Are you looking for a secluded place to spend some quality time with loved ones? Well we have the place for you! Our cabin sits back on 85 acres of land. Fully equipped with everything that you will need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Hike the 85 acres, enjoy a fire by the firepit, relax in the hot tub on the spacious deck, fish in the stocked pond and take in the view.

Restored 1800's rustic cabin featuring 3 bedrooms plus a loft and 1 bathroom. Refinished flooring on 1st floor with fireplace, large dining table, laundry on-site, flat screen TVs and dvd player with video library, foosball table, hot tub, grill, and screened in porch. Wifi is available. We have a Ring doorbell to protect the property when vacant.

We are located just a short, 24 mile drive from Old Man's Cave, 16 miles from Lake Logan, and 24 miles from the Hocking Hills State Park. Be amazed at the beautiful scenery and waterfalls.

Enjoy the Hocking Hills Winery at only 15 miles away and Hocking Hills Moonshine Distillery at 13 miles away.

Whether you are looking for a relaxing stay at our 'home away from home' or you are interested in the several activities near by, you will be sure to enjoy yourself.

Awesome spot

Fishing was amazing. My 12 years old cuaght the albino catfish, which we saw on the deck the night before saying hope we can catch him lol.Very accommodating, host was always available. Thank you.

Cool Old Cabin!!

Loved the location, off the beaten path. very private. Had a few minor issues but, the owner responded very fast and took care of problems quickly. I would stay here again.

Book it!

This place is a gem! We absolutely loved our stay here! The kids enjoyed fishing in the pond, we all enjoyed the hot tub and took long walks on the property trails. Our elderly parents enjoyed it's beauty as well. It was absolutely perfect! The beds were comfortable, fully stocked kitchen, close to all Hocking Hills has to offer- one of our favorite places yet. You won't be sorry if you book here!

Hocking Hills July 2024

This property was amazing and had everything we needed when we arrived. Cindy, the host, was easy to get into contact with and made sure our stay was going well from the beginning!!! The location was perfect for our family and about 30 minutes from our daily adventures. There is a public pool 6 minutes down the road we also utilized through our stay. Games, fireplace, and huge hot tub were a hit for our family at curleys! We even went fishing at the pond!! Gas station and family dollar is 10 minutes away at most. Would recommend staying here! Perhaps we will be back ❣️

Wonderful!

We had an amazing time staying at Curley’s cabin and will definitely be back. Our 2 teenage sons enjoyed everything this place had to offer! We enjoyed the hot tub and even caught around 15 bass in the pond, including one 4 pounder! Very nice property and wonderful management. We thank you and WILL be back :)

We had the absolute best time staying at this cabin! We never left the property unless we needed something. Had a great time fishing and sitting by the fire. This was our second time and we will be back again! Very clean and cozy cabin 😊

Exactly what we were looking for!

This place was awesome and really easy to access. Very cool “old cabin” feel but updated throughout inside. The pond behind the property was great for swimming and fishing. Lastly, the property owners and team were local, super friendly, and really made the experience easy. I can’t wait to go back!

Perfect Getaway!

We needed a change of scenery and this was the perfect stay! Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Our daughters enjoyed the pond, hot tub and running around the big yard. Weather was chilly which made for awesome campfires! Overall excellent experience, we were sad to leave.

Peaceful family cabin

Curly's Cabin was perfect for our family. It's not far from everything. Beautiful, quite, clean and everything else. We couldn't of done any better for what we were looking for. We would definitely highly recommend this place to stay. We will be back!

Curly's Cabin- Complete Relaxation!

My husband and I went to Curleys cabin for our 20th wedding anniversary. The cabin was clean, fully stocked linens, equipped kitchen, all the amenities that you would need for a weekend away. The deck and hot tub overlooking the lake was perfect. Sitting in front of the fireplace for hours enjoying each others company with a beverage of a choice and the rustic charm lent itself very well to a very relaxing weekend. His and hers showers made it complete! I would go back in a heartbeat!!

Mini Family Vacation

The setting and cabin were very cute and we enjoyed having some family time. I would have liked to seen updated photos of the property, especially around the pond and the fire pit area. The children were really looking forward to fishing in the "stocked pond" and were disappointed when they didn't catch a single fish. Overall we enjoyed the property and our time together, just thought it could have been cleaned better.

There were no bunkbeds, there was non stop traffic to property they came and mowed grass while we were outside, pond wasn't stocked and water isn't drinkable..

It was a total surprise!

No Really... We were totally surprised how nice the house/cabin was. It was a little far away (25 Min.) from the Hocking Hills attractions but the privacy was well worth the drive. Not only was the cabin a surprise but the weekend was a total surprise for my wife. I told her the morning we left, My daughter, husband & grandson surprised her in hocking hills at lunch and our youngest daughter arrived at the cabin later that afternoon. four surprises in one day made for a GREAT Weekend! Thank you for renting out your piece of heaven!

Beautiful area, nice little get away!

My family and I had the best time at this little cabin! It’s in a beautiful, rustic little spot! And Cindy was great to work with! Place was clean and cozy, really enjoyed the sun porch and the back porch!! Fishing was fun, we assumed it would be like fishing in a barrel…had to work a little harder to fool those fish!!! Had a blast! We had 6 adults and a 10 month old, not the easiest place to have a baby in, but I knew that going in, it’s doable though! It’s perfect for a family with slightly older kids, my munchkin is just busy!! A nice place to hike if you like there being fewer people on the trail is Boch Hollow - just beautiful! We enjoyed Old Mans Cave but it was very busy, people everywhere and it’s about 40 minutes away, we enjoyed Boch Hollow a lot more and it was less than 10 minutes from the cabin! Definitely recommend staying here, you will fall in love with the quaint pond and beautiful property!

Glorious 8 day stay at Curly’s Cabin

We just completed our stay at Curly’s Cabin. Three other couples split time with us over the course of our stay. It was wonderfully relaxing for all of us! The cabin is quaint, rustic and full of amenities! Over the years we got into the habit of bringing a lot of our own pans and other things. In this case it was totally unnecessary! Everything we needed was provided and right at our fingertips. Several members of our group are avid fishermen and we really took advantage of the pond! We caught fish nearly every day of our stay. The catches included White Bass, Largemouth Bass, Sunfish and Channel Catfish. The only issue I had was access to the pond (there is a relatively steep incline that makes it a bit uncomfortable to fish.) My recommendation is to add a small dock or platform to fish from. Aside from this, out stay was spectacular! Our thanks to Cindy for being a terrific host! We’re planning to return again in the future!

Quirky, cool cabin in the woods!

This cabin had all the amenities of home--a kitchen with plenty of plates, cups, bowls, utensils, etc. There was a large table and comfortable chairs and couches. There is a large TV downstairs and an additional one in the loft. The wifi worked well for us. The bathroom had plenty of towels and we utilized the washer/dryer almost daily. We loved the bathroom light sensor that turns on when you go in! The cabin does have well water. We brought our own drinking water and our own food. The closest big grocery store is in Logan, which is not far. The stocked pond was a FAVORITE!!! The pond was the reason we booked this cabin over others in the area. My husband and son spent the majority of their time fishing and they caught: a huge carp, big bass, bluegill, red ear, and 2 different kinds of catfish. The fish liked bread and worms the best. Fishing was slow at times, but that's how fishing goes. There is no longer the beach area by the pond, which for us, was not a deal breaker. There are ceiling and tower fans in each bedroom. We utilized the air conditioner since we went at the end of July and it was HOT out. We liked the ease of use for the blinds--just a simple push up or pull down. I felt a bit "exposed" at night through the back door, as there is no curtain to close. There's nothing out there except wildlife but this city girl likes to close her blinds at night. Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin with us! We will be back!

Lovely setting but needs better cleaning and some updates

The setting and history of the cabin are great, and we particularly enjoyed exploring the area, the fire pit and the hot tub. However we had issues with several aspects: the grill is old and I wasn’t able to heat it up to above 250 degrees, which made for difficult grilling; the carpet is pretty worn and dirty looking and we weren’t comfortable going bare foot on it; upon opening the front glass door the traction tubey thing immediately stuck and wouldn’t close (we told housekeeping about it and we just removed the tube thin so we could shut the door); the patio door lacks a screen which made it hard to keep bugs out and let fresh air in; well over half of the downstairs windows weren’t able to be locked which made us nervous about leaving valuables in the cabin when we were not there; there were literally over a hundred dead wasp/bees and ladybugs in the windows when we arrived and many dead bug carcasses on the carpeted floor — we called the housekeeper and they said the cabin had been sprayed (hence the dead swarm) but ultimately we had to find the sweeper and vacuum up the carcasses so we could keep the windows open for fresh air without having carcasses fly all over the cabin; the patio would have been great to eat out on but it was covered with leaves and nuts and the table and umbrella were filthy and cobwebby — we would have been happy to blow it off or sweep it but a good push broom was not provided. So for the price we were paying, the cleanliness issues were definitely disappointing. Perhaps we are spoiled by other cabins we have stayed at, but we have never had this number of issues before. And we are due hard campers used to bugs, so having bugs wasn’t an issue — it was having so many dead carcasses all over the inside window wells and the floor.

Missing a Few Things

My family and I stayed at the cabin over the Labor Day weekend. The grounds are nice and the hammock was a favorite. The bees mentioned by another reviewer are still there and a couple managed to get into the cabin, but we actually enjoyed watching them buzz in and out of their nest. It was very fascinating for my kids. There are some cute frogs along the pond that the kids tried in vain to catch. And as a surprise there was a paddle boat for our use to paddle around the pond. A trampoline floats on the water and my kids had high hopes for that, but unfortunately, it was not inflated enough to hold anybody. So, that was a bit of a letdown. We chose a hot weekend to stay here and the upstairs gets stifling. We turned up the AC, but still had to sleep on the couches downstairs the first night. There's no remotes for the fans in the upstairs bedrooms, so one fan couldn't be turned on at all and the other fan runs on hyper-speed and can't be turned down. The TV is upstairs, so watching a little nighttime college football proved to be uncomfortable with the heat. By the second day, the cabin cooled down enough upstairs to be comfortable and we were able to sleep up there. If going during a hot period, allow several hours for the upstairs to cool. Also, Old Man's Cave is NOT 20 minutes away. The city of Logan is 20 minutes away and then it's another 20 minutes to the caves. We were meeting family and arrived 20 minutes late due to this misinformation, so if planning on spending time at Old Man's Cave, prepare for a 40 minute trip. We had a blast zip lining at Hocking Hills Canopy Tours. It's extremely expensive, but well worth it; especially the super zip. Kids loved the fast, superman experience! While I think this is a fine cabin, my problem is that I chose this cabin over all the others for three reasons: the donkeys, the fishing, and the Foosball. The donkeys were not there. The pond was not stocked, and if it had been it either A: was fished out by the time we got there or B: the fish all died. My husband is an experienced fisherman and knew within the first half hour that there were no fish in this pond. And lastly, there was no ball for the Foosball, so we didn't get to use it. So, after spending $250 a night, I do feel we were owed a bit of a refund for the misrepresentation of several things. It's a decent cabin, but luxury? No.
