The highlight of our visit was Verena herself who made us feel so comfortable. She was a most gracious host who personally welcomed us at the door. Her guesthouse is beautiful, meticulously cared for, and very comfortable. Her breakfasts were delicious. especially her personally-prepared bacon and eggs as well as local products. Her Swiss dinners were exquisite.

Paul and his family were very nice guests who treated my house and its facilities with the utmost care. I am very grateful for that. They enjoyed the various rooms for a carefree and relaxing stay. I was very happy to spoil them with my cooking skills. The guests are always welcome back to my boutique villa. Verena, hostess

Fantastic B&B

Verena was a great host. We had a large group and rented all the rooms. Everything was perfect in the house. As to location, it’s great. The train station is across the street. A restaurant is next door. The lake is across the train tracks. And the views from every window is fantastic. Highly recommended.

My Boutique Villa au Lac is run as a Bed & Breakfast Guesthouse. Alex rented the complete house with 6 bedrooms for his family (10 people), without meals. I would have loved to spoil the guests with a generous breakfast buffet, but of course the guest has the choice. He really appreciated the location of the house, because Sachseln is an ideal starting point for activities and excursions to the important sights of central Switzerland and the Bernese Oberland. I enjoyed the presence of the large family very much. I am convinced that everyone enjoyed their stay and went home with wonderful memories.

Wonderful Experience in Sachseln

Our family vacation in Switzerland was wonderful including the few days we stayed at the Verena’s Inn in Sachseln. Before booking our stay Verena was very communicative in my requests for information at her B&B and the different places to visit in the central Switzerland. Her knowledge of the many different activities and recommendations for services, restaurants and travel throughout the country were extremely helpful and made our vacation experience amazing in the sites we took in and the ease and simplicity with being able to get places and into the different venues. While at the Inn, Verena was extremely accommodating in making sure all of our family member’s needs we’re catered to, including doing everything for one of family members who had special dietary needs. I can’t say enough positive things about the wonderful service we received. It is one thing to say the coffee and breakfast were very nice, but it was Verena’s extra effort and constant attention to detail that made things so wonderful and memorable. I know I speak for the entire family we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Last word regarding our stay in the B&B, the inn is everything the pictures show. And overall experience was so accessible with the trains being so close by or right beyond the property made getting into Lucerne, Sarnen or other towns around Sachseln so simple to see different things and have access to different restaurants Thank you Verena
