Tranquil Escanaba River front cottage, newly renovated, great fishing!

Fishing for a great place to stay? You’ll love this vacation cottage on the Big Escanaba River, in Cornell Michigan. Terrific trout fishing right out the front door. The trophies on the walls of the cottage were all caught nearby, and the owner will leave instructions on how you can catch your own fish of a lifetime. It’s all here, from huge spring steel-head to fall king, Atlantic and humpback salmon, to lake-run brown and brook trout. All that can be found here, plus mountain biking, hiking, or just plain relaxing.
This has been our favorite get-a-way from the hustle and bustle for several years, and what attracted us most to this property was the woods in every direction (no neighbors in sight) and a classic trout stream out front. Our days were filled with relaxing on the beautiful deck overlooking the famous Escanaba river, and lulled by the tranquil evening sounds of the river.
The Cottage is newly renovated and equipped with modern appliances, all new bedding, and linens. Just beyond the kitchen is a spacious eating area where you can relax, unwind, enjoy a meal and create your best memories. After dinner retreat to the living room where you will find comfortable couches, chairs and hand picked stone fireplace. The Big Trout Cottage offers a master bedroom downstairs that sleeps 2, and a finished loft bedroom upstairs that sleeps 5. The cottage is conveniently equipped with Dish Cable TV, WiFi, and a land line.
