It's a cozy cottage that was just renovated in 2021! In this cottage you feel like you went back to the 50's in a well preserved cottage located right on the water. The renovation was done to keep the original cozy feel while adding new amenities. The sandy beach makes this rustic home the perfect place to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet, disconnect from the world. Enjoy a good nights sleep in one of the 3 new queen beds. Close to the restaurants and bars of this lake community.

Great communication with host, very cozy place with excellent lake access. Only one bathroom on ground floor and two of the bedrooms are upstairs. Kitchen appliances are a little outdated and microwave was hidden in an out of the way cabinet so I didn’t even know they had one until we were leaving. Overall very nice stay and the lake is gorgeous and very peaceful.

A Lakefront Gem! Clean, well stocked and lots to do! We brought our boat and kayaks (the cabin does have 1 kayak)- lots of family time cruising the lake (watch out for very shallow areas (over on the southeast side it's shallow and rocks big enough to ding your prop-there is a topographical lake map framed on the wall at the bottom of the stairs), fishing, swimming, floating on tubes in the sandbar. Nice small beach at the cabin. Tried Captain Joes nearby - excellent food and cocktails. The screened in porch is great to watch the Purple Martins singing and zipping around feeding their young. One flew up to the screened in porch, gripped the screen and watched us for a minute, before flying off. The large firepit is great for gathering in the evening to take in the lake, make pudgie pies and relax in the comfortable chairs. A wonderful place to be. The host is responsive to any questions you may have.

Cozy cottage

We enjoyed our stay on Whitmore Lake! We found great restaurants in the area. The lake was fun for kayaking and fishing. The cottage had everything we needed for a romantic getaway weekend. The hosts even provided a bottle of wine for our anniversary!

Beautiful property! Right on the lake. Enjoyed the fireworks but also the peacefulness of the location, beautiful view every moment of the day. Hope to be back next summer.

Great find !!

We loved our stay at Whitmore Lake. Julie’s cottage is beautifully renovated. So tasteful, but left a little of the ambience of the original structure. The location is fantastic and the view from the porch is unforgettable. We had swans visit us every morning.. Don’t hesitate to book the cottage.

We loved our stay at this cozy cottage. We were in town for a Michigan football game and it was an easy drive to and from Ann Arbor. We loved coming back from the game and playing in the sand, and relaxing by the fire pit. We enjoyed our coffee on the screened in porch with the beautiful view of the lake (and swans and ducks). Cottage is nicely updated and still charming. Perfect for our family of 4 (with 2 littles - age 2 and 4). Communications with Julie were great as well. We’d love to be back.

Excellent for Visiting UM Fans

We had tickets for the game and everywhere in Ann Arbor was super expensive (or already booked) that weekend. Cozy Cottage was perfect; comfortable, clean, and 35 minutes from the stadium. We also ate at nearby restaurants and avoided the crazy busy Ann Arbor places. Our hosts responded quickly to emails and messages via the app. I recommend!
