Take in a beautiful view of Grandfather Mountain from this first floor condo at Sugar Top. Access the weight room, sauna, Jacuzzi, and pool all on the same floor. The master bedroom has a King bed while the second has a Queen bed. Enjoy cable in the living area next to the decorative fireplace. Experience nature, hiking, mountain biking and more on the mountain and surrounding areas. The Lobby offers Wi-Fi for all guests. Sugar Top has a shuttle system. Please be advised that the parking shuttle is run by SugarTop. Resort Real Estate and Rentals has no control over the shuttle system. However, we have not had any issues with this. Our SugarTop Condos are Non-smoking. Absolutely NO PETS. No Check-in's Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. All guests required to sign rental agreement upon booking.

Pretty good

The apartment itself was pretty amazing the amenities like the pool the sauna the hot tub very nice workout room very nice. However, listening did not tell us that we would have a check in process three different times and that we wouldn’t be able to drive our vehicle to the top to actually stay at the apartment you had to check in once in town at the rental property, check a second time your car drive up to only three spaces where everybody was sharing when they checked in unload your stuff drive right back down get a shuttle back up the tier to the hotel and then you had to go in the third time and check in at the front desk of the hotel The check-in process was about 3 1/2 hours and was not expected because it wasn’t in the listing.

Great place

Place was older with some accents, but had everything we needed and was perfect proximity to slopes. Only thing that was needed was another blanket on guest bed for colder nights and dish soap, pan spray. We were only there for 2 nights and didn’t want to have purchase our own just for short stay. Overall, would definitely return!

Last trip of the year to see some some snow

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Seriously needs an update

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My mother-in-law has a unit at Sugar Top. We love visiting the place. The views, personnel, and facilities are well maintained and nice. This unit was a major disappointment. It smelled like a nursing home. Old, you can’t get that smell out because it is just too old, yuck. I wouldn’t sit on the furniture because it was dirty. I couldn’t sleep in the main bedroom because it stunk and tons of bear eyes were watching me from their shelves. Creepy! Sugartop was built in the 80s and this unit needs serious remodeling, very disappointing.

Great location

The most inconvenient was the fact that we could not park next to the building except for loading and unloading. The parking lot was approximately 1/4 mile away with a shuttle going back and forth, not what I expect from my mountain vacation. The mattress in the master bedroom had no support, I did not sleep well for the entire period. The Dvd player did not work, and the water heater had very little capacity, not enough for two showers after doing the dishes.

Affordable, Great View but different

This place is a quirky but comfortable mountain stay with great views. It is an an odd mix of Beach Condo and Ski Lodge perched on a mountain top. Staff is sparse but friendly. You can not park near the condo and must shuttle in from distant parking which can be inconvenient. The description of an in room washer and dryer is incorrect. There are coin operated appliances down the hall. The entire place could use an update but everything in the room is clean even if dated. We enjoyed our stay because of the novel feel of the place and it was very affordable.
