Spend the night, the weekend or the week in the country. You will be amazed at comfort of this log cabin in High Hill. Located within 45 minutes of the Saint Louis Metropolitan Area and 20 minutes from the old world of Hermann, Missouri. Sit on the front porch rocker or on the screened back porch and watch the wildlife. Spend time hiking, fishing the 2 ponds or feeding the horses and miniature horse. Enjoy lunch, breakfast or dinner at one of several country diners in the area.

Perfect Cabin Retreat

To start, communication with the owners was so easy and they were super quick to respond. The cabin was beautifully decorated for Christmas, clean, and cozy! We were greeted with a lovely note and wine for our anniversary. Had everything we needed to stay and cook for ourselves all weekend. Cannot wait to book our next stay!

Much needed quiet time

This was our first time staying at a place like this so we had no idea what to expect or what we needed and and didn't need to bring. Everything was awesome! The host had all the bases covered. The setting is beautiful and was perfect for relaxing. We will definitely be back in the future. It was a great experience.

We had an amazing time relaxing in this perfect getaway cabin! We were able to reset and unwind which is what busy mothers and teachers need! We will definitely look at coming back again!

Weekend getaway

The property was amazing. The outside setting was beautiful and peaceful. The cabin was rustic and cozy. Very clean and well furnished. Communication with the host was prompt and informative and friendly. No problems at all. Highly recommend staying here and would most definitely rebook again

Front porch rockin

This home has it all. I love a small cabin in the woods and this one didn't disappoint. An outdoor burn pit, a charcoal grill and sweet horses. The home itself was wonderful! The host even put together a s'mores basket.

Richard and Rhonda are the best host. They are very personal people. The animals are a great addition to this stay. We had a nice stay.

Lovely and Peaceful

The cabin is absolutely lovely. The setting is so peaceful and quiet. It was so enjoyable to sit on the front porch in the comfy rocking chairs and just enjoy the peace and quiet. Visiting with the friendly horses is an added bonus! The cabin is very clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Will definitely be returning!

Lovely country decorated log house with two porches and one is enclosed. A lot of small surprise amenities that weren't expected. We felt right at "home". Two ponds for fishing, horses and farm animals you can feed, walking trails, outdoor bbq and fire ring. When the owner happen to see us outside or on the road, he checked to make sure everything was good or he waved as he passed. Felt very secure that if we had a problem, it would be handled promptly.

Awesome place

Peace & quiet abound here. Lots of birds. Saw hummingbirds at the flowerpot in front of cabin. A little dust from traffic on the dirt road buy not obnoxious. Wonderful front porch for relaxing in the evening or coffee in the morning in rocking chairs. Fire pit and screened porch in back, bbq grill and picnic table under a roof was a nice touch. Overall, 5 stars. Thanks, Richard & Rhonda!

Girls Getaway

We had a great time. The cabin was at a good location just off of the highway. If you want to go to Herman, you may want to use the paved road. Hanging out with the horses and outside was nice. We went to Herman and Jonesburg for a day trip and hung out at the cabin playing games till late.

Sister’s weekend

We had an amazing time at this kozy little getaway. We enjoyed the views and feeding the donkey and horses. It was a clean little cabin and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Peaceful place

The country cabin was perfect for our getaway time to refresh and refuel. We enjoyed walking the pastures and into the woods as well as along the road. The ponds provided a quiet time of catching a few little fish. The outdoor fire pit set the stage to enjoy the beautiful stars and moon at night.

Excellent Weekend Stay!

The cabin is a perfect weekend away! From just hanging out by the fire, fishing in the ponds, seeing the animals or spending time in Hermann, you can’t ask for a more relaxing and peaceful trip! Richard and Rhonda are absolutely wonderful and we would highly recommend the cabin to others!

Perfect Getaway

This is our second time staying. The hosts are amazing. The place is perfect. A cabin with tons of land to explore, and animals to hang out with. We absolutely love this place! Such a great getaway for our family.

Beautiful cabin

Very clean, cozy,serene and beautiful cabin . Mini donkey and horses are so nice to see and feed. Closed to Herman and wine trail. We will definitely stay again.

Nice getaway

The location of the cabin was perfect, remote enough but not too far away from main roads. The cabin itself was clean and a good size, the kitchen was more than acceptable for the size of the cabin. The property was well maintained and the owners provided a lot of extras so you didn't have to bring much from home. Would gladly recommend this to friends/family and would stay again.

The Cabin was a perfect little slice of pastoral paradise! It’s far enough away to feel secluded but close enough to the highway to be a short, scenic drive away from plenty of fun things to do. I’ll certainly be returning as soon as I can!

Hidden Gem

My cousin and I do a yearly retreat to catch up. This cabin was the half way point for both of us so we decided to meet here. Boy were we in for a surprise! There was so much offered to do here at The Cabin. From hiking, fishing, bonfires, grilling and of course the sweet mini farm animals to feed. We are so very thankful for such a nice serene environment. A true calming experience. Thank you Richard and Rhonda and Cash for the great time! We hope to be back soon!!
