We really enjoyed the house and the nearby beaches. Paia which is nearby has a lot to do. Highly recommend!

Lovely north shore cottage in unique location

Lovely cottage in a very unique part of the north shore, walking distance to Mama's beach. This is a small place with everything we needed, a nice break from our regular soulless condos in south Maui. We got to meet some warm and friendly local neighbors and it was great to meet one of the hosts in person when he came by for an announced visit. I would love to stay there again the future.

Great cottage close to activities!

Loved this little cottage! Lots of space, helpful property manager and great home base for all our activities. Could walk to 2 different beaches, Mama’s Fish House and small corner store that had great food and groceries. Well equipped with everything we needed. My favorite part? Definitely the outdoor shower!

perfect aloha

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at Grom's Hideaway. The location was ideal, a very short walk to Mama's beach in a beautiful quiet residential neighborhood with Kuau store just a block or so away, just a few minutes to downtown Paia- great restaurants and Mana Foods, and quick drive to other beaches, waterfalls, and more. We would return to this house. It was clean and cheerful with enough room for us and a great outdoor shower. The property manager was helpful and kind and the owners next door were incredibly hospitable, showing us true Aloha. We would definitely return. Mahalo!

Quite place close to beach access.

Our family loved being able to walk to the beach and nearby coffee shop/store. The bedrooms were adequate, with AC units in each room (none in the rest of the house.) It was fun seeing the geckos - especially for the kids. The kitchen had most everything you might need for cooking. Everyone loved the outdoor shower! The owner brought us coconuts and showed us how to open them. There was just enough shade for sitting in in the afternoon. It's not the Hilton - but we really enjoyed it.

Great Maui North Shore Location.

Great Maui North Shore Location. Property is very well maintained. Access to Kuau Keyhole for Windsurfing or Wing foiling. Walk to awesome Kuau mart. Met the owner of the property and enjoyed visiting with him as well.

Great house!

Our family had a wonderful time staying at this house. The location is excellent, the house is very comfortable and the property owners were helpful and accommodating.

Awesome place on the north shore of Maui!

Grom's hideaway was perfect for our family of 4. House was in great location, clean and had necessary amenities. Daniella, property manager meet us upon arrival and was highly responsive to our questions. The owners of the house live next door and were super-friendly as well as gracious hosts. You will be lucky to stay here and experience the Aloha.

Paradise Home in Maui

Ist was wonderful, to be in such a loving, wellcared for Hawaiian Old Style Home so close to Hookipa Beach and to all other little beaches near the house we really felt at home for the stay being there ! Thanks for everything Mahalo nui loa and Aloha Margareta and friends

excellent surf house

If you are looking for a big hotel experience in Wailea then go stay at the Grand Wailea. If you are looking for a sweet house in Paia then this is your spot. Location is great--outdoor shower is fab, furnishings and kitchen and grill are best I have ever seen in a rental. They have beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and coolers to make your beach experience everything you need. Neighborhood quiets down so that having the windows open at night is no problem. And the owner and his family live right next door and are most excellent. They showed us how to drink from coconuts (from a weird tool in that well stocked kitchen). Part of me doesn't want to even give this place a good review cause I want to keep it for myself. But I just couldn't do that. Much aloha.

Quiet 3 bedroom house.

We enjoyed staying at Grom’s place. Owners live next door and are very helpful. Beach is very close. Good spot to watch the sun go down and see a turtle. Other great beaches nearby. Would definitely recommend for a family.

Lovely accommodations and perfect location

We had a wonderful week in Paia staying in this beautifully maintained vintage bungalow. Comfortable, private neighborhood. So appreciated the fully equipped spacious kitchen and living spaces. We look forward to future stays at Grom's Hideaway!

Joli cottage hawaiien

Nous avons adoré cette petit maison très confortable, propre, joliment décorée et très bien placée pour les différentes excursions sur l'ile et les courses à Paia. Quartier résidentiel très calme, petite plage pour se baigner accessible à pied. Coquet jardin avec transats permettant de lézarder au soleil sans se déplacer. Un grand plus : la douche extérieure attenante à la salle de bain ! Une adresse sure où l'on est bien accueillis et où l'on se sent presque chez soi !

Fantastic location and just what we needed

Great location around the corner from downtown Paia. We walked to the market and the shops every day. House was comfortable and clean and worked well for our group of adults and children. Nice private backyard with really soft grass. Only complaint - the hammock no where near as comfortable as it looked in the photos
