Architect designed one of two residential units and an owner owned and operated arts and antique gallery on the first floor. Central heating, air-condition and gas fire place. cathedral ceilings through out. 1 queen size bedroom suite w/ an old fashioned claw foot tub w/shower with a bidet.
A well equipped state of art kitchen with high end appliances, including the washer and dryer. 3rd floor location but step out to a beautifully landscaped spacious tranquil Zen garden with Koi fishpond w/water fall. blue stone patio surrounded by bamboo grove and brick garden wall. garden furniture. Although the property is listed as one bedroom, there is another bedroom (see photo) available with a full size bed for an extra bed for an additional nightly rate of $25.00 for each guest.if you desire to travel with more than two in the party (max. total of 4 guest).

Fabulous property, beautifully decorated, stocked with everything one would ever need, comfy beds, beautiful baths and kitchen, and the most superb gardens in historic Marblehead. just steps from shopping, restaurants, fantastic walks through parks with views of the harbor and the ocean beyond…

Weekend in Salem MA

Host was very attentive and made sure we had a very good stay. Place was cozy and comfortable. We would stay here again when we visit the Marblehead area.

A Very cozy place to stay

When we first arrived at the property it felt very refreshing, warm and welcoming. The owner was very friendly, communication was great the town itself was very nice. I would definitely return.

A Surprise Addition to our Salem Get-Away Weekend

When we booked our October stay in Marblehead, we deliberately selected a place that was removed from the busy streets of Salem. We didn't expect this charming little gem of a place - so cozy and inviting. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor garden space and loved the added touches provided by the host. Thank you Jessica, we enjoyed our stay and slept well at night!

This was an amazing stay! Jess was very attentive. The koi were very cute and we were really comfortable. The parking space was so nice to have so we were able to uber to Salem. Located in a cute town with a great little specialty market and lovely restaurants.

Weekend in Marblehead

We were in town for a wedding and really enjoyed our stay. The decor was just gorgeous and fitting for the space. The outdoor space was pleasant to sit and read and enjoy a tea. Our host was gracious, welcoming and accommodating.

A wonderful place to stay and explore Marblehead, Salem, and Gloucester

Jessica’s apartment is simply wonderful. It’s spotless, beautifully furnished, and has a well equipped (3 coffee makers! French Press, drip and Keurig) kitchen with modern appliances. The patio and garden are peaceful and a great place to have mornIng coffee or tea even though it’s in the center of town. The koi pond adds to the peace. The distance is because of the stairs to the apartment but we think it’s worth the climb. The building is steps away from a terrific market and an Italian restaurant that’s very good. There’s an ice cream parlor just beyond the market. If you’re after a cafe/bakery, there are two not more than a 5 minute walk. There’s very good sushi at Junji’s and of course lobster at several seafood places. If you’re after lobster and in town on Wednesday, definitely check out Bargain Day at the Barnacle. It’s a 15-20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive. Salem is 15 minutes, Gloucester 10 minutes more - Rockport is a bit more than a half hour farther. All easy, suburban roads. Jessica is a wonderful host, easy to contact and very responsive. She even let us feed the koi. We will definitely stay at Jessica’s the next time we’re in the area.

Perfect relaxing getaway

I booked this property for a short weekend getaway to relax and recharge. It was absolutely what I needed! A very clean and cozy space with various places to unwind and enjoy company. I often forgot we were a short walk to the historic district! Jess and her husband were also very welcoming and responsive. Would definitely book again if in the area!

Wonderful!

This rental is the perfect place to call home while visiting Marblehead! It is clean, very well equipped (including shampoo, coffee, etc) and has a lot of character. The location is ideal - an easy walk through old town to the harbor and to the stores and restaurants of downtown. Jess is a delightful host - warm, friendly and accommodating. We will be back to this little corner of zen living!

Great location

Overall, the living space was clean and well maintained. I had a user error with the dishwasher and the owner promptly replied to me and assisting with the issue (yes it was my fault, not the equipment). Many other "extras" that made our stay comfortable. Ex: beach chairs, extra bathroom towels, pillows for the outdoor seating, extra pillows for the bedroom, throw blankets, etc. The outdoor space was tranquil and inviting both during the day and at night. The lighting created an ambiance at night that made you want to sit outside a bit longer and enjoy the summer evening. Personally, we experienced zero negatives during our stay. The owner of the property was welcoming, willing to answer any questions and prompt in her responses. We would love to stay at this property again if ever in Marblehead!

Great location and beautiful property

The location made it easy to explore the town of Marblehead on foot. It also was convenient foe trips to nearby cities like Salem and Boston. The property is everything promised; relaxing, clean, and full of personality. Jessica is a gracious host who truly wants your stay to be amazing.

Christmas in Marblehead

We were very warmly welcomed for our stay over Christmas, even with holiday decorations! This is a very comfortable space, with room to spread out, or be cozy together around the fireplace. The furniture and beds are all very comfortable. A claw foot tub in the main bath was a true luxury. Jess is a very attentive host, who took great care to meet our requests. The location is perfect to enjoy the delights of Marblehead. Be mindful that it is on the third floor, so there are steps to climb to get there. That being said, once you are up, it feels like home.

Great spot

I loved this location, the area was beautiful to walk around. the apartment was fun, there is a loft area that the girls loved to hang out in, out side is the perfect space for morning meditation or qigong. I wished we had a little better weather on our stay but the couple of days that were nice the zen garden was perfect. Jessica was very helpful and pleasant to talk with she allowed enough space to get ourselves together after a long drive, and was available whenever needed. I would highly recommend this location for a stay.

Perfect in every way!!

The property was in the perfect location for checking out Marblehead and a short (cheap) Uber ride into Salem! Jess was wonderful and the place was clean and beautiful. The beds were extremely comfortable too!! Definitely recommend if you're planning to visit Marblehead and/or Salem!!

Such a cool place

My friend and I wanted to visit Salem, but did not want to stay there. We found this charming two bedroom/2 bath apartment in Marblehead. The en suite bathroom has a clawfoot tub, I had shower, and a bidet. The owner, Jessica could not be more accommodating. The furnishings and accents are a combo of oriental and eclectic. It was immaculate. The weather complied, and we were able to have coffee outside in the Zen garden. If you rent this place, you will not be disappointed.

Unsafe and uncomfortable

Prior to the stay, the host was constantly messaging me with random updates and demanded that I check in at a certain time. I told her I would check in at some point after the 3pm start time of the booking. On the day we checked in, I was exploring the area on vacation with friends, and received a call from the host demanding to know where I was and how many people I was with. She then mentioned to be on the lookout for a water leak, to which I asked if she had called a plumber. She told me she had taken care of it. When we arrived at the apartment, I received a text saying she was glad we arrived. We felt like we were being watched, but still wanted to give it a try since there were limited options for places to stay nearby. We went out to dinner and when we came back, a ton of water had filled the laundry room and was leaking everywhere. I called the host and she and her husband came pretty quickly, but said that no plumber could fix it that weekend. She told us we would need to shower in her long term tenant apartment in the unit beneath us. We told her we felt completely uncomfortable showering in a strangers apartment but she kept insisting. Finally, I called Vrbo for a resolution. They were able to get her to agree to give us a full refund but not before she made up random accusations about us. We had to find somewhere else to stay at 11:30pm because we felt so unsafe at this location and at the hosts insistence we shower in a stranger’s unit.

Great stay in Marblehead!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Jess's property! The location was perfect! It's close to restaurants and shops that are within walking distance. We had a great time exploring Marblehead and Salem which was only 5 miles away! The property has everything you need including a cute little outdoor space. Jess was super friendly, easy to communicate with and more than willing to help with anything you may need!

Fabulous Zen Retreat

This property is even more beautiful than I had imagined and was very sad when I had to leave the incredible Zen garden. It features comfortable, luxurious accommodations with a well equipped gourmet kitchen…the location is fantastic with easy walking to all that Marblehead has to offer… Jesse was the most lovely host imaginable and we will be staying with her again.

Review of Jessica's place in Marblehead

Jessica and her husband were SO NICE. When we let her know about our late arrival she offered to get some food to leave for us in case restaurants were not open when we arrived. Her husband greeted us to show us the apartment and Jessica left two pieces of homemade apple pie for us which were delicious. We were very happy with our stay.

Comfort and relaxation at Zen Apartment

The apartment was immaculate and very well equipped. There is an allotted parking space and both inside and outside steps up to the apartment. For me the location was perfect as it is in central Marblehead so I could walk to shops, restaurants, etc. Although downtown, in back of the apartment is an Asian garden and a large table and chairs where one can eat outdoors and is completely private. It was great for having nearby family for lunch. Excellent AC indoors. Jessica was a gracious host throughout. Very satisfied.

Cozy and Convenient

Jess’s place was just as described and Jess was a very welcoming and accommodating host. Her communication was prompt and articulate. The day we checked in was super rainy and Jess arrrived at the door shortly after we got there with extra umbrellas to use!! I highly recommend this property

Relaxing get away!

This was a very relaxing place to stay. Within walking distance to everything! Very comfortable and Jessica thought of everything to make our stay special. Excellent host, can’t wait to come back again!

We are a mature couple who owns and operates an arts and antique gallery on the first ground floor a few days of a week. Although we are experienced landlords for many years in town, running vacation homes rentals is a new venture for us.
The space is deigned and built for us in recent years for better comfort and luxury living including a central air, a convenient gas fire place and spacious kitchen with high end appliances.
We moved out to another property we own that needed the renovation.
During the Pandemic, We furnished the place for a couple, friends of ours.. who needed the place when their grown children decided to move back home with their grand children.
When they left after 8 month, we decided to keep the place as furnished and started vocational rental business. We are looking forward to start our new exciting venture.
We live just around the corner with two parakeets and two beloved pets that I do not like to even refer them as "dogs" but consider them as our kids. Our close proximity make it easy to be available for guests if needed.

Although it's centrally located, we are a few blocks away from hustle and bustling shopping area providing the plenty street parkings as well as one car off street designated parking space on the property. You will find the place to be comfortable with modern convenience of luxury amenity but also offer an enchanting tranquil Asian garden to enjoy overlooking Koi fish pond with a water fall in the Summer
