This was our 4th Summerhouse stay and we never had issues with any of the units we stayed at before, the Property Management company has always been professional and friendly. The property is clean and well maintained. However, unit 338 had a different experience. We settled in later afternoon day before 4th of July. After we came back from dinner, we realized the AC was not working after several attempts to get it going. The next day they sent out two AC companies one said AC has to be replaced the other telling the owner a compressor needed to get ordered and it will take 10 days to come in. The owner was nice enough to offer her daughters place which we thought would be a temporary fix. Great they had AC companies come out on 4th of July but why settle for one opinion, why not get several ones to see if anyone can get it done sooner. We were staying there for 7 days and on our first day we had no AC they had time to fix it. Well, it was not, and we had to move into a smaller unit that was full of someone else’s personal belongings. We couldn’t unpack into closets and drawers, pantry was full, so we had to have our food on the kitchen counter, and the refrigerator was half full. When we left, we said we appreciated the alternative accommodation, but we were not as comfortable as we would have been in the original larger unit where we would only have our own stuff can you please offer a partial refund. The owner asked my opinion on the amount and that’s when things got nasty and personal attacks started flowing. I would like to advise you, if you have any issues with this unit DO NOT deal with the owner, just work with the Property Management company. When things go bad you don’t need anyone putting you down on top of the issue you are experiencing.
