We rented this home for a family wedding. It was centrally located to all of the places that the parties took place. Very close to pavilions grocery and great restaurants. Would definitely rent again while in Santa Barbara. The home is decorated beautifully even if we only used the living room to pass through to go outdoors. Beautiful scenery and landscaping. Not to forget the pool area.

A wonderful house where a lot of thought was put into making it a fun and comfortable place. Our family used it as a base for an immersion experience to the Santa Barbara area, and it was perfect for that. The bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms offered privacy for adults.Thanks to the owner for their willingness to share their home--a top VRBO rental among our stays.

This is a beautiful home with lovely views, a tremendous kitchen and responsive hosts. We loved the pool and the hot tub and the property is very pretty.There was plenty of space inside and out for our family of seven adults and one dog. We happened to be there during a heat spell, and it turns out that two of the bedrooms are not air-conditioned. Under normal circumstances that wouldn't matter, as Santa Barbara is very temperate, but it was a little uncomfortable for the people sleeping in those rooms. We would absolutely stay in this house again!

As you chose to mention the AC specifically, for the benefit of future guests I want to just say that we are currently in line to get an additional AC unit installed in the remaining 2 bedrooms. We expect that it will be completed shortly.

Great experience from start to finish!

Family and friends had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The grounds and pool are beautiful and the patio with spectacular views was difficult to leave. It’s just minutes from shops and restaurants and any easy drive to Santa Barbara and nearby wineries. Thank you to our hosts for a great time.

A week retreat for surfing family to clear your soul…

Lovely location and gardens full of tropical plants. Great pool and spa. Host most accommodating; owner quite nice. The beds are great; the house is a bit shabby chic. Quite comfy.

Wonderful English style property

Heated pool great linens Toto in master big screen, TV, gourmet kitchen, wonderful gardens ideally located in Montecito. Close to the Santa Barbara, where we could have a great dinner at Bouchon Rancho San Isidro Biking along the Pacific is it to the zoo and the bird sanctuary great shopping ideal vacation

joyful family reunion with enough space for everyone.

We were cozy, warm during some spring rains. Enjoyed the kitchen. The whole vibe of the garden and live orchids inside had us delighted. The home was creative and welcoming in all ways!

5 Star Resort Experience

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this lovely property. The layout of the house was ideal for our family group of older and younger teens, and the location was convenient for shopping, restaurants, beaches, and hiking. The views, skylights, large deck, and open French doors made it feel like our own private resort. This is a special house that we would definitely look at renting again.

Family "staycation"

This home served as a family "home base" for our children and grandchildren for two weeks. We all live in the local area, yet I wanted to find a place where we could all enjoy our time in private surroundings - but close enough to walk to shops and beach. A perfect home for this.

Comfortable luxury in Santa Barbara

We had a wonderful week in this comfortable family home in a stunning part of Santa Barbara on the Montecito border. Property listing was accurate, everything was as expected or better. This home is full of love and art, but still somehow spotlessly clean. Great layout for extended family get together and special times on the patio and in the pool. Loved it!

Incredible experience all around. Host is extremely kind and accommodating. Home extremely comfortable and full of fascinating decor. Everything about the house is very warm and personal, in a the best way. The pictures on VRBO don't do it justice. Kitchen is stocked if you'd like to cook complex meals. Plenty of room for our large family to spread out and enjoy privacy as well as multiple group areas for time together. The outdoor space alone made it worth every penny. The sloped garden and is beautiful and very relaxing. Pool is immaculate and was perfect for afternoon dips. We especially enjoyed the outdoor patio in the evenings, looking out over the ocean while cooking on the bbq and eating dinner outdoor dinner. Hope to come back soon!!

Interesting, comfortable, roomy, complete

Our family had a wonderful experience in the home while enjoying Santa Barbara. The house, its porch, the pool, the view, and the dual public spaces provided an outstanding base of exploration. Its close proximity to the action made it doubly suitable. When we rent a house for vacation, we look for 3 things: An interesting house, a view, and comfort. We had all three here. And for desert, the hosts are top notch with excellent communication.

Ellen's Birthday

This is an amazing property. We were a group of eight -- three couples and two singles -- and everyone enjoyed the house. At one level, it is very comfortable and well equipped. The pool and hot tub were great, and the views spectacular. But the house was much more than that. It is clearly an extension of its owners -- beautifully decorated with antiques, treasures from their travels, an eclectic book collection and some very quirky stuff. Our four days were something of a treasure hunt. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

California Riviera

A casually elegant property that is sublimely private, yet close to the Butterfly Beach, local shops, and 10 minutes or so to State Street’s and other restaurants in Santa Barbara. The home is well-appointed with a modern chef’s kitchen, refreshing pool (that is serviced twice a week), multiple areas to lounge outside, a large dining table with barbeque. The home is tastefully decorated with art, books, and personal memorabilia and has all the amenities that one would desire for a family or friend vacation. The owners are very responsive and welcoming. Our family had a wonderful vacation in part due to ambience and setting.

Spectacular

The house is beautiful, with amazing art, big functional kitchen, living, dining areas, and 5 very comfortable bedrooms. We were a large family of 9, and everyone had enough space and privacy. The patio with an awning is incredible, and we spent most of our time there. The host was very welcoming and available, and the check in was seamless. Views are spectacular. Many grocery stores and places to meet all your daily needs within 2-3 minute drive. Not a super walkable location due to just roads and not consistent sidewalks, but we still managed to walk around and go on runs (get ready for some hills). A perfect stay.

Stayed for my daughters graduation from UCSB

Great house with terrific views of the ocean. The owner Richard met us at arrival and went over all the particulars about the house, absolute gentleman. The house has more than enough room to host a big family although it was only 3 of us. I would highly recommend staying here if your visiting the Santa Barbara area.
