The 4V Cabin offers privacy, easy access, pet friendly.

Perfect for those seeking a private setting with easy access to attractions in Cochise County. We are located within an easy drive for day trips to wildlife refuges, historic mining towns, national forests and state parks. Cochise County is a Hot Spot in the southwest where birders are treated to large congregations of birds and the opportunity to see many unique bird species and other wildlife.

For your convenience, The 4V guest cabin is fully equipped with cookware, utensils, large refrigerator, electric oven/range, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and outdoor gas grill. There is also a clothes washer and dryer. The private fenced yard offers space for dogs to play, and for you to relax and watch the wildlife.

People traveling with horses are welcome to stay. We are located within a reasonable commute for day trips for trail riding and/or hiking. The property is accessible and there's room to park your truck and trailer. Horse amenities include individual corrals, arena, dry-lot turnouts with shade. There is a horse fee added to the daily rental for the Guest Cabin. Must inquire prior to reserving if you plan to bring your horses.

Discounts are available for monthly (28 days or more) or weekly (7 days) rentals. The VRBO system will deduct from the daily rate and calculate for you the final discounted rate.

A few nearby attractions, that make a great day trip are the Historic Towns of Tombstone and Bisbee, Fort Bowie National Historic Site, Kartchner Caverns State Park, Cochise Stronghold (visible from the property), the nearby Amerind Foundation Museum, or the historic settlement of Fairbank.

Beautiful getaway

Quiet Getaway

Had a wedding in the area and it was a great break from the festivities. Peaceful and relaxing. Great for a couple looking to relax after a day out in nature. Hosts very welcoming.

Excellent stay

This is my second time staying at this property, and I love it each time. Caroline and Charlie are wonderful and the property is very relaxing. I love to cook, and the kitchen is fully stocked and a nice big outside grill for making a meal. My parents live 3 miles away and the hotels around them aren't very nice. I will come again and enjoy the peace and views.

Beautiful, comfortable and relaxing

This was by far, our favorite VRBO we have stayed in, and we'll definitely be back. Caroline and Charles are wonderful hosts and the house was well equipped with everything we needed. I love to cook when we travel, and this place had everything we needed to prepare a wonderful meal, including a nice and clean BBQ grill.

Perfect Place

This great little guest house was truly perfect! Quiet, beautifully peaceful, lots of backyard birds to watch and enjoy. The location was ideal for our day trips to all the southern Arizona hiking and historical sites, and quite a bonus to be able to arrive "home" at the end of the day and enjoy a quiet, private meal. Hosts were so kind and not intrusive in the least. We hope to stay here again!

Quiet Getaway

This was perfect! I wanted to escape the fireworks and spend a quiet weekend relaxing with my dogs. The owners were pleasant and the location was ideal. The guest house itself was clean and had all the amenities I needed, including an incredibly comfortable mattress!

Vacation

I had a wonderful time staying here. Caroline made me feel right at home. The place was horse themed and just beautiful. Beautiful area, peacefull and just what I needed. I enjoyed sitting out on the back porch watching the wild life come in and eat and drink. I will definitely recommend this home and will be back!

Good place to Relax

We didn’t make good use of the cottage; mostly spent days sightseeing & visiting relatives, Didn’t think I’d ever miss TV but found evenings to be long, Missed not having my horses for something to do! Cabin very clean; bed comfortable & loved the horse theme & pictures;,

Peaceful and relaxing

Perfect!

We had a wonderful time here. The house was spotless clean and I loved the decor. The backyard is large and fenced in, our dog Dewey loved it. We also counted twenty one different kinds of birds on the property. Lots of privacy but if you do need something Caroline and Charlie are right there for you, they are very helpful and so nice. We highly recommend this rental.

Arizona Road Trip

I really enjoyed property in Saint David. I liked that it had acreage to enjoy walking around and the dark night sky was beautiful. Love chatting with the owners and seeing the horses. The bungalow is so cute and perfect for my stay. I liked being able to watch the birds and quail from the kitchen window while cooking and washing dishes. Very lovely property. I would revisit next time I go to southern AZ. Love that I was close to wildlife refuges.

Love the Cabin

We love staying at the St. David Cabin. There are so many positives - the panoramic mountain view, sunsets, coffee on the private patio, watching the dogs play in the fenced yard, bird watching. It is quiet and in the country and yet convenient to restaurants and stores. We enjoyed eating at the Horseshoe Cafe - great soup, fish, and cinnamon rolls. The cabin is well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. We found the bed to be very comfortable. It is close to Tombstone and Bisbee. Thank you for sharing your property with us!

Pet Heaven

The property was easy to find and was very clean and comfortable! The owners showed us around the property and introduced us to their horses. We immediately felt “at home.” Our “city” dogs thoroughly enjoyed romping in the fenced yard. They were in heaven and hated to leave! Morning coffee on the patio was my favorite part!! My husband loved the night sky! Thanks for a most relaxing and enjoyable experience!

Beautiful secluded casita

I enjoyed my morning coffee on the back porch watching quail eat and the distant mountains. I was interested in rocks and was told I could explore their property for anything of interest. Easy access to small town for any basic needs:groceries gas ,etc. Attractions at Bisbee and Tombstone fairly close by. Bird sanctuary nearby in St David. Fenced backyard appreciated for my dog. Caroline and Charlie are friendly, available and helpful

Great place to stay!

There isn't a lot we can add to what other reviewers have said. There's a reason other travelers have given this property such high ratings, and it's because it's a great place to stay! We loved the birds, the views from the property, the convenience and comfort of the cottage, the service from Charlie and Carolyn, and everything else we can think of. In the week we stayed there, we visited Kartchner Caverns, Colossal Cave, Chirichaua Nat'l Monument, Saguaro Nat'l Park, and several other places. One unexpected delight was the bird sanctuary at Holy Trinity Monastery just down the road in St. David. Book a stay here and you will see why everyone raves about what a peaceful and relaxing place it is!

Cute House with Big Yard

This was a great little place that has all the amenities. You can see it was recently remodeled and everything is clean and in good shape. The yard is huge and completely fenced in with a nice shaded porch area. The hosts were very welcoming and I loved the stories of the old mining days of Arizona. I think the best aspect of this place is it's central location to explore all of southeast Arizona. If you like hiking and exploring there are many different wilderness areas within an hour drive. To me it's the quintessential wild west Arizona that you see in movies and read about in history books.

Casita in St David

The 4V property was perfect for us and our dog, Murphy, with a large fenced backyard. The setting was very enjoyable as it was outside of the populated area with views of the desert as well as horses in the pastures. It was very quiet with limited noise from the highway and almost no ambient lighting. The cabin was small with a single bedroom but plenty of space for two in the living area and a well stocked kitchen. We made two hiking trips in the San Pedro River National Conservation Area. The longer hike was in the southern end of the area almost to Tombstone while the shorter hike was along the river north of St David. The hiking trail is along the dry riverbed of the San Pedro River. We only met two couples and their dog along the trail. We ate at three restaurants in Benson--they provided a reasonable selection and were not expensive.
