This is a beautiful home situated right on Lake Harris in lake county Florida. If you are looking for a little piece of paradise then this is it! Imagine having your cup of coffee in the morning and looking at the sunrise on the lake. This is a newly updated home built in 1950 with all original heart pine walls. It has 1 bedroom, 1 bath, large windows throughout the house so you can take advantage of the lake views. From here you can take advantage and see the 4th of July fireworks from multiple towns, this is quite the view. WiFi, cable, heat and air with all the basic necessities you may need throughout the house. There is also a washer and dryer for your use. We invite you to our little bit of paradise but we ask you that NO boat mooring or swimming to be done. please keep in mind every body of water in Florida could have venomous snakes and/or alligators and we ask that you stay out of the water and keep pets out too. The owner will NOT be held liable for any accidents. By renting this house you agree to these terms.
The nearby Mission Inn boasts 3 beautiful restaurants, fantastic golf facilities, and a spa all of which are open to the public. The outdoor and recreation experiences offered by Mission Inn Resort and Club are both diverse and unique. In addition to championship golf, the resort offers trap and skeet shooting, tennis, fresh water fishing, nature trails, a pool, playgrounds, restaurants and more.

At times you will see a lot of wildlife on the property from fox, peacocks, turkeys, and many different types of birds. It is also an easy walk to the Yalaha Bootlegging company and organic blueberry farm which has live music on Saturdays or to the famous German bakery which has live music as well on the weekends.

Lakeridge winery- Clermont's award winning winery offers tours and free tastings.

Mount Dora- Antiquing capital of the world! This quaint town is situated along a lake and is famous for all of it's antique shopping.

Kayaking- Both Wekiva, Wekiwa, Juniper and Rainbow springs river are great for kayaking.

President's Hall of Fame- Located in Clermont, this wax museum features white house presidents from the past.

We have great bicycling trails and areas here!

Home away from home

This cabin has the homey/comfortable feel. I was just about done looking for a place to stay but this property popped up, it was destiny. Cabin, property, everything was top notch. Icing on the cake for me was being able to bring my fur babies; icing for my husband was the fishing. Could not find a better place. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Cauley for opening up your home. We will definitely be back,

Great getaway to relax with nature.

We totally enjoyed our stay at the cabin, it was set up perfectly didn’t really need to bring anything it was very clean and comfortable. We got to see so much animal life and just relax in nature. Lake Harris is beautiful peaceful and so relaxing. I recommend anyone to go here and I am confident you will not be disappointed. Thank you Eddie for the beautiful cabin and bye Jake my Belli girl and My boy Thanos enjoyed meeting you. Till next time.

Mr Cauley very nice always making sure everything is as it is supposed to be,if anything happens he’s on it always a great stay . And you have to meet jake the dog he’s the welcome guy super sweet

Perfect setup

Was in town for a fishing tournament, the house and carport were great for keeping the boat out of the weather and organizing tackle. Property owner was great. Would definitely stay here again

Peaceful, beautiful, relaxing piece of paradise!! The view is amazing and relaxing.

We had a great time. The view is amazing, the house is clean and located right on the lake. It was nice to sit back and listen to the birds. Ed is a great host, every thing was perfect. We will be back here to stay. Ed let us bring our old pug which is blind. This was what we needed, great winter break from Ohio.

Great stay

The property was perfectly suited for our fishing trip to the area. Good parking for our boat, and great location to local services. Very pleasant setting. The owner of the property is a nice man that cares for his clients.

A peaceful stay at Lake Harris

This was our first time staying at a VRBO offered property (or any similar type of privately owned property offered for short term rental) and we have been positively impressed. Our great host, Ed, met us upon arrival and showed us the property, adding that he remained readily available if we had any concerns or questions. The property was in mint condition of cleanliness and we had no doubt that the property had been cleaned to the deepest extend possible in the pandemic era that we live. Staying by the lake was peaceful and fulfilled what we were looking for: spending some quality family time with our son who we hadn't seen in over one month after he moved to college campus in Orlando. While located in what seems a remote area, one is close to a myriad of outdoors and water activities. We kayaked on 3 of the surroundings lakes, including lake Harris into which we could launch from the pier right in front of the property. This is certainly worth repeating, especially during the difficult times that everybody is going through. Ed, his wife, and his property are certainly worth the 5 stars, without forgetting their lovely and friendly 4 paws companion, Jake.

Great Retreat on Lake Harris

We felt right at home during our stay at this property! The property manager was very helpful and courteous and the rental was clean. We especially enjoyed being right on Lake Harris with an unobstructed view out the front windows of the lake and some of the native trees and waterfowl!

A great place to stay

Eddie met us as we arrived even though we arrived 2 hours early and accommodated us with our every need. We towed a 19 ft boat and it was easy to back it under the carport. It had the necessary power plugs to charge our batteries. The cottage sits right on Lake Harris and has a tremendous view. It is also next to a small canal along the side that curves around to the back of the property. This canal provides bank fishing opportunities, as well. The dock into the lake has bench to sit and relax. The cottage was very clean and had all amenities needed. The Queen size beds were very comfortable.. We had a great time and I would comeback in a heartbeat. I highly recommend Eddie's place. He was a great host.

Peaceful retreat!

We love this cabin on the lake. So quiet and relaxing, feels like you’re a million miles away(when in fact it’s a short drive to find anything you need). Owner was wonderfully helpful. Cabin was spotless, very comfortable, well equipped. Our pups thoroughly enjoyed the wildlife and grassy space to run! Already planning to return as soon as we can!
