Great place to stay when visiting Tucson/Oro Valley!

It has full Kitchen for cooking/BBQ ing and enjoying some peaceful downtime, plus the warm weather is fantastic.

Tons of parking - RVs are OK, small yard and doggie door for your furry friends (2 max).

Plenty of space for Bike storage inside.

Guest wing with only 1 Private entrance into a large living room with full sized pull out couch, (an additional Full size bed by request) and TV. Full Kitchen with dining area.1 Bedroom/bathroom with King size bed and large closet.

Backs to State park- you can hike from the backyard!

Charming patio/yard with mountain view, outdoor lights and seating with BBQ.

Excellent premises and host

Ami made sure our stay was comfortable, and all our needs met. She quickly responded to any texts and, as she lives and works in the main house, she was usually there to take care of any requests. The casita is attached to the main house but excellent soundproofing negated any noise from either side. The bedroom was large with a large TV, bedside tables on both sides, and walk-in closet. The attached bathroom offered plenty of counter space. We stayed a month and were pleased that the kitchen had amble counter space for our bread-making machine and large Berkey water filter. The spacious living room had enough clear space for our exercise mat. The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed many evening hot-tub dips which gazting at the stars. We plan to return next year for another month-long stay.

Oro Valley

The guest house was perfect for my wife and our dog for our one week stay. Well appointed, had everything we needed. Nice little fenced in area to lounge outside with the dog and great views. Loved the location, pretty secluded but close to everything on Oracle. Will stay again.

Perfect place to rest our heads

We were in town for a swim meet! This place had enough room for my boys to rest and relax in between sessions! The view was awesome. Communication with Ami was fantastic as well. We hope to stay again when we go back to Oro valley!

Right next to the mountain.

Tucked away next to the mountain. Fully stocked with condiments, coffee, tea. Convenient to Oro Valley Hospital where I was visiting my husband who was a patient there.

Perfect!

The stay was awesome and perfect for what we were looking for! We did a temporary stay for over a week and it was close by many restaurants, gas station, grocery stores like Trader Joe’s! Our dogs, kids, and adults had a great stay! It was quiet and we got to see chickens every morning which was a plus. Ami was very communicative and gave us access to her pool and yard if we needed!

Not what it seems

When I saw the photos online, I was given the impression we were staying at a house with a fenced-in backyard with a pool. Not quite. We were in an attached apartment to said house, which was occupied by no less than three adults and two large, less-than-friendly dogs at the time; there would be no use of the pool or yard. Being from Phoenix, I expected the house to have central air. Nope. There were three very loud wall-mounted cooling units, which really didn't keep the rental uniformly cool. This is a pet-friendly rental, so I was concerned when I noticed the carpet when we arrived. It smelled like bleach when we arrived, but by the next day, that smell had been replaced by a dirty animal funk. This prevented us from sleeping in the front room when we discovered the king-size bed in the only bedroom was as hard as a rock, and neither of us slept at all the first night. Also, the maximum number of people this could sleep would be five unless you have a third person in the bed or someone sleeps on couch cushions on the floor. As it is there is only a king-sized bed and a twin bed, but there are couches. The area was very convenient for our needs, but we were miserable the whole time.

2nd visit! Awesome scenery & location. Pool was wonderful on hot days for both human and dogs. Had everything I needed... from kitchen to bathroom necessities. And did I say the location was perfection? 1 hour to Madera Canyon, 30 minutes to zoo, 20 minutes to Sonoran museum, 7 minutes to Tohono Chul Desert Botanical Gardens and 12 minutes to Catalina State Park. Lots of restaurants with a myriad of cuisine nearby. Perfect dog friendly get-a-way!

Oro Valley

Doggie Haven!! Great location: close to stores, Tucson City proper, Zoo, Catalina State Park, Sabina Canyon, Tounono Desert Botanical Gardens and much more -- Madera Canyon, etc. only an hour or so away. Then after hiking, sight seeing or shopping bring dinner "home" or grill on the property and relax with a swim in the pool!! My dogs are "howling" to go back already!!

Great Location

The property had all the things we needed to do our whirlwind trip to Tucson area. Including the right number of beds for our group. The washer/dryer came in handy too when we needed to clean a couple of things during our stay! Great Location for exploring Oro Valley and Catalina State Park. Absolutely gorgeous views and the owners Dogs were so sweet!

North of Tucson Stay

Convenient to have a pool on property available for use, with our dog allowed pool-side. Note, the hot tub required advance communication to warm up- we only used once. Note, the washer/drier is an all-in-one (I'm not familiar with those), and had better luck air drying clothing vs. using the drying function. Ami was available for anything we would have needed, but didn't need to contact too much!

Home Away From Home

This property was absolutely perfect for our large family and pets! We were a little worried about other dogs on the property because one of our dogs is an agressive barker around other dogs, but there was a secure fence and separate sitting area for the rental, and the dogs never had to interact. Like others have mentioned, the wash next to the house was perfect for walking the dogs and taking in the natural habitat. The house was comfortable, nicely decorated, but not pretentious to the point that I worried about the kids touching things. The kitchen had all the supplies we could have needed. We used to have chickens and it was such a delight to hear the "ladies" chit chatting. My only drawback was a little confusion about check in and check out procedures, but the host was very reaponsive. This was my husband's first experience with a VRBO vs hotel and he was skeptical, but he is converted now! My parents live in Tucson and we will 100% use this property again!

Great for hiking

The house has hiking trails through a wash right next to it. It was fantastic for taking the dogs out every morning and evening. The paved road was also good for casual strolls around the neighborhood. Very close and convenient to shopping. Yard was smaller than we expected, but the hiking right out the door made up for it.

Great location for a short stay

This property is in a great location for restaurants, shopping and hiking. Host is friendly and quick to reply to messages. Host does need to update listing as property didn’t match online photos. Living room furnishing were not as depicted and views of desert and mountains are now obscured by large storage shed and conex storage container giving an industrial feel. Property needs a good detailed cleaning. Kitchen not well suited for longer stay or meal prep.

Book signing in the desert

Had the Best stay ! We had our Dog Kona. He had his own fenced in backyard with even a dog door! Place was clean and perfect location for us! Great property. Perfect neighborhood to walk Kona. The owner was So kind ! 100% recommend this gem!

I am originally from Tucson but lived in Southern California for 30 years.

I came back to Tucson to be close to family, however, I realized how much I love it here once I saw the Sunsets and Monsoons again. There are so many fun things to do in this area and so many friendly people.

I am a local Realtor with Long Realty and love anything to do with houses, remodels and decor. I also love anything outside - golf, hiking, swimming - the weather here supports a lot of year round activities.
