The spacious living area boasts large windows that let in natural light and allow you to take in the breathtaking views. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious meals, and the outdoor deck is the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or evening cocktail. Fish, or kayak in the private lake just steps away from your front door, or take a short drive to explore nearby attractions. Whether you're looking for a peaceful escape or an outdoor adventure, this lake house is the perfect destination. Book now for an unforgettable experience at the lake! We allow One dog per stay under 30lbs with paid fee.
No parties, no events. Only those who are booked are allowed. We have a 30 pound animal limit and we only allow 1 dog that meets that criteria.

Our stay was wonderful. Everything and anything you could need is provided in this home. Host are quick to respond and there within minutes if anything is needed. It was a perfect relaxing weekend with my daughter on our paddle boards. We will be back!

The house was a feast for the eyes. Everywhere you looked there was something new to look at. Beautiful! The beds are very comfortable. Easy to get to and very close to the lake. Would definitely go back!

5 stars across the board. Only issue I noticed is that the lake shore is covered in broken cement slabs, which make it really tough to get the kayaks in and out of the water safely. But night-time catfishing from the dock was plentiful.

The place is very hospitable. It was our favorite part of our trip. Fishing and enjoying the paddle boat. The cottage is beautiful. It’s like staying in a magazine cover. Very comfortable!!

Our stay at Paradise Found in Illinois was absolutely wonderful! The home was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated with the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. The lake views were stunning, and we loved spending mornings on the deck with coffee and evenings relaxing by the water.The house had everything we needed, from a well-equipped kitchen to comfortable beds that made it truly feel like a home away from home. The large windows brought in so much natural light and made the peaceful setting even more enjoyable.The private lake access was such a special touch. The hosts clearly put so much thought and care into the property, and it made our stay incredibly easy and comfortable.If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful views and a cozy atmosphere, we highly recommend Paradise Found in Illinois. We would absolutely stay here again!

Lake Paradise

We had a good weekend staying at the place. We used the paddleboard and the dock, did some fishing andeven made a small fire in the fire pit.

Tom and Salisa Olmsted are real estate investors in Central Illinois. Salisa also works as an instructor and the division chair of the Humanities division at Lake Land College just south of Mattoon, Illinois. The Olmsted's love working on Victorian homes and have restored several over the years. Another property located in Decatur, Illinois is a Queen Anne, fully furnished with period decor and is available also through the portal. The Olmsted's call central Illinois their home.

We purchased this property so we could have a nice quiet place to get away from the grind of daily living. We stay several days a month depending on bookings. It's great to spend a weekend there relaxing with friends, maybe doing a little fishing or roasting hot dogs on the fire pit. Great little lake for unwinding.

it's a quiet place to unwind, do a little fishing, take out the peddle boat or kayak or just read a book. Just moments from Amish communities, wineries and Lake Shelbyville. The closest beach is at Lake Mattoon and is 6.2 miles from the cabin.
