Charming Desert Casita

This bright and comfortable casita is a cozy retreat; it is appointed with all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay. The house has it's own entrance with a patio to catch the Sonoran sunsets. There is a bright, full kitchen with an eat-in bar area and beautiful marble countertops. The bedroom has a queen-size bed and it's own tv. Other features include a pullout sofa, full-size washer and dryer, wireless internet, Direct TV, Keurig, and a dedicated parking spot.

This casita is located right across from the McDowell Preserve, which is over 30,000 acres and encompasses hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails.

The McDowell Sonoran Preserve really gives the feeling of seclusion, however you are actually less than ten miles away from four beautiful public golf courses, with many great dining and shopping options. Some of the local highlights include Westworld, the home of the famous Barrett Jackson car auction (15 miles), The Waste Management Open (14 miles), Keirland Commons outdoor shopping area (15 miles), and the idyllic Carefree and Cave Creek western-themed town with great shopping (15 miles).

Great little place!

Great for short or long term for 1 or 2 people. It was easy to settle in and make it feel like home. If you're a mountain biker the location is an 11. Trails start right across the street. McDowell Mtn Park is 10-15 mins on isolated dirt roads/paths. I'll be staying here again if it's available.

Everything we’d hoped for and more

The casita was as listed to the letter. What we also found was a perfectly located, immaculate and very thoughtfully appointed home away from home. The exceptional hosts had anticipated our needs with clearly written instructions for use, as well as suggestions for area activities. We left after our visit wanting more time in this beautiful place.

Everything you need for a 2-person get-away!

Kristen’s place was absolutely perfect for our stay. Checking in and out were easy. Location was perfect for activities in the desert. The house was incredibly clean and had everything we needed (we particularly valued the high-quality items throughout the house, such as towels, kitchen ware, etc., versus other homes we’ve stayed at). We hope to come back again in the future and will recommend Kristen’s spot to others visiting the area. Thanks again, Kristen!

Our stay was perfect at this "Charming Desert Casita". Kristen and Dale were more than accommodating. The location was great for hiking/walking and just a short drive for dining out or to pick up a few things for dining in. Highly recommend!

All the previous reviews are correct this was an amazing place to stay.

When i read the reviews i had to stay here and they were all correct about what a beautiful place to stay. Great communication and was easy to get to work everyday from this remote location.

Really Sweet Place for One

Very clean, well-appointed, and quiet Casita in a nice neighborhood, across from the Preserve. Was a convenient location for a week of mountain biking in the area, and especially for access to the Preserve and Mountain Park. Enjoyed my communications with the responsive on-site owners. I would return without question. Note: the marble countertops require extra care, as they are more delicate than granite tops.

This casita was all it said and more. Great location with direct access to Brown’s Ranch biking and hiking trails. Roomy, well-appointed with a full kitchen. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice!

We enjoyed our stay. Hosts were very friendly and available if needed. Landscaping is beautiful and nice view out over the desert to watch the sunset. Unit was clean and nicely decorated.

The property was very clean and well appointed. The location was perfect for us. It is away from the busy city traffic in a very scenic area. The property owners kept in contact in case we needed anything. And the McDowell Preserve has two trailheads for hiking very close to the property. We enjoyed our stay

Enjoyable, Refreshing Visit

We enjoyed our too short visit to this perfectly appointed vacation home. Exactly as described. Immaculately clean, modernly decorated, well-stocked kitchen and bath, comfy, cozy bed, tv that even we seniors could manage to operate. We appreciated Kristen's attention to detail. Very close to a Brown's Ranch where we enjoyed daily walks/hikes. Had a great dinner at Tonto Bar & Grill; very busy, make reservations. Quiet, rural area within an easy drive of Scottsdale.

Quiet delight

We had such a great, comfortable stay at the casita.. The rooms were meticulous maintained and the serenity that it brought us during our stay was priceless. Thanks for making this a peaceful place to lay our heads away from the hustle and bustle of the city! We will be back.

Just what we needed

This was a perfect casita for us, partway between our home under renovation and all the stores etc that we were frequenting. Kristen and Dale were fine hosts and we would stay there again.

Desert getaway

The property was everything we were looking for. A quiet, out of the way retreat. The proximity to hiking trails was a major plus. The Casita and its furnishings were very inviting. Highly recommend the property to anyone wanting to be out of the hustle and bustle of traffic.

Very happy with our stay!!

We were very pleased with our stay, it was very clean & comfortable, the owners were very kind, and the location was outstanding as well. For the just the two of us, we had a very active week in Scottsdale and so it was exactly what we needed! I'd recommend it!

It was one of the nicest homes I have ever staye in.

It was one of the nicest homes I have ever stayed in. The house was perfectly appointed .There was nothing that I could have imagined to be more perfect. Looking out the windows, the gardens told stories. The fresh air the quiet and stillness of being up in that area of the desert is something everyone should experience. I didn’t want to leave. The host., honored my privacy and yet were there if I needed anything. I will definitely come back!

Great location for recreation

We selected this house due to the proximity to Pinnacle Peak and its plethora of trails. The added bonus was a beautiful house and area to telework and relax to watch the sunset. The WiFi was plenty fast for my partner and I to work during the day. The kitchen is well equipped and has nearly everything you need to prepare your meals. The owners Kristen and Dale are very nice and extremely responsive, plus they were a pleasure to chat with during our stay. If we return to Scottsdale, we will definitely stay here again!
