The fully restored villa accommodates up to 6 people in the old town of Saõ Martinho. The villa has a shaded terrace with BBQ, out of the wind, and provides an ideal spot for relaxation. A large, fully equipped kitchen allows for self-catering, and from the living room with access to the upper terrace you can overlook the bay. The master bedroom has a double bed and nice bathroom. The two guest rooms also have their own bathroom and double beds.

Great 5 night Getaway

Lovely accomodation with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Fantastic views from the upper terrace over the bay and town, Steep ascent from the bay as lift not working throughout August, so if you have mobility issues then check this out first.

Spacious with a great view.

Clean and had everything we needed. Everything was in walking distance. Our contact person was so helpful. Loved Sao Martinho!

The house and position perfect and what we expected. Unfortunately the week was disrupted due to building projects, one next door and one opposite. Builders starting work at 7.30am each morning and finishing between 5/6pm each evening Monday to Friday. It would have been nice to know that this would be the case we could then have decided if it would have been right for us. It was impossible to make use of the house outside and the BBQ space due to the noise and being directly overlooked by builders. Such a shame.

Very unfortunate co-incidence indeed. Early March, during our own visit in Sao Martinho, these works were still pauzed after the storm Kristin in January (other repair works have priority) with no indication of restart. The long working days as witnessed are due to the need to catch-up for lost time and was only temporary according to neighbours we have contacted. These disturbances are notoriously unpredictable but the works should not last long.

An excellent stay in an authentic house

We had a fabulous stay in Sao Martinho thanks to the hospitality af Charlotte. Very good communication and everything was very clean. The location short to beach and center but very quiet at night. The terraces were great especially the top one for a late night drink overlooking the village and the sea. Bakery, supermarket and laundry just around the corner. Many thanks for this beautiful stay. Robert and family

Very nice house

We are a couple and stay there 2 weeks at the end of April, very comfortable house, kitchen very well equipped. The weather was cool at this time of the year, but we had plenty of electric heather very efficient. Extremely quiet , night and day, we only hear the sound of the breaking waves on the beach. The bed in the master room was very comfortable. Note that to access the second room, you have to pass through the master bedroom that has no door (only a curtain) on this side, so this house would not be suitable for 2 couples unless you accept a high degree of promiscuity, but OK for a couple with young children. The access by car can be tricky, especially if you are a scary driver, it was not a problem for me but my wife would not wanted to drive up there. There is no assigned parking and had to park 30 m away on the street, and never experienced problems to park in 2 weeks, as there is practically no traffic on this street. We would for sure book again this house if we come back in this area

A wonderful place to stay

So many reasons that we WOULD come back to stay again... Attentive host and owner offer fabulous communication, both before and during holiday. The house is perfectly placed on a very quiet road (10 passers by and probably 4 cars per day) - yet just a few minutes walk down a very steep hill (or get the public elevator) to find yourself amongst the cafe's, restaurants, shops and beaches. Sao Martinho is a picture perfect bay - it couldn't get any better. The house is very spacious with two sun decks and a secluded front verandah where we spent much of our time enjoying a sea view. If this house were up for sale, we would want to buy it!!! The downsides - you really couldn't walk anywhere if you have mobility issues (steep roads and uneven cobbles) - so a car would be essential. Parking outside is impossible, however it is possible to park outside for a moment to load/unload shopping and cases. The description does not adequately describe the lay out. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all joined in a corridor - Bathroom, Bedroom, Bathroom, bedroom. There is no door on the second bathroom, which is intended to be used by the second bedroom. Further, there is no door between the second bathroom and the main bedroom, so if your guests get up in the night they see you in bed through a flimsy privacy curtain, and you will hear them on the loo!! This lack of privacy unfortunately meant that our daughter and husband were unable to stay as intended.

10 entspannte Tage

Schöner, eher ruhiger Ort. Schöne, eher rustikale, ruhige Unterkunft. Sehr angenehmer Empfang. Gerne wieder.

Heerlijke woning in een prachtige omgeving

Het huisje was heerlijk. Van alle gemakken voorzien, een mooie tuin waar we elke ochtend ontbeten en elke avond aten. Sao Martinho is een heel leuke badplaats, met een mooie baai. Daar hebben we meerdere dagen lekker kunnen zwemmen. We hebben hier ons 10-jarig huwelijk gevierd, en dat kwam volledig tot z’n recht.

Très beau séjour

Deux belles semaines passées dans la maison. Très jolie maison. Parfaitement située pour tout faire à pied (courses, plage, ballade, manger un glace ou boire un verre en terrasse) sur Sao Martinho même si rejoindre la maison en voiture nécessite une bonne maîtrise du volant 😉 Maison bien située pour visiter Nazaré, Péniche, Sintra, Lisbonne. Très bonne communication avec Charlotte et Koen durant le séjour (un message sur la route du retour pour prendre de nos nouvellles)

Emplacement idéal, maison de charme atypique

Heerlijk karakteristiek vakantiehuis in oude deel stad

Het karakteristieke van het huis zit hem in de indeling: een dakterras, veranda, 5 kamers én twee badkamers verbonden door gangen en trappetjes. De faciliteiten in het huis zijn prima en up-to-date. Een heerlijk huis om in te verblijven.
