The property was very beautiful and really made you feel like you were away from it all. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The hot tub was such a nice amenity. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything to cook a nice meal. There was also a gas and charcoal grill to use. The house was clean with the exception of some cobwebs and a musty smell throughout the house.The host was very responsive and answered questions immediately. You can tell she cares about the property and about the comfort of the guests.

Our family had a great stay here. The photos do not do this home justice. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that there is central air. Laundry was not as described but Jim made sure we had access to it. We also could not access the lake by kayak from the small inlet. The water level may have been too low. Definitely recommend staying here. It was a great layout for our family. Everyone was comfortable with the space.

Hi Jessica, thank you for your kind review. When you reported the lake access had a problem we went out there and were shocked at how low the lake was - we have had such hot, dry weather it has never been this low. That being said, we made sure that the way has been cleared now so kayak access has been restored again. Thank you for letting us know! Cheers!

If you are looking for an absolutely beautiful, peaceful retreat, this is the place! The house is very clean, inviting, and beautiful. There is a very large kitchen, and open dining and living area to hang out as a family. The hammock in the living room was a huge hit with our teenagers! The hot tub is amazing. Communication with the hosts could not have been better. Responses to any questions came quickly and Jim went above and beyond to help! It is close to a lot of fun beaches, shops in Shawano, and of course the Dairy Cove in Cecil. If you bring kids/teenagers, drive the 40 minutes to Green Bay and Bay Beach Amusement Park. Super cheap and fun!

From the provided kayaks to the comfy hammock in the living room, we loved our stay here !! The cabin is so cozy and gorgeously crafted; the details are beautiful. We will be saving this location for future stays

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. The cabin was beautiful and comfortable, and the surrounding property was very quiet and peaceful. Our family enjoyed kayaking, campfires, and playing lawn games outside.

Overall a cute place to stay; as the owner states, it’s is a work in progress, so some unfinished projects, but the owner is transparent about that.…our adult kids loved the hot tub.

Relaxing retreat

Booked this cabin in the summer. Setting was very relaxing and private, with many amenities. Would likely book this again in the future.

Excellent Retreat

Our family booked and stayed at this beautiful cabin. It was a nice and private get away. Cabin has all the modern conveniences. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Secluded getaway

We enjoyed the property and our time there. It was secluded and very private. Cabin was beautifully decorated, comfortable and had most of the items we needed for our stay. Spent some time near Shawno swimming at the beach and did some hiking at Shute Pond. Lots of great places to eat nearby.

Way better than pictures!

Pictures do not justify the coziness and amazingness of this cabin. We really enjoyed it, the outdoor area was amazing, very remote and quiet. Will definitely be back!

Winter Getaway

We had a lovely time! We wanted a private weekend to relax and that's exactly what we got. The dogs loved to romp around the property and we loved the warm fireplace and hot tub to come back to. You could feel the home was built with love and care and made for the perfect weekend!

The property was amazing! Down a long private driveway, great space to play yard games, kayaking and canoeing had a great set up. We like to cook our meals during a vacation and the kitchen had a great set up which we really appreciate. There were horse flies but not all the time. The porch was a favorite spot and the kids loved reading in the hammocks. Loved the piece and quiet. Great local winery and farmers market just a short drive away.

Bird watchers Paradise.

It was a quiet and relaxing place. Birds were migrating, the first weekend in April. It was a little muddy, so bring your mud boots, binoculars and field book is required.

We came to Gillette for the Roy Hubbard Memorial Truck Show. Location was awesome. The home is beautiful but way to many cobwebs and could of left a couple more rolls of toilet paper. Having access to the row boat was fun. To bad the weather wasn't great but the family time was. Thank you

Cabin Crew Approved

Gathered a group of ladies to celebrate my birthday. Enjoyed the large Kitchen, Hot Tub, Indoor Fireplace, Watching wildlife from the windows and Solitude. Hosts were very helpful.
