The space
While exploring Northern Arizona, you have your own private space to settle down in for the evening, a kitchen to make some home-cooked meals, a safe and quick walk to our neighborhood park or the Arizona Trail. Work remotely with fast wi-fi and counter space for a computer. Downtown Flagstaff restaurants and shops are just a couple of miles down the road. You have a direct easy drive straight to Snowbowl's Hart Prairie Lodge (14 miles to the lodge = approx. 30 mins. weather dependant).

Our Hillside Suite is located on the lower level of our home. There is no internal access from the main home into the suite. Descend a set of paver stairs (eleven to be exact) to the left of the porch, to a side private entrance down two more stairs at the door where you can then check in with the keypad.

You have access to a designated parking space on the LEFT side of our driveway for one vehicle. **Street parking is restricted from midnight to 7am November 1 to April 1 due to our city winter ordinance.** Any other time of the year, free street parking is available 24/7.

Your suite is just over 500 sq feet

You will first enter the main living area which is open to the kitchen and an island with four counter height chairs for dining or remote work. We have fast reliable internet, there is a screenshot in our photos for internet speed.

The living room is furnished with a sofa which can also serve as a queen size memory foam pull out bed with mattress protector. You have a Roku smart TV ready for you. It is logged in to Netflix, Hulu, HBO now, ESPN+, and Disney Plus. Feel free to log in to your own accounts if you need to get to your watch list! We have an antenna that picks up a few local channels but just a heads up, we do NOT have cable.

The kitchen has a reserved cabinet area for food storage, a full refrigerator, microwave, range, and dishwasher. Basic kitchen items such as knives, cutting boards, pots and pans, and pyrex dishes are provided for you to make your own meals. A Keurig coffee maker is ready when you need that caffeine! We have coffee, creamer, and sugar in the raw and Truvia set for you. Other kitchen supplies that are available are a crock pot, toaster, and blender. We also have a Brita water pitcher for fresh filtered water. Available for use are a variety of cooking spices, olive oil, salt, and pepper. There is not a stock of food items besides the above-mentioned items. We have kid-friendly plates, cups, and utensils.

Your bathroom has a single sink, full-size shower/tub combo with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. A hairdryer and a stacked washer and dryer are available to you anytime. Laundry detergent is provided- the current brand is Earth Breeze- hypoallergenic and fragrance-free. We do not supply dyer sheets.

Your bedroom is furnished with a pillow-top queen bed, Casper pillows, 100% cotton sheets, a six-drawer dresser, a small closet, full-sized mirror, hangers, iron, steamer, and a small ironing board.

Our Hillside Suite has ceiling fans and wall heaters in the living room and bedroom. The bathroom is heated with a baseboard heater. All can be adjusted to your comfort level.

Flagstaff is a mountain town at 7,000 ft elevation which cools down once the sun sets, we do NOT have A/C however the fans and open windows should provide you with cool mountain air during the warmer months.

We as a family live on the main and upper floor of the home, so there will be some daily living sounds. We tend to wake up early and we do our very very best to have light feet. If you are a light sleeper and wish to sleep in, the space may not be a good fit. There is a sound machine available if needed.

Our home backs the forest and our yard is natural which means some rocks, dirt/mud, boulders, and uneven terrain. At times we are outside in the yard area or working in the garage. With the natural backyard comes some critters! We often see deer, Abair squirrels, and other wildlife roaming in the back! A family of deer tend to walk down our pathway and past the bedroom window to the forest and sometimes sunbathe in the backyard. Be on the lookout if you hear some hooves!

If you have mountain bikes, snowboards, or skis, please store them outside behind our home. We have a locked shed available for board, ski, and boot storage. Bikes will also fit if stored semi-upright. Dimensions are provided in our photos.

Guest access
The suite is easy to get to with designated parking just for you. The suite is 100% separate from our home upstairs. The only access inside is located at the exterior door.

Other things to note
We are very excited to host you! To be sure our suite is the right fit for your vacation, please read the following:

No Smoking/smokers, no Vaping inside the suite or on our property. If there is a noticeable smell of cigarette, cigar, marijuana etc. smoke inside the suite resulting in the need for extra cleaning, replacement of items, or the need to cancel the next guest or re-house the next guest, all charges incurred for cleaning, item replacement, and canceling the next guest will be passed on to you.

We are unable to accommodate animals/pets of any kind due to family allergies.

The backyard is for all to enjoy! We are not responsible for injuries on play equipment or on the terrain. Adult supervision is advised for play time in the yard. It is natural landscape with rocks, boulders, and uneven ground.

Quiet hours after 10pm please, noise travels in our neighborhood and in summer months windows are often open.

We pride ourselves on offering a clean place to stay and on-time check-in for our guests.
Out of respect for Ruth, our cleaner and her schedule, I am unable to accommodate early check-in or late check-out. If you need late check-out please book an additional night. If you check out late and cause Ruth have to wait you will be charged a late check-out fee based on the charge from her.

100% of the cleaning fee goes to Ruth.
