Beautiful Mountain Vacation Cabin, 30 Miles from east Boise, 10 to Idaho City

Enjoy this Comfortable Cabin in it's very private and peaceful Location. No longer a Hot Tub for use, Relax or sit around the Fire pit just like your own private Camping place. Go Trail Hiking in the Boise National Forest right out the Back door of the Cabin.
Whether you Come for a couple of days or a week or two You are sure to enjoy your stay. This place sits on the backside of the Mountain below Bogus Basin Ski Resort, There is No Road Access to Ski Resort during Winter time but there is rest of the year. It is the perfect place to get away and enjoy nature, whether its Just Relaxing, sitting by a Fire pit, Hiking, Riding Atv's or Bikes, Hunting, Fishing , Boating, Jet Skiing, Snowmobiling, Snow Shoeing, Cross Country Skiing, or any other outdoor fun. There is Wifi for those who need Ethernet service. Two Living rooms with T.v's and a Dvd player
This cabin is one of very few Mountain Rentals located in Nature but still close to Boise. It is Perfect for just Relaxing, Romantic Getaways, Family trips also great for Hunters, With Elk, Deer, Wild Turkey's and many more critters. This area of National Forest is only accessible to a very limed amount of people who own property attaching to the Forest Service boundary and you can hike for Miles without seeing another person or just ride your Atv or Bikes just up the gravel Road to Trail ride.
The Cabin has Granite counter tops, High ceiling, A Beautiful Balcony that overlooks the Living Room below. The custom knotty pine and log staircase really gives you a Cabin feeling.
It's sure to make you relax and enjoy your stay. The Master bedroom w/ queen bed and private bathroom is located on the top floor. The main floor has Living Room, Kitchen, Full Bathroom and a Bedroom with Queen bed and closet and front deck has two Tables/w Umbrella and chairs. The walkout basement has a bedroom with two sets of bunk beds, a laundry room, and living room with couch and chairs and T.v. and Stereo. The Fully furnished kitchen has a flat top Stove and Oven, Refrigerator, Convection Microwave, Coffee Maker, Slow Cooker, pots, pans, utensils are all there for your use. Clear Creek Lodge is only 1 mile down the road from Cabin with a Bar and Restaurant for your convenience. From Nov-March 4 wheel drive likely needed for Icy road.

The cabin is clean and has beautiful views. Its a bit hard to find if youre doing it in the dark, but that isnt a bad thing! It worked great for us and our dogs.

Quiet and Cozy Getaway

Off the beaten path, close to Idaho City and easy drive to Boise. Cabin was quiet and cozy with minimal people around us. Lots of wildlife in the area. The owner communicated well with us about the check-in process. Nicely stocked kitchen.

Though a bit of a challenge to find - this place was perfect for us to attend a wedding that also was in the same area,There is no cell phone service or gps so the directions given and written down were accurate and absolutely necessary. The beds were comfortable - A coffee maker is there - but one thing all guests coming should be alerted to is know is to bring their own coffee, sugar as the kitchen is pretty bare bones - and really no place near to get supplies ( that we could find) a store in Idaho City is a bit of a drive.

Beautiful cabin

The house was beautiful, loved the way it was set up and the location is absolutely gorgeous. Im a little annoyed that we got a phone call during our stay telling us that we werent allowed to use the fire pit, the one thing we were looking foward to since the hot tub is broken. It is what it is, but there should definitely be something added to the description letting potential vacationers know that "if it gets too hot outside" (its the end of may and not even that hot out) they wont allow you to use the fire pit. We went to celebrate my daughters birthday, her first one since we lost my husband last june, and we couldnt even roast marshmallows. But other than that the place was great.

Relaxing Stay

The cabin was in a picturesque setting and was very peaceful. It was clean and had plenty of towels and bedding. Although, you may want to pack a couple of throw blankets to use when sitting on the couch. I suggest bringing some basic kitchen necesseties (foil, spices) but there's enough in pots, pans and utensils to get by. We didn't utilize the lower level, but it seemed like a great place for kids (or loud adults) to hang out.

Excellent get away to relax

This was an excellent getaway spot...for us it was not too far where the kids were fidgety with the drive. We were seeking a quiet location w/ room for the kids to play and some fresh air and this suited perfect.

Mountain Gettaway

It is a beautiful little cabin up in the woods. Perfect for a weekend gettaway and has all the amenities of home. I would recommend it for couples or families.

Comfortable stay in beautiful forested area

I had a wonderful stay with family coming and going. The weather cooperated for the most part and the cabin was comfortable when it didn't. The location is well back in the forest, and I loved it. Just what I was looking for.

Cabin for Christmas!

We had our family Christmas at the cabin this year , it was great . A beautifull cabin , with all amenities we needed . Quiet and secluded , but close enough to neighbors to help if you get stuck in the snow ( our experrience) I would deffinetly recommend this cabin .

Perfect for our needs!

Very nice, quiet cabin in the woods. We needed a quiet escape from the valley noise and this fit our needs perfectly! Literally walked out the back door and into the Boise National Forest. We hope to be back again next year. Owner/manger were responsive and helpful.

Romantic Getaway

My husband and I decided to take a last minute trip to Boise and rented this wonderful cabin for a couple of nights. The cabin was impeccably clean and well supplied to accommodate our needs. The peaceful surroundings were serene and the privacy of the cabin perfect. The hot tub was clean and warm and ready to go when we arrived. The owner Rod was available for any questions we had and was even kind enough to give me a ride to my car in Boise. Thank you Rod for a perfect trip. I will definitely rent this cabin again in the future.

Needs attention

We arrived to overflowing garbage outside, hot tub cover torn in two. Kitchen lacks adequate basic utensils. Only bath towels. No hand towels or wash clothes. The upstairs mattress very old. The cushions on the deck swing were gross. The grill was not in working order and not clean. The cabin is really very nice but needs a little attention and a good cleaning

Great place for a short get away

This place is great for a for a SHORT get away in winter or summer. We went Dec 7-11. Need 4 wheel drive only be sun melts snow during the day & creates little ice ontop of road but isn't bad. It would have been nice for someone to turn the heat up before we arrived, but it warmed up quick. The hot tub is NOT usable during the winter, which seemed the best time to use and feel there should be a discount for those days but each rental is different. They do allow pets. It would have been nice for the previous renter to clean the poo away from the doors but that is not a requirement. Their tv channels are almost useless, just bring a few movies. There is also no bathroom downstairs where bunkbeds are, fyi. Summer no tv would be needed bc you could be outside from sun up til bedtime but winter we wanted a couple different activities besides games & puzzles (which once the sun went down doing a puzzle was hard due to the lighting over the dinning table :/) I mentioned "short" stay a couple times because our biggest complaint is the kitchen and bedrooms. The main level bedroom our friends stayed in. We ended up taking the bed apart, took the down feathered topper off & rotating the mattress because they got zero sleep the 1st night. That seemed to help. The rooms come w zero dressers or shelves for your clothes. If you plan to stay a while & like to "unpack" this is not an option, fyi. (There is room for one in each room, there just isnt one). The kitchen is not set up well at all. I understand not having top of the line w stuff incase stuff isnt cared for well, but we joked the whole time that they got stuff from the $1 store & what they did have was "just enough." The listing is for 8 people, well there are 6 bowls, 4, coffee cups, & some really random stuff like champagne glasses...better knives, better pans, more useful items & toss out useless items would be a good start. We didnt mind handwashing stuff because there wasnt a dishwasher, but you have to wash after each meal or you didn't have enough for the next meal (or even that one if your party was big enough.) The only space outside the fridge to store pantry stuff is a plastic shelf. If we had stayed more than the 4 days we would have had to be creative where to put it to keep our dogs out of it. Cute, quiet, lots of aera to explore around it, a town not too far away, free hot springs about 2 hours away. Do enjoy!

I only live a half mile from the rental and my Cabin Keeper lives on the same lane as Cabin so if you have any problems or questions we are close by.

It is located close to Boise, sits on the National Forest Service Boundary so nothing behind cabin but thousands of acres of nature,wildlife and trails to enjoy with a very limited amount of other people. It is a beautiful location and quiet relaxing setting perfect for a getaway place.
