We truly enjoyed staying at villa Karumaya. The house is beautiful and the view is stunning. The balcony is amazing. The landscaping is gorgeous and well maintained. Property owner and management are extremely responsive, helpful and a joy to work with. I highly recommend staying at this villa.

We had a large party of 9 guests and the Villa was an excellent base to relax and enjoy the sun and give us a break from our Canadian winter. We were unaware of the BBC show "Death in Paradise however met various UK'ers intown that showed us the sights. The seafood and fishing were amazing and we all have a new appreciation for wild roosters

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The owner provided great property and local recommendations that truly enhanced our visit.The concierge service was outstanding—the home was spotless, well organized, and very welcoming upon arrival. Booking activities and extras was easy and well coordinated. A highlight was our snorkeling trip with Anbadlola. Adelaide was a passionate and knowledgeable guide, making it a memorable experience. We also enjoyed the restaurant recommendations, especially Chez Raf and Paradize Kafé.Highly recommended—we would happily return.

Great property

We love this house and highly recommend it to anyone going to Guadeloupe. We spent more time in house itself this year because it such a lovely home.

Tranquil villa set in fabulous gardens

Beautiful, well equipped villa and lovely pool in a quiet and spacious setting with incredible specimen plantings! Would happily rent this villa again!

Beautiful House

This was a fabulous vacation in a wonderful house. So close to beach, bakery, and a short drive to Deshaies. Views from house and sound of waves crashing in the distance was beautiful and relaxing. The house has everything you need to make your vacation complete. Can’t wait to come back next year!

Guadeloupe Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa Karumaya. The grounds were absolutely splendid! There were tons of beautiful flowers and the house was very open with a beautiful ocean view. It was a wonderful time! After a long day of exploring Basse-Terre, the pool felt amazing. This side of the island can get pretty humid, but at night you can close the shutters and make the house nice and cool! The owners were also very accessible and helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough!

We loved our stay at this house. The feel is somewhat rustic — the windows and doors open fully and let in the coastal breeze, but also sometimes critters, but we greatly enjoyed the experience of staying there. The pool was clean and refreshing, the perfect temperature, and the grounds were immaculately maintained. A good amount of hot water, and modern showers. The kitchen was full of everything we needed. The beds are on the older side, but we slept very well in general, especially with how active our vacation was.The beach, with wide golden sand and clear water, was a short but steep walk down the hill, very convenient. Our stay was over Easter, so some of the nearby restaurants had odd hours, but everyone was extremely nice, despite our limited French. The recommendations from our host were spot on. In particular, we loved Pelican Adventures and Chez Raf, but the Blue Lagoon sunset boat trip was also incredible.This is a terrific home base for a stay in Guadeloupe. The Basse Terre side is wild and gorgeous. It was our first visit, but will not be our last.

Exceeded our expectations

This is a lovely home and it was perfect for a family of 10. We enjoyed the outdoor space (verandah), pool and the children enjoyed exploring the property. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking at home. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. It is a close walk to the beach but someone with accessibility problems should be aware that it is a big hill to walk up from the beach. We had no problems with the walk. We had everything we needed within a short walk - two bakeries, a few restaurants and a market that has basic items. I would definitely recommend this home to friends and family.

Five star house and location

We stayed at this Deshaies house the first week of November. This was our first vacation since Covid started. The booking process was simple and the owner very communicative. We had worries about flights and he was very flexible and accommodating. We really appreciated his thoughfulness. Guadeloupe is a wonderful combination of quiet and enough amenities to feel like a vacation. Its beaches are perfect. Ten minutes west of the house is the best beach on the island. Picture perfect with excellent restaurants and golden sand. We toured mostly the western side including a day sailing trip out of Basse-Terre. The house was perfect. It was equipped with everything. The indoor/outdoor living space was fantastic. Large porch around the house that gives shade when wanted and the pool out front. The neighborhood is quaint and there was live music across the road a couple of nights. The beach at the bottom of the road is a 5 min walk - though a steep walk back up. The restaurant on the beach side at the bottom of the road has rotisserie chicken that looked fantastic but they do it just on weekends. Lots of nice restaurants in Deshaies. I highly recommend this location and the owners. Check in was a breeze as was check out. Thank you for sharing your vacation spot with us.

Karumaya is a Fantastic Home

This property was perfect for our two families. Yannick, the property owner/manager is exceptionally welcoming, responsive, and helpful with questions and recommendations. Adeline, the concierge (arrival/departure greeter housekeeper) was also warm, welcoming, and helpful, ensuring the home was perfectly ready for us. She also coordinated and brought a chef-prepared dinner to the house for us. Every detail is thought through with this house. The home, furniture, amenities, appliances are in excellent condition. Highly equipped kitchen for in home meal preparation if you choose. Great use of technology with Wi-Fi access throughout all three floors, Sonos speaker connectivity, extra adapters and cords, and television. Airconditioning in all bedrooms was very nice on the hot nights. The lower level attached “apartment” with two bedrooms, living room and additional mini kitchen was a great space for our four 18-21 year old kids to enjoy their own space while the four adults enjoyed the main and second floors. The extensive landscaping, the beautiful pool area, and the first-floor open living design extending every room onto the large veranda surrounding two sides of the home make the property feel like your own private resort that is hard to leave. Groupings of furniture throughout the living space, verandas and pool deck allow for people to spread out into their own spaces, or for the whole group to fit together for socializing. Enjoy! We’ll be jealous we’re not there!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison de Yannick, la vue est à couper le souffle.Le seul bémol que nous pourrions évoquer est le manque d’insonorisation dans la maison que nous avons remarqué car nous avons plusieurs enfants en bas âge. La maison est bien équipée, il y a tout ce qu’il faut et Yannick est très disponible. Le jardin est magnifique et la piscine très agréable. La plage qui se trouve à 100m de la maison est très jolie.Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille et recommandons la maison à 100%

Villa magnifique complètement conforme aux photos. L’emplacement est parfait, proche de la plage de Leroux et à proximité des autres plages de Deshaies. Très agréable à vivre et très bien équipée. Le jardin est magnifique et tout est très bien entretenu. Nous espérons y revenir.

Une villa magnifique

Villa magnifique et très spacieuse, très bien équipée, un jardin superbe et bien entretenu, une piscine très agréable qui a fait le bonheur des enfants, une plage de rêve à 2 minutes à pieds, un propriétaire extrêmement sympathique et une conciergerie d'une gentillesse et d'une disponibilité rares. Je recommande sans réserve.

Très belle résidence

Bravo pour votre propriété, conforme au descriptif (un peu chère ma foi !)seules les pluies tropicales quotidiennes hormis les Saintes et la piscine à 27 degrés ont gâché un peu la fête par contre les petits enfants se sont éclatés.Les restaurants en bas de la rue: La terrasse Leroux top mais déçus par celui d'en face.Adeline de la conciergerie très disponibleMerci tout de même car le dépaysement était total Qui sait, à bientôt peut être. Séjour idyllique en famille

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille de 11 personnes dont 4 enfants. Très belle maison et jardin, conforme à la description et idéalement placée avec plage à proximité. Très bon service de conciergerie.
