dry & fold all linens before leaving. In Owner instructions they estimates this would take 3 hrs. Plus run & EMPTY dishwasher before leaving. Or you will be charged an extra cleaning fee.

The only usable beach is a few blocks away. Very dog friendly with nice fenced back yard. Appreciate being able to book a Thursday to Thursday stay due to family wedding. House was disorganized and hard to find things. We ended up purchasing a can opener (and left it there for future guests) since we could find none there. Took 2 days to find the tea kettle. It is a bit much to charge a cleaning fee yet asking for unit to be left as we found it. To do all the laundry - sheets and towels, wash and dry, do the dishes and unload and put away is a lot trying to get out by 11am and we started at 7am. Have stayed other places on Cape with better household amenities.

Wonderful stay!

As others have mentioned it's not the most up-to-date house. But that being said it was immaculate very cozy the beds were comfortable the linens were comfortable there were plenty of towels. Location cannot be beat the clubhouse was awesome and a little beach was a lot of fun. We will definitely stay here again the owners were very responsive and we had a wonderful time

Very pleasant stay

House was comfortable and well cared for. Small things need fixing: the handle on the toaster oven, the closet doors in the downstairs bedroom, the handle on the dresser drawer in the second bedroom upstairs. Kitchen could use a few more wine glasses (we only found one), but these are small issues: all was fine. Neighborhood was nice for dog-walking. The only down is that it is a long drive on 28 to get to town, but that's nothing that can be changed!

Great location and very comfortable house

The landlords are great and very responsive The house is very comfortable and in a nice quiet neighborhood. You can walk to the neighborhood beach. It’s small but perfect for young children or if you just want to sit in the sun. The bigger beaches are a few miles away by car but easy to get to

Good location but disappointing stay

This was not a good value off season given the steep price tag, we expected a place that was was clean and taken care of. -carpets and floors were dirty -guests responsible for putting sheets on beds -blankets had dead spiders -propane for grill was empty -lightbulbs needed to be replaced -smoke detector battery needed to be replaced -front stairs covered in slippery wet leaves -would not stay here again and left a day early

Wonderful locale for beach and dog lovers

We spent two weeks here and had a very relaxing wonderful vacation. The house was in a quiet neighborhood with quick walk to inlet and beautiful views. Stocked with everything you could want... kayaks, bikes, cooking equipment, etc. Short drive to beaches. Fenced in yard for dog who happily spent afternoons under the back deck while we explored or went beaching. We didn't want to leave.

Great location, beautiful house

Location is everything, small beach is 5 min walk away, Bad Martha's Brewery is very close and it is pet friendly. Cape Cod winery is close by too.
