A stunning villa in Mediterranean style on the waterfront of Fontane Bianche, a summer resort 15 km south from Syracuse.
Villa Mare Arabico boasts a unique location directly on the shore so much so that when you plunge into the sea it feels as you are diving straight into your own private salt-water pool. A platform installed on the rocks is ideal for sunbathing.

Ideal for couples and friends, Villa Mare Arabico can comfortably host up to 6 people. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and a spacious living room with high roof and big windows that beautifully frame the sea.
A private lush garden and a huge panoramic terrace are the perfect settings for relaxing moments and pleasant outdoor eating.

The Villa was absolutely perfect! Clean, stocked beyond measure with anything we could have asked for! The water was clean and easy to get to. Water shoes are a must! Cant wait to go back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The villa is stunning, with breathtaking views and a beautiful garden. We especially loved the private access to the sea—it made the experience truly special. The house is well-equipped with everything you could need, and there are multiple lovely spots to enjoy meals both inside and out. It’s easily one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. Vincenza was an exceptional host—warm, welcoming, and incredibly kind.

Incredible villa with great access to the sea. Lots of wonderful spaces for meals, reading, and relaxing. Perfect location, about 20 minutes from Siracusa, and hour or so drives to Baroque cities of Modica, Ragusa, and Noto. We are planning on staying here again. Met all expectations!

This is probably one of the most beautiful houses south of Siracusa – located on the rocks facing the ocean and with a private little “harbor”, perfect for swimming. The interior, the décor of the house is beautiful put together with local design, the terrasse in front of the house brings everything together – it is your outdoor living room ???? This house is perfect for 6 people and as a base for exploring the region. If we ever come back to this part of Sicily, we would love staying here again

Villa was perfect for 2 couples. Enrico was restored his grandparents’ property with love and excellence. He was a great host, explaining everything to us, providing welcome basket, giving a quick tour of local area, being available to answer questions. The villa was a great base for exploring Mt Etna, wine tasting, Taormina.

This place is great: directly on the sea, so you can walk from the property straight onto the rocks. The interior is comfortable and stylish – not just a white box used as a rental. The owners were super helpful, for example in booking covid tests for us. Fontane Bianche doesn't have much going on other than the sea, but there are good restaurants/interesting towns etc within a half hour drive

Superb Villa Near Siracusa

One of the best vacation rental experiences we have ever had. The Cuoco sisters were excellent hosts and the house is both beautiful and very well equipped. It was incredibly clean upon arrival and the view and proximity to the sea were exceptional. Fantastic swimming and snorkeling. The villa is amazingly relaxing with the sights of Siracusa and Ortigia Island a very short drive away. We will gladly return and hope to do so regularly. Very much recommended.

The house is simply MARVELOUS: the terrace, the view to the sea, the garden, the flowers, the early birds singing, then the spacious rooms, the wonderful and authentic decorations all over the house, the great paintings... We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Did I mention the glorious sunrise over the sea? Our host Vincenza and her sister made sure we feel welcome - and on top of that, plenty of fresh and delicious compliments were awaiting us in the kitchen table. I'd only wish we stayed longer than 1 week.

The property lives up to expectations, the owners greeted us at the villa and were very nice.

Great villa by the sea, very quiet and close to Seracusa. The villa lives up to the pictures on the web site. Its breathtaking ! The only drawback is the internet connection, if you really need an internet connection on your holiday you should not choose this villa. otherwise, its a great villa in a wonderful location.

Beautiful villa for a family

We were very satisfied with this large and well equipped villa. We were joined by our daughter and her husband, along with our 2 grandkids, and everyone felt right at home. There was plenty of space for everyone, including play areas for the kids. We had plenty of fun roaming the yard and gardens and going down to the rock beach. However, we did find it a little awkward getting to the nearby sandy beach as the narrow roads made it too difficult to take young kids - solved with a 5 minute drive. Vincenza our hostess was marvellous and welcoming, and had stocked many staples for our visit. She was extremely helpful! A very enjoyable holiday.

The living room is very big and comfortable with three sitting areas. Each bedroom is spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Two bathrooms, a wonderful kitchen fully equipped, and a nice laundry room. Really a spectacular property, well-decorated by the owner. We enjoyed visiting around to Noto and Siracusa. The owner is very responsive, helped us with a medical problem. We recommend this property unreservedly if you wish to stay in the Fontane Bianche area. We have rented VRBO numerous times in various countries and this rates as one of the best. Grazie mille, Vincenza!

Perfect

The villa was spacious, the host was super friendly, the kitchen was fully stocked (and I mean FULLY), and the view was spectacular. Normally, I try hard to find at least one negative about my experience so readers know that my review is from a real person who had a real experience; however, I really can't find one. This home could not have been more perfect. Such a beautiful location, right on the sea. We spent most of our time when we were home on the terrazza - mornings drinking our coffee, afternoons enjoying the sunshine, and evenings watching the moon rise. The house itself has so much beauty. It was well appointed with lots of beautiful decor - pottery and art work. The space was relaxing and warm with multiple spaces to enjoy. It was extremely clean and inviting. Everything we needed was there. The kitchen had everything available and more! It was also wonderful to be able to walk right down to the water. We did not swim, but it was possible (rocky, not beach). Vincenza met us when we arrived and when we were ready to leave. She was warm, helpful, and welcoming. We did not want to leave!!!

Everything we hoped for

This is a lovely villa, in a fantastic position. Being able to sit on the private patio with an unspoilt view of the Mediterranean at the foot of the garden was a privilege we never thought we would have. The weather when we were there was very pleasant but at that time of year we did not feel inclined to swim, but this would certainly be possible on calm summer days (bring beach shoes). Away from the patio, the garden is lovely and there is plenty of shade, and I presume the slightly elevated position must catch any cooling breeze during the height of summer. The villa is used by the family themselves, which explains why it is so well equipped and why it is such an easy and comfortable house to live in. It was spotlessly clean and the welcome we received from the Vincenza and Lidia was very warm, and they also provided a generous welcome pack to get us started, including there own olive oil. The Villa is an excellent base for touring the Southeast of the island, with easy access to the autostrada network. This allowed us to travel for day trips without difficulty as far north as Taormina and as far west as Valle dei Templi. Of course, with such gems as Noto, Ragusa, Scicli, Ortigia, and Palazzolo Acreide closer by you may not feel the need to go so far. All of the above are well worth seeing. We had a lovely time here, and would like to thank the Cuoco's for their hospitality.

Lovely villa in a beautiful location

The highlight of this villa has to be the great terrace with wonderful views out of the sea. At the bottom of the garden is a gate giving access to the rocky shore and it is easy to get to the sea from an access slip. The villa is comfortably furnished in a traditional style with many interesting local pieces of art. The owner left am excellent selection of bread, fruit and other necessary items that was unexpected and a very useful. The beds were comfortable and the showers, while over the baths, had plenty of hot water. Very quiet and peaceful (apart from the occasional and inevitable gardening in surrounding properties). The motorway is about 10 minutes away and made it easy to get about the East Coast, There are some great places to visit nearby, although Sicilian road signs and tourist information need to be careful interpreted! While there are some mini markets nearby, the bigger supermarkets such as Lidl are to the South in Avola. While the villas is highly recommended, a few points to watch are 1) the internet access was provided by a mobile router which only worked in the evening and then intermittently 2) there are lots of bugs that bite in this part of Sicily. The owner left a basket with a selection of sprays and plug in units that should have puts more on notice especially when we went down to the sea 3) while not advertised, there is a TV but only Italian channels and no DVD.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Mare Arabico. The villa is tastefully decorated, as in the photos, and has an enormous terrace with a fantastic view of the sea and plenty of outdoor furniture for dining and lounging. The bedrooms are separated from the living area and kept cool by air conditioning. We took full advantage of the private access to the sea, swimming every day in the crystal clear water, just the right temperature for cooling off. The hosts were very welcoming and responsive, and since we arrived in the evening of the first day, we were especially grateful that they had stocked the kitchen not only with coffee but also bread, pasta, eggs, fruit etc. Although we had many activities planned, in truth we would have been content just to relax at the villa and swim all day!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic family stay in Fontane Bianche. After travelling around Sicily, this villa was the perfect place to slow down, relax and enjoy a bit of beach life. The house was exactly as described – clean, comfortable, well-equipped and with plenty of space for our family to spread out and unwind. The location is good and a great base for exploring places like Siracusa, Noto and the surrounding coastline. But there seems to be an issue in this area (and others in Sicily) where there is a lot of garbage being dumped on the roadside and this was our first impression of Fontane Bianche (not the Airbnb). What really stood out was how easy everything was. Check-in was smooth, communication with the host was excellent throughout, and we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. It’s clear the property is well cared for and set up with guests in mind. Some of our favourite holiday memories from Sicily were made sitting outside in the evenings. Thank you ❤︎
