RELAX and ENJOY! This newly renovated home is a vacation and fisherman's paradise!
Enjoy one of the most spectacular waterfront views in Florida, directly on the St. Johns River, within the Ocala National Forest! Watch the sun rise from your dock. See owls, hummingbirds, deer and manatee in your own back yard. Pristine natural beauty abounds in all directions while you have every amenity in your own private home.

With 270 feet of waterfront, this three-bedroom two bath house is lovely, bright, clean, and ready for the perfect getaway experience. We’re right in the center of an untouched boating, fishing, & swimming paradise.

Just south of Astor, FL, we’re located 30 minutes from Ormond/Daytona Beaches, 60 minutes from Disney/Universal Studios or historic St. Augustine. The house is nicely furnished with a full kitchen and washer/dryer. There is a complete A/V system including satellite TV, DVR, High-speed Wi-fi and computer . You can sleep 6-8 people very comfortably.

This house was perfect for our trip to visit the springs in Ocala National Forest. It is centrally located to all of the springs. The house was clean and comfortable and had pret5much everything we needed. We really enjoyed sitting on the screened porch and watching the evening storms. Frank and Gina were great hosts and very responsive to messages.

Absolutely great getaway from home. Atmosphere is welcoming and the morning/ evening silence is complete bliss. Not too mention they keep this place very clean. To be respected. It’s a sanctuary.

Wonderful home and host! Communication speed, helpfulness, friendliness, and flexibility (early check-in, late checkout) was top notch. We were traveling with our 6 children and we felt at home the whole time of our stay. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Beautiful spot. Everything room is spacious. Everything you need is already on site. Very clean. Very nice home. 30 feet from the St. John's river. Private dock to tie up your boat & fish. Great owner communication. Love Love Love this place

It’s gorgeous, clean and peaceful.It’s the kind of place I would visit again and again.The house came with a full spice cabinet and all necessary kitchenware which made it super accommodating and feel more like a home. Nice touch.There’s only one toilet, which was fine for my partner and I. The description says it sleeps 8, which it comfortably would, but that seems like a lot of people for one potty.Besides that, the place is a gem. Right in the river. We loved it.

Loved this rental! The views.arw amazing! We visted so my brother and daughter could scuba dive in springs nearby! I spent my time in the backyard dock reading and enjoying the gorgeous views of the river. We will def be a returning renter.

Frank and Gina Walker live in DeLand, FL, which is about thirty minutes away. We met at Stetson University, had to move away for work for twenty years but returned to this beautiful area about ten years ago. We have four grown children.
We clean our rental home ourselves and try to ensure that every family enjoys their stay as much as we have enjoyed it with our own family!

Astor is precious, a secluded bit of untouched Florida, which is difficult to find these days! The air is fresh from the river. A few days in the sunshine can calm the spirit!

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

The River House is south of downtown, far from the noise of the bridge traffic. To the north and south, on the river, are small islands that create privacy and calm the boat traffic. The river in our area is wide, and a state refuge runs on the opposite bank, so the view offers natural Florida at its best!
