Wedding getaway

We loved feeding the sheep. Breakfast at Rancho Seco was also a treat. Dennis made check in easy and the house is fully equipped

Country Feel

Plenty of room to visit and play games and fix meals. Nice and relaxing and served our group well.

A great stay at an amazing residence!

We found the home very clean, very well equipped and with beautiful handmade pieces of furniture. Dennis was so quick to respond to any communication that we sent to him. We highly recommend this home and will stay again ourselves if in that location.

April 2024 eclipse visit

The property owner, Dennis, was fantastic. Everything was handled in a thorough and professional and friendly manner. His handiwork with wood was evident throughout the house.

Quality VRBO

The property worked great for its intention. We were in Lometa for work and the property worked great housing myself and my crew. The house is clean but needs some maintenance which after talking to the owner sounds like it is already in the works. The communication with the property owner was terrific and I would stay at this property again.

Beautiful and Peaceful

We wanted to get out of the city for some quiet time and the “sawyer house” was the ticket. The sunrises shining through the pecan orchard were beautiful. We enjoyed watching hundreds of doves on the property eating the pecans. They would all take flight when we walked outside. The house was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Every room has a touch of the owner’s craftmanship. The powder room vanity was so cute. I want the recently remodeled main bathroom in my house. The selection of large black tile was bold, but the room is bright and the few wood items softens the look.

Nice...with a disappointment

The house was decent. A few quirky things (like that the plates provided didn't fit in the dishwasher provided, so we had to hand wash them). We had a very disappointed 9yo when the owner admitted that the sheep (which were listed on the property as an amenity basically) were no longer there. We had been calling this property "the one with the sheep" for months and had mentioned when booking that this was a major draw for us. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of space. Awkwardly small shower in mstr bedroom. Overall, except for the sheep disappointment, it was ...fine.

Hi Nancy - we finally found a contractor who did a complete remodel on the main bathroom. It came out great. Sorry about the sheep, when we are in a drought there is nothgin for them to eat

Don't judge a house by exterior!

Stunning hand made wood furniture in the home. Beautiful! The inside of the house very well cared for, beautifully appointed with antiques, hand crafted furniture. Lovely. Very nice owner. On a pecan orchard. Beautiful property.

Met expectations

Great home to rent. Went with friends for a golf tournament in Lampasas and its a short drive between the 2 cities. Home is clean and updated on inside with a relaxing feel. Really enjoyed the stay.

Family wedding

We were in Lometa for our oldest son’s wedding. We were a group of two grandparents, 3 adult children, and two teenage grandchildren. The house was exactly as advertised. We had tons of room, the property was clean. We enjoyed the sheep and pecan trees. The furniture was fantastic. I’d highly recommend the property for a group.

Country Home – Lometa, Texas

This is a spacious, relaxing, comfortable home. Very clean and had everything we needed. We stayed over Thanksgiving as this was a convenient location to visit family in both Lometa and Lampasas. The owner was accessible, friendly, and helpful. We enjoyed our stay will certainly book again in the future.

Great getaway

This property was very private and decorated with hand crafted furniture by the owner. I loved the live edge pecan furniture pieces in the house. Ideal house with larger groups. Great for any one wanting to experience Hill Country without the crowds. It was extra special to see a newly born lamb. There is a local winery within 10 miles and live music at Bend General Store. Dennis was great to work with.
