Waterfront, 2 bedroom, 2 bath Private Cottage on Solitude Creek. 3.4 miles to St. Michaels and Oxford; 1 1/2 hours to Ocean City, MD or 45 min. to Annapolis. This wonderful cottage has it all - 2 bedrooms upstairs with queen beds and luxury linens; full bath upstairs with soaker tub. Full size washer and dryer and detergents for your use. Living room, dining with 4-6 chairs, bar, kitchen and full size bathroom are located downstairs with 2 sliding glass doors to private deck - all Water views! Private patio on waterside of cottage with private Hot Tub (open all year), picnic table, umbrella, gas grill, lounge chairs and seating area with table, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee and watching boats and waterfowl. Large firepit with firewood included surrounded by 6 Adirondack chairs and waterside hammock. Enjoy dock with 8' MLW with 4 chairs, cooler and umbrella. The Pool is not heated and opens in May/June as weather permits. - No dogs allowed.
Owners do reside on the property and are very respectful of your privacy. We are available to assist you in any way to ensure that you have the best possible experience for your getaway.
* We adhere to Talbot County Rental Lic #STRN-25-49 Rules of 3-night min. and 4 Guest maximum on property - No Parties or Weddings

The listing does not do this property justice. The dock to the water is just beautiful. There is a pool, hot tub, fire-pit. Seems like some folks have crabbed off the shore. The house has all the amenities we needed. Just a short drive to St. Michaels. It was lovely!

1000% would recommend. The hosts were extremely friendly, helpful and provided us with the utmost privacy. The house and the grounds were absolutely gorgeous, it was the perfect relaxing weekend getaway. This vrbo offers so many great amenities that made our stay so exciting and fun including a pool, hot tub, grill, hammock by the water, fire pit, dock, etc. The hosts even changed out the pool towels on the lounge chairs every morning. It is also a short 10 minute drive into St. Michael's which has so many cute restaurants and fun activities. My friends and I had a wonderful time here and we will definitely be coming back!

What an amazing stay. This house is everything we hoped for. The cottage is super clean, bedding was comfy, appliances clean and new, lawn and pool impeccably maintained. So many areas to enjoy the beautiful view. We spent most of our time on the dock under the umbrella reading and birding. The host met us when we arrived and gave us great dining suggestions. The location of the cottage is just 9 minutes from the Main Street in Saint Michael’s. Although she was at the main house we had all the privacy we needed. We are hoping to come back in the spring. 10/10

Perfect gateway

Once again we had an amazing time staying at Cheryl and Tom’s property! The house has everything we need and is so cozy. The grounds are beautiful and the pool is a hit with our daughter. My favorite part is having my morning coffee out on the dock.

Summer kickoff perfection

Within the first few hours, my husband, children (4y & 6y), and I had fallen in love with Cheryl and Tom’s cottage. Everything was better than pictured and Cheryl and Tom are excellent hosts. We had a glorious time exploring St. Michael’s and surrounding towns, and it was the perfect place to kick off summer. We look forward to many visits in the future!

Very impressive! The property was decorated and kept pristine! The host had thought of everything we could possibly want or need, from crab traps, the steamer, etc… we had a fabulous 4 days. Cheryl and Tom were welcoming and kind. Would highly recommend and would love to come back!

Just as advertised!!!

The property looks exactly as advertised! Everything is absolutely beautiful! The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The pool is fabulous and the dock is perfect for morning coffee. We also enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. Cheryl and Tom were always available if needed and provided everything we needed. St. Michaels is so close and easy to get to. I would highly recommend and would go back again!

Feeling Rejuvenated

My husband and I returned for another summer stay and enjoyed everything as much as we have previously. Comfortable, relaxing, lovely view and amazing pool! Quintessential summer! And the cottage was clean and fresh as always. Loved using the hot tub and enjoying the fire pit also. Nice outdoor area for grilling and eating crabs too. Everything is top notch!

Bliss!

Everything about our stay at Cheryl’s beautiful property was perfect. The cottage is light, airy, very comfortable, with a well stocked kitchen and lovely views onto the water from almost every window. When not visiting the charming, nearby towns of St. Michael’s and Easton, we enjoyed the gorgeous pool( which guests have to themselves) swimming,or gazing at the water from our lounge chairs. Bliss!

Just what we needed

This was exactly what we needed for our short spring break. Cheryl and Tom were so hospitable and the house had all the little luxuries and comforts. It was a perfect getaway, super close to St. Michaels and Easton and not too far from DC. This is definitely a property we would come back to.

Excellent Peaceful and Scenic

We stayed here and loved the place. Our hostess was very accommodating. The property was serene. The views were spectacular. We had all of the amenities we needed. We enjoyed walking around the property and reading books on the dock. We watched wildlife and boats while enjoying the sunshine. There is plenty of room for a family or two couples. We loved the window nook in our bedroom. It was a wonderful place to take a nap with the window open. Next time we want to soak in the deep tub!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful property, and I cannot express enough how delightful our experience was. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a host who exemplified hospitality at its finest. Communication with the host was impeccable; they responded promptly and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, ensuring our stay was nothing short of perfect. The property itself was a haven of comfort and cleanliness. It was evident that great care was taken to maintain a spotless environment. The spacious layout provided us with plenty of room to relax and unwind. We particularly enjoyed the luxurious hot tub, perfect for soaking away the day's adventures, and the cozy fire pit where we toasted marshmallows and made s'mores under the starlit sky. The outdoor amenities were just as fantastic. The expansive yard was a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts like us. We had a blast playing football in the lush greenery, and the basketball hoop in the driveway was a great source of fun and friendly competition. It's rare to find a property that offers such a perfect blend of relaxation and recreation. Overall, our stay at this VRBO property was nothing short of magical. The combination of a host who genuinely cared about our experience, a meticulously clean and spacious interior, and a plethora of outdoor activities made our vacation truly unforgettable.

Perfect cottage, perfect weather, perfect hosts

The cottage felt like home. Cheryl and Tom feel like your favorite next-door neighbors - helpful when you need them, but so unobtrusive. There isn't a thing missing from the cottage: there is plenty of space, a well-stocked kitchen, good AC and we needed it because we had good but hot weather, and the pool is perfect - just the right temp and enough pool toys to keep my 9-yo daughter amused. In fact, Cheryl invited her over to select some books she could read during our week there, and that she could keep! We checked out all the nearby towns, and Easton is by far our favorite, and has everything you could need, including some great restaurants. I can't wait for a return trip next summer! Thanks, Cheryl and Tom!

Tom and I are from Norfolk & Virginia Beach and have always loved the water. We found this beautiful lot in 1998 and had the Guest Cottage build on the Water side of the property. Then we started building our house and moved in in 2005. We love hosting and being able to share this magnificent property with others.

Our property is very unique, since we live on same property as our Guest Cottage, we are able to make sure everything is in working order, clean and organized, as we would expect from a hotel or short-term rental. We can assist with firepit, putting umbrellas up, crabbing, changing out lounge cover towels, etc. We are here to make a wonderful experience while giving lots of privacy when needed - if guests are in pool - that is for their private use.
