50 Homestead Street B&B is a magical place with a secret garden and a lake in the heart of the city. Situated in leafy Benoni, our establishment is only 10 minutes away from O.R.Tambo Airport, but we exist in a world of our own, a beautiful and peaceful retreat from the noise and bustle of Gauteng.
We are situated in a security-controlled enclosed suburb, with off-street parking. Our house is extremely close to all major highways in and out of Gauteng.
The house is extremely large, spacious, airy and comfortable - there is a great deal of room to spread out and make yourselves comfortable, or entertain guests in privacy. There are also spacious work areas in the house for the business traveler.
50 Homestead is ideally suited both to the business person who seeks a comfortable, peaceful and convenient base while working in Gauteng, and to tourists who wish to take advantage of our closeness to the airport and the relaxation that Homestead offers before or after a flight.
The garden has a beautiful covered patio and a large, solar-heated pool. There is a thatched lapa at the bottom of the garden, close to the water. There is direct access to the lake and a private park at the bottom of the garden, where visitors can take a peaceful stroll or have a picnic on the banks of the lake in safe surroundings.
Breakfast is served outside on the patio during the summer months, to allow you to really enjoy the natural surroundings to the maximum.
50 Homestead Street has become a favourite place for family gatherings, as we have flexible check in and out times, and we allow our guests to invite visitors to join them in the house or garden.
We have a lounge opening onto the patio, and another private lounge for hosting business meetings, where required.
We are equipped with an inverter power system, which means that load-shedding will not interrupt your day or evening, allowing the business person to continue any work they may have to do.
We have several excellent local restaurants, and outstanding shopping at nearby shopping centres.
In addition, we offer an optional transportation service to and from the airport, making 50 Homestead an ideal choice in every aspect.
The owners live on the top floor of the house, so are always available to assist, but not intrusive.
This is not a self-catering facility, but meals other than breakfast are provided where necessary. These can be arranged with the owners on a daily basis.
